One of the few times I tested how much a CD could take was when I first heard this gem on a (what else?) a Northern Soul comp. I must have hit the Repeat button fifty times that day. It was the same story for April Stevens' "Wanting You". These records are ADDICTIVE!
There may be be some Motown session players on this recording, they sometimes worked on other Detroit record labels of the time like Golden World (that's some of them on Edwin Starr's 'Agent Double OO Soul' iirc).
One of the very best ❤️🕺
Forgot about this classic tune
One of my favourite northern soul tracks
🎉
This is such a strong northern summer jam!!
An embrace of such a stompin tune, without doubt,is such in incredible experience
George Clinton went on to "One nation under a groove with Funkadelic, also the funk band Parliament.
One of the greatest musicians of our time,..KTF.
Brilliant beyond.

Love this to bits . Takes me right back 👍👍
A Northern Soul classic. George and the boys put out some righteous lyrics. Then he was "enlightened" by the Funkapus, and a legend was born
