stumbled upon your channel by chance (debating moving to big bear and wanted to see a perspective from someone in the 20's-30's age range) and now I am just the biggest fan. 10/10 editing, commentary, filming, b-roll & scenic shots- from context clues I'm assuming you're a veteran? My brothers/dad are so I feel obligated to thank you for your service, even though ya'll hate being told that (lol). Anyways- love the content, really really helpful for my specific need but also in general, you deserve to blow up and get lovely sponsored trips nationwide & beyond!(:
Hi Jordan, This has been one of favorite videos you've made. I've been going to Convict Lake since I was a kid. What a great view to wake up to. Thank you for the work you do!
I absolutely adore this lake. I’ve been camping at convict lake every summer since I was a kid and I’ve always had an amazing time. I’m glad you had a great time there.
Jordan: if you like mtn lakes in CA, check out the Lakes Basin area and campgrounds near Graeagle and Downieville. Plus, the history of these towns is fascinating!
Did you get to swim in the hot springs before they closed it for swimming? Some of my fave childhood memories there, even if I nearly broke toes on the mossy boulders in the water.
If you ever do want to try fishing the best spots are at the far end of the lake where you found that secluded beach. You will find a could have inlets there and two tall trees. We go there once a year and usually catch no less than 20-25 fish for the day. Yes all catch and release
CONVICT LAKE. I love Convict Lake so much. The restaurant is SO pricy, but really good. I've stayed in the cabins, too. They're cute, but only really cost efficient in the off-season. Luckily, as long as they aren't completely snowed in, they're great to stay in. :D I'm so glad you hit up Convict Lake! June Lake is another good one.
Go there several times a year and although this place is beautiful, the most popular campground in all of Mammoth and one of the top campsites and hardest to book in the country is Twin Lakes Campground above Mammoth. Twin lakes is breath taking as well
The mammoth lakes area has a lot to offer. Convict lake is one of the many stops we take along the 395. You should definitely stop by the June lake loop and the Pine Cliff Resort camping spots.
Hey man! We are a couple that does lots of tent camping during Spring and Summer and been watching to your camping videos. I find it very amusing to know what people complain about! Ha ha! Convict is our favorite for being is the closest most beautiful from SFV (4.5 Hours). About the reviews, we love dipping in cold water so we always look for spots not to close to people fishing. Also SUP's are a must to get way from them. I'm sure there's place for everybody. Laurel lakes looks beautiful but I wouldn't dare going on my CRV. We hiked to Valentine and Mildred lakes around the area. Mildred is tough but most beautiful place we hiked so far. We almost crossed our paths! We actually were at Twin Lakes Campground from August Wed 28th to Fri 30th, jumping from lake to lake doing SUP. Season is ending, last for us will be Potswisha next week. Regards!
Hey! Thank you both for watching. There’s some wild reviews out there. I’m about 4.5hrs away from it as well but I’ll gladly make the drive. I’ll have to try those hikes out. Thanks for the suggestion. Sooo close, perhaps our paths will cross one day. Thanks again for watching the channel
Just returned from the Sierra about four hours ago. We went to June Lake, Lake Mary and Pleasant Valley reservoir. We do fish, and you should give it a go. You like fish tacos, you can make them with trout and they're quite tasty. Just sayin'. Loving Poolkarr 2.0, too. Nicely done! Glad you had a good time in my favorite part of the world.
I would love to make my own trout fish tacos. Hope y’all caught plenty on your trip. Yeah the Pool Karr 2.0 did great. My favorite part of the world now too.
I love the eastern sierras! You’ll need to check out the “other” twin lakes in Bridgeport. Just spent a week there (the week before Labor Day). But there’s tons of beautiful lakes & camp spots off the 395.
I love your videos. Gentle, but funny with a little spice and so beautiful too. They always put me in a good mood. Also - please explain .. is that a gun!? tattoo. Thank you.
Thank you so much. That’s pretty much exactly what I’m aiming for. So happy to hear it puts you in a good mood. And yeahhhhh 😅😅😅, I made really bad choices when I was young. 🔫
Karrpool Fishing would be dope, just dive into the sport with no experience, the Trials, Tribulations, Cost investment...reward and frustrations of fishing would be interesting. just a thought
Clearly team laurel. And Laurel Lake was quite clear!!! 😅 My brother goes to convict and lake Mary up there he always says how peaceful it is...now I gotta put it on the list
I was looking for your channel last week and YT wouldn’t take me to your page. Yes, I missed tge second r in karr…but it kept correcting my spelling to car pool. So annoying.
They literally gave you 5 fries and they look kinda depressing lol. I just had steak frites at a fancy speakeasy in Anaheim and it was $34 for more than you got there. 😅 That might be a bit too rich for my blood.
Don't bother shore fishing there. First of all, most of the good fishing spots are gone due to the high water level. Next are the insane poachers that just setup right next to you. Then there's the people who park their cars at the boat launch ramp so now boaters have less spaces to park their vehicles much less launch their boats. All of the Mammoth area is just over developed. A couple of months ago, we took our trailer to the Mammoth RV park for the first time. It was insane. We're done with Mammoth.
I know I have said it before but this channel deserves to blow up. One of my favorite watches.
It definitely will
It’s these kind of comments that make me believe it will. Thank you so much!!!!!
Totally agree!
This is probably my favorite series on TH-cam
Thanks Larry. I appreciate it. It’s been super fun to do.
Hey Mr.Karr just wanted to say my Dad and I came across your channel and we watch every new video together!! Keep up the good work sir!!!
I love that! Thank you and your father for watching. I’ll do my best 🫡
Mammoth is probably the best place in California hands down
Right? I think I was convinced that on this trip. 🤝🏽
That Doppelganger fishing dude in the booth at the General store was awesome. lol
Right?!
Your one liners are so solid… “anyway forget about my dating history”… actually I’d like to hear more 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Great video as always!!
Thank you 😊😊😊. Ughhh I made a lot of bad choices in my life. My whole history in life is pretty colorful 🙃. I appreciate you as always
Man I love the eastern Sierra.
Me too 🤘🏾
So excited for when new videos come up. This has become by favourite camping channel. Great work!
That means a lot to me. Thank you so much! 😊

Hey Jordan…Hope all is well. Great video. Wow…Epic views Thanks for sharing
Hey Deborah!!! Thank you once again for watching. Hope all is well with you too.
I absolutely adore this lake. I’ve been camping at convict lake every summer since I was a kid and I’ve always had an amazing time. I’m glad you had a great time there.
Meeee too! It’s so beautiful. I’ve only driven by real quick one time. I might need to make this an every summer thing too.
Now you can visit Bailey and visit campgrounds in CO. 👍
Exactly. I’m definitely planning on investigating in Colorado soon 🤫

Fun video! Enjoy your next adventure Bailey!
Thank you so much! 🤘🏾
Love it up there..awesome stuff!!!!!
Thanks Mary. I love it too
I stayed in 002 next to the host the Monday after you. Host was great!
Nice! Yeah all the hosts I met were great

Wow! This place is beautiful
Good to see that your camp visitors were not bears, that's usually what I get when I am in Mammoth.
I was actually hoping to befriend one this trip. Maybe next time.
Have fun Bailey the babe!
Thanks Mike 🤘🏾
Great video. Good luck in Colorado Bailey.
Thank you 🙏
You my friend are awesome. All the way from Bishop creek up to June Lake is awesome. Definitely the spot. Safe travels my dude.
Thank you so much 🤘🏾
This area has been on my list for awhile. It looks great! Best of luck in Colorado, Bailey!
It’s a must see area for sure. Thank you so much!
Camped up there as a kid. Love the area. Twin Lakes, June Lake......

I just pulled up next to you in Bakers (truxton). We enjoy your channel man👍

What a good time. Sad to see Bailey leave. But she will do good in Colorado. Keep them coming 🔥
Yes she will. Thanks bro.
Yep, by far the most beautiful place so far🙌🏼
So beautiful.

Dude. You reviewed Buena Vista Lake Campground in Bakersfield. LOL. That's proper.
My next video is another Bakersfield one too 😂 and I gotta say I wanted to leave early so bad.
Where is the boat ramps for the power boats and jetskis? No floating body parts?
Buena Vista for the win!!!
That’s true. This lake lacks the character that Buena vista has. And the E. coli apparently.
I liked the video
What do you think the temps were at night? I can't handle cold temps camping, so I mainly camp in the desert. Would love to camp here though.
The temps at night weren’t too bad for myself. But it did get down to high 50°s
Passed your doppelgänger walking into the general store! 😂
Twins 😂
Such a peaceful looking area, much better than Tuff campground down the road from there.
Totally agree!
Bro that restaurant was so expensive for what it was lol. Another great video!
It was insanely pricey. But apparently in the top 100 romantic restaurants at one point.
*promoted to my 2nd favorite youtuber.
Thats what I'm talking about 🤘🤘🤘🤘. Thank you.
what time of the year did you venture to Laurel Lake?
Labor Day weekend
Our convict lakes outside of Philly look a lot different (vid gives me one more reason to escape the armpit of Murica here).
I feel that. I’m from the armpit of California and escaping is my favorite thing to do 😂
🔥 🔥 🔥
That fishing fortune teller looks a lot like the host 🫵😂😉
😂 that’s gonna be me in 10 years when I’m too old to be making videos.
Best wishes to Bailey in Colorado! Bye Bailey!
Thank you 🤘🏾
Can we get your bronco specs? Tire size, tire brand, lift height, suspension.. ? :)
Dude, you’re the best you mentioned an app a while back that had all the cheapest and most random campsites. What was that app again?

Me too. I felt offended for no good reason 😂
You're love for the united states is unparalleled!
Thanks friend. I do love it! Might go Mr. Worldwide one day though.
How was the bathroom?
The bathrooms were actually super clean when I went. Seems like they do a good job of taking care of it
Are there showers?
No unfortunately there isn’t. But there’s a lake 😂
Clearly team laurel. And Laurel Lake was quite clear!!! 😅 My brother goes to convict and lake Mary up there he always says how peaceful it is...now I gotta put it on the list
Team Laurellllll! Let’s gooo! Yeah it’s a must see, add it to the list.
I'd get one of those portable telescopic fishing pole and whip it out whenever there is a nice ass looking body of water. Catch and cook.
Think I could fish off the paddle board
I was looking for your channel last week and YT wouldn’t take me to your page. Yes, I missed tge second r in karr…but it kept correcting my spelling to car pool. So annoying.

I definitely should. Gotta brush up and get a pole.
Wait... Who's Bailey? You and your wife's roommate? 😅
