    I'd always been on the fence about the Fused, because of its shape. Also the same reason why I love my Intense so much. You described the differences between these spot on, and the most valuable part of it for me was when you explained the situations for which either type of shape would be useful. I really value these breakdowns you do, keep it up!

    I love this comparison video. Using OG footage from the Fused was a great Idea as we can definitely see the "true" differences between the two balls. The shapes on the back-ends are truly evident and it helps me tremendously on making my decision on which one to purchase as I don't have the Fused either. Great job Luke!!! As always!!

    Hey Luke I like hyper cell over other ball. But just got idol pearl go with my no rules, hyper cell, hustle ink. Do you think I need another ball some where around there. Or do you think that good set up for different oil patterns?

    Hi Luke, big fan here! I have the intense, and absolutely love it. Question, what would you recommend to complement it, for both situations, when the Intense is too strong as well as too weak, Cheers!!!

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When the Intense is too weak, you're going to need something like a Sure Lock, there aren't many that hook more than the Intense. When it's too strong, the Fire might be a good step down or if that's too close, might go down to something like a Son!Q

    Are you a fan of twister pins? We're considering getting them at my center. What are your thoughts on them?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a huge fan. They carry differently than wood pins though, they're more active. They mix up better on light hits, but you'll get a few more taps, some solid back row leaves, but you won't get those light mixer 7s that drive me insane line with wood. Wood pins on new synthetic lanes just act dead to me. Twisters are also better for the center, they have 3 year warranties and cost about the same, so instead of buying new pins every year or trying to squeeze an extra year out of old pins, the center just has to buy pins every 3 years now which means they can spend that money on upgrades elsewhere. The savings on pins just bought my home center some nice upgrades, plus I like the pin action better.

    • @codysmith3264
      @codysmith3264 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We're an older center. Wood lanes, with guardian overlay(which I despise) and carry here is a little tough. I pitched the idea to the owner considering the cost and longevity versus wood pins. Thanks for the response Luke. Appreciate your videos.

  • @ARtroncatbama
    @ARtroncatbama 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    For collegiate bowling which one of these would you recommend? I would mainly use either of these when the lanes start to break down and transition a lot. You mentioned that the intense fire was more continuous and the fused just sets and hooks for more control on the backend. When the lanes break down I would think you would want something more controllable on the back end, so when you’re deeper inside it doesn’t just keep hooking. So I’m still leaning towards the fused as I was before this video but I want a second opinion! I also wanna base it off of what ball would suit my bag better. I own a roto idol (usually with surface as the first ball out of my bag), track mako (don’t really like it much, usually with surface), an eternal cell (probably will replace it with a show off or daredevil trick soon, sometimes with surface), a hustle ink (beautiful smooth ball for when the lanes break down but still hooks), a hywire, timeless, no rules pearl, hy road pearl and a pitch black. You have convinced me to buy many balls in my bag btw! Just want to know which ball, fused or intense fire, would be better suiting when the lanes break down and match up to my bag well! Thanks (:
    I’m on the fence with both, both look strong and good balls! Just wanna make the right decision with my money since I’m tough on money being in college! The intense fire’s continuation could also be a good thing too though.
    Sorry if it’s confusing to read I’m bad at writing 😂

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ARtroncatbama I’m not really sure either is a good idea honestly, they’d definitely need the shine knocked off and I think they’re just too strong. By the time you’re done with your 1 ball, they’re going to be too strong to drop down to. Might look at like a Son!Q or something instead. If you don’t have an Idol, that’s definitely a college ball too.

    • @ARtroncatbama
      @ARtroncatbama 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luke Rosdahl yup that’s what I was thinking they’re both so strong. And yep got an idol last year when it came out to replace my mako bc I couldn’t stand it. I still have the mako just won’t get used much

    what current ball has the hook/set reaction as the hyper cell fused?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lovewinson3 The Halo Pearl has a similar shape on the lane. It’s a little longer and a couple boards weaker than the Fused, but similar hook/set motion

    • @lovewinson3

      Luke Rosdahl is the hook/set same as a skid flip ?

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, skid flip is describing a sharper shape overall, hook/set is when the ball stops and goes on a straighter line in the direction of the rotation instead of being more continuous
