I loved driving thru Joshua Tree. The rocky part. Took some great pics of our Motorhome nestled in the rocks. I long to be back. I belong there lol. Unfortunately my husband passed away and my travels to your beautiful country (which I saw very little of) are over. Another area I loved was Oatman. Now I'm sad. But I do have great memories.
I’ve stayed at the date farm with my wife and pup about 4 months ago. Great little spot for a relaxing getaway, my wife and I thought at least. A little pricy but the host is nice and he is very tentative to help 🤙🏼
I wish I could just quit my job and do what u do the freedom u have amazing just living life to the fullest seeing God's country. Keep up the video brother
Man I love your creative handling of all the info you got from Ron. 4.2 star for comical production, sorry only 1.2 star for educational summary of desert aquifers.
To be honest I've camped in many number ones in my life. Never got stabbed but the threat was real. Heck, I slept on a picnic table in downtown Miami with gun battles going on around me. It said it was a campground, it ended up being a murder park. The Mexican Coke was definitely real. It's those times you wake up in the morning and realize all the wildlife is in your sleeping bag with you because they're also afraid to be in that park alone that you'll always remember.
@@karrpoollane we were "cheaping out" on a road trip to the keys to do some diving. There was this camping area in Miami, I think the tent pads were made of discarded needles. I told my buddy, "I'm just gonna sleep on the picnic table". Woke up with raccoons in my sleeping bag with me. I had very cheap friend back then. He was the rest area camping king.
The first one would only be good if it was dispersed camping and in the middle of nowhere! The third one, waaay to expensive for my taste and what they offer. But the second one?? WOW!!! It's perfection! Great price, full size pool (not that crap from #3) private Jacuzzi, and A/C in the yurt? can't go wrong! and so lush with all those palm trees. Loved it!
My dude! Thank you, I’m new to the camping world and most deff will check Joshua tree out. I’ve worked and stayed in DHS for weeks and notice this spot on the way there but never investigated. Normally I do tent camp, but this would be nice. Keep it up bro! I love your vibe and energy 🤙🏽 I just subscribe and sign for all notifications 🙌🏽👊🏽
#2 for sure. Love your campground review videos. Came across the Pismo Beach review. Love Oceano. I’m an RVer and the site levelness was nice to see. Look forward to more of your one star campground reviews.
The yurt 🛖 with AC where they gave you the box of dates & the nice big pool. (Of course I liked the campsite at JTNP, too, but it can be hard to get a reservation). 🎉
I reckon a good date at the date farm. That place looked great for the price and a personal hot tub, with FRESH unique mineral water too! and A/C - how cool is that ( well thats what an/A/c is for!.) lol. Anyway ... 1 was a bust, and 3 looked nice, but no a/c and not as good a vibe as Number 2. So for $85, i think thats pretty reasonable
Another gem that I missed! 💎 I’m glad you weed out the good and bad places out in the wilderness, Jordan! To yurt or not to yurt…that is the question! 🧐😂 I agree…#2 was fun and had everything you need in the desert. I would be interested in seeing the containers and castles at #3 but the price is a bit steep. For free, I got the 411 and all the fun! Thank you for always making me laugh! 😊❤
12:40 I never make the bed before I leave. They'll have to change the sheets for the next guest, and then they'll make the bed. As for the camping, I always have one question for a spot in a southwestern desert. Are there scorpions? If yes, I don't camp there. (Almost died several years ago after being stung by an Arizona Bark Scorpion. The life-saving anti-neurotoxin cost $95,100. Money well spent.)
I stayed at that date farm a couple years ago. They never got the AC working, but they did fill a tub for us, which was pretty nice. Hopefully they got their power situation sorted since then.
Been checking out your vids and like your style. You have those cool Steve Wallis or Field Days vibes, meaning the kind of guy that would be cool to chill with or crack a beer with by a fire. Just subscribed to the channel and hope you get tons more to pay for campsites across America, maybe the world someday! Good luck and keep up the great content!
Great video! LOL yeah the Mexican coke comment was hilarious! I'm a subscriber now. I've heard that Mexican Coke is the best Coke because it's made with real sugar, not artificial sweeteners like in the US, so it's the "tastiest". Funny since you said you only drink sugar free soda if you drink any soda at all, and that was probably the most sugary of all. The #2 yurt/mineral spring hot tub place obviously looked the best. I'll bet the #1 "campground" is a glorified parking spot for those that just need a cheap place to park overnight, assuming camping on the side of the road isn't allowed.
Wife and I made it a mission to see the Red Woods! During a rest stop I came across one of your videos. I live in the Joshua Tree area great vid you gotta a subscriber!
These campground review videos are amazing. New subscriber and can't wait to check out more of your content. Thank you for making the big sacrifices for us. I'm trying to talk my wife into that $85 yurtscursion. Looked pretty awesome.
I am enjoying your videos. #2 looks like the one I would like the best. #3 was a joke. #1 Is very familiar for me since my family camps on BLM land to motorcycle ride. Looks just like #1.
Has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds just like Wheezy Waiter on TH-cam? You are a cool dude, love listening to your reviews and proving some of the negative reviews around to being a positive experience 😊
you kicked over the toilet there @2:40 or was that the provided stove? ooh dates upon entrance to campground #2, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ pool with doggos, free head and shoulders, "Hi Ron!" private hot tub with spring water (love that so much) #3 the castle houses and shipping container homes were pretty neat looking from outside theater room was nice for a larger group I would probably choose #3 so everyone could put in and at night we could watch movies in the theater room, but otherwise definitely #2. Cheaper and dates upon entrance is definitely a win.
Hey bro! I'm a new subscriber, awesome videos. I love camping, I became addicted as a kid and couldn't shake the habit. I hope this helps others realize camping is unforgettable. It's an adventure good or bad.
I think you get a lot for your money! Would love to see u do some campground reviewing down in Borrego Springs . Yall would love that area! There is the state park campground. Then there is one of those fancy campgrounds with spaced for motor homes …then there is dispersed BLM …IF YALL HAVE NEVER BEEN, GO!
My son and I dispersed camped several times in the desert around Hesperia and Adalanto. Great area in late fall and early spring. When you look on ABNB you will see places like you visited at first, but just a few miles away you can just go out on BLM land. Of the ones you showed, my wife says that we have to visit the yurts in the date farm. That looks relaxing. Would have to leave my son home for that. That would be "adult time".
#2! But I want to know exactly where this is. When I go to the hip camp website, it says it's in Riverside lol and the map doesn't enlarge all the way. And google doesn't have the listing as "Mineral Springs Date Farm" or "Date Farm, Desert Hot Springs".
My choice as well. I can send you a link directly if you want to message me on a different platform. I think I’ll post a link to each spot on my Patreon.
@kathykeene2092 thank you. I was confused at first lol would still love to know the exact location, but seems maybe they don't want you to know until you book.
We recently tried Hip Camp and found a spot called Caribbean Mojave Escape - Joshua Tree (Yucca Valley). Their pictures didn't lie, wonderful spot but we too went straight into JTNP after setting up camp cause if you're not camping in JT, then it's just not as fun.
I ACTUALLY MEANT TO SAY “THE COVE PALISADES STATE PARK” ITS IN OREGON AND THE DESCHUTES CAMPGROUND IS WITHIN IT, ITS ALSO STILL IN THE TOWN OF CULVER.(and if you do stay there, make sure that it will be sunny and that you see the sunrise, it will be the most amazing thing that you ever see.)
How long are these accommodations for? The desert wasteland, campground number one was 11 bucks? How many nights do you get for 11 bucks? If 11 bucks gets you a week or even a month it might not be too bad but if it’s 11 bucks a night? I’d rather stay on the side of the road.
I have a feeling that I know where #1 is. It probably caters to people who need a spot near the JT music festival. Tbh, there is blm land you can camp on for free in that area, in fact, someone may be charging for a spot you could be camping on for free. #2 was really cool, I would stay there myself, but it’s a long way from any entrance into the park, even Berdoo Canyon. There is a free campground with flush toilets in a nature Preserve very near there, you just need to make a reservation and get the combination to the gate. It’s hidden away along a creek. I know exactly where #3 is, and it was fun to see what’s in there, but kind of disappointing too. Also probably illegal. Especially selling booze. But it is the desert, I doubt anyone will rat them out. Also a good choice if you are going to the music festival.
What's up dude, if you're looking to check out some yellow post spots in big bear area! I've been looking to check out some spot up there, be cool to have someone to travel with that actually enjoys the outdoors!
Obviously, camp 2 was the best deal. Camp 3 was a rip-off. Camp 1, though, could be a good option if you were a bunch of RVers having a meet-up. You could set up your own little RV village and not be bothered by other campers. At $11 a day, it could be a good deal.
The 2nd Fig Farm was by far the best... it seemed so cozy and unique. I loved the vibe.
It was my favorite for sure!
I would definitely go for #2 for sure. Seems like you definitely get your money’s worth.
Dates are not figs
I would say camp number 2 with AC and seemed like you get way more for your $ with the private jacuzzi and the vibe you show was great 🎉
Yeah absolutely. #2 was the best!

And note we stayed at the same spot there 😂

What's its called ??
The second place looked pretty relaxing! The AC sounds awesome for the area in the 3 hot seasons in Joshua Tree area.
The AC was so nice! Thanks for watching.
Into my nose or my mouth- I about spit out my coffee. 5 stars for that joke!
