@@steelermia So they are not all clean including Bolt, Shelly Ann, Elaine, Allyson Felix, Noah killed, Shericka Jackson, Athin Mu etc. Are you sure? Your statement is flimsy and not true
Dope testing was at its infancy at that time in the 80s. Besides that, Lance Armstrong tested negative throughout his career and was exposed for using PEDs years after his retirement in 2012.
I never believed she took drugs either but that wind-aided 100m race at '88 trials should have been called such in the records. I believe Flo Jo actually ran in the low to mid 10.60s. Her world record with the 200m might have been the same circumstance. She is unforgettable and forever beautiful either way.
Her spirit and athletic abilities are unmatched. Just unbelievable. How she was so full of GRACE. THE LORD LOVED HER. Called her home. No more running. Ran right into his arms
Her personal Best was 10.96 and in months she then ran 10.49!!! Dwl dwl... Only those who are clueless to track and field believes this record should stand. Not to mention there was an official letter from the IAAF submitted in 1995 that Flo Jo's 1988 1000m record race was illegally assisted by a wind "well in excess of 2meters" and with all of this they still kept her record on the Books????
@@davidlewis3208 She clearly used PEDs but so does Pryce and the other elite runners, especially Bolt (his teammates all popped) .With that said her form was immaculate, it looked like she was floating over the track!

"That black magic". So now Flo Jo's doping is being made into a racial thing, LOL! Pathetic. Flo Jo was the most doped athlete in history in 1988, race has nothing to do with it, and she denied other BLACK athletes their moments of glory like Ashford and Grace Jackson. Now yes the GDR had a bunch of mostly white sprinters doped systematically through the government, and was also deprived by another black doper Brisco Hooks in 84, so Flo Jo decided to take it one step further and take so many horse pills they killed her by 40. End of.

I’ve never seen a woman that was so determined to do so many things, she quit training to help her family before she became known, she then went on to do design and she accomplished everything she put her mind to, a true role model
You have to have discernment to know that Flo Jo was a pure hearted, genetically gifted and spiritual person who honored her temple with no need to do illegal drugs to boost her performances. She also had a disorder in her brain which caused her to experience epilepsy. Her legacy is not soiled by rumors.
The best to ever do it!! Very sad she suffocated from an epileptic seizure. The way she carried herself and the fastest woman title is far above most of the female sprinters today. Her records will continue to stand for decades!

Damn, her sentence flow broke when she said "never taken drugs". Plus the way she formed the sentence....."I knew I had never taken drugs". It's this type of subconscious slip, AKA a Freudian Slip, that you look for to discern if someone is lying or not. In other words, though she didn't take PEDs when she initially started running track, she's attempting to subconsciously resolve her reasons for taking PEDs in her latter years of track. Kinda like, hey I'm not a bad person. It's not like I have a history of doing bad things, so this one time is excusable.

You are loved by all African sportsmen and women, even by the entire world. Regards to your family Al Joyner and daughter singer Mary Joyner.
don't be naive .. none of these athletes are clean
@@steelermia Flo Jo was clean all the away .
HGH wasn't tested back then.
She was gracious and ladylike. I never believed she took drugs.
Me either anytime a black star die is behind drugs lies was killed but not drugs
@@blessuniquethings I’m so sick of black people being labeled as drug addicts or something. Just have to dim our light somehow and I’m sick of it
I never believed she took drugs either but that wind-aided 100m race at '88 trials should have been called such in the records. I believe Flo Jo actually ran in the low to mid 10.60s. Her world record with the 200m might have been the same circumstance. She is unforgettable and forever beautiful either way.
@Hank Hill She's fast but she won't break that record.
@Hank Hill LOL ! It wasn't any drugs. She had a head wind to her back when she ran that race...thus came 10:49. It won't be broken.
She was gorgeous!!! 😍
@@davidlewis3208 ok bye hater
@@davidlewis3208 She clearly used PEDs but so does Pryce and the other elite runners, especially Bolt (his teammates all popped) .With that said her form was immaculate, it looked like she was floating over the track!
Drug cheat batty boy
One if the most beautiful and talented women ever
Flo jo was fine as hell. Damn 👀
She was but Evelyn Ashford still G.O.A.T
@John O'neil can't prove it. Shut up
@John O'neil no it isn't. You can't prove it. So shut up
@John O'neil know the facts before you spread the rumours. They're rumours. And that's the end of that one
@John O'neil Passed all 11 drug tests she took in 88. Try again
A woman of Faith! They tried to throw dirt on her name and discredit her but failed to realize that this woman was blessed and gifted! That black magic is undeniable and they hated it!
End of.
@@richardross4677 "most doped athlete in history" lmao as if other athletes didn't fail the same drug tests she passed. Some ppl are ridiculousl, smh
@@proverbalizer In the 80s only an idiot (eg Ben Johnson) failed a drug test. Anyone who isn't a total idiot knows that. You do realize EAST GERMANY didn't fail a single drug test from 72-88 right. Nuff said. Oh please do come back though with "but all the East German females in various sports were clean." I could use a good laugh.
@@richardross4677 how about you get your facts right? At least 10 olympic athletes were stripped of their olympic medals in 1998 and 12 in 1984
@@richardross4677 if you think only Ben Johnson got caught you're the joke
I love this interviewer especially back then this is appreciated, she remained neutral but has emotional intelligence. Not interrogating her but she is able to bring up scandals or negative things and making her feel comfortable.
She is so beautiful ❤
She was so stunning ✨
She’s unbelievably easy on the eyes❤️
True class act!!! RIP TO A TRUE QUEEN 👑 There will never be another!!
Not only is she insanely fast w/ perfect technique
I've never seen anyone run with such joy but her.
R.I.P. Gorgeous Queen to best the ever do it.❤🎉😍♥️🎉❤
She's so beautiful and smart.. What a loss she died so young. She could have been a motivational speaker..
There Has Never Been Anyone Like Her as An Female Athlete ..Intelligent, Beautiful, Ahead Of Her Time as A Person..
I only just discovered her today, so she is a fresh new champion to me. She is awesome in every way including her competitiveness on the track inspired me. Her hair is incredible.
Me too. I just discovered her today. She's so so gracious
Flo Jo was a great champion! Beautiful and gracious. Sad loss
Still loving you in 2019 ❤
Still loving her in 2021. She will live on track forever.
She was so beautiful inside and outside!
Such a beautiful smile. Elegant, natural beauty.
She was beauty, grace, and strength personified.
What a sweetheart and superstar?!🕊
She’s the real wonder-woman.🍃
she was AMAZING ,INCREDIBLE BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING ...
Flo Jo legacy is still within our presence with the new generation of ladies keeping her “Flo Jo” memory beautiful and alive. Missing you, Much Love ❤️
She speaks so eloquently and royally. No yadda yadda snatch mama's wig kinda language. Also, no finger waggings, no 2 snaps yall, and no shades of any kind. Its 2021, I think gargling ebonics and afro-centric mannerisms are missing the elegance of speaking. Flo-Jo was masterful in presenting humility, elegance and sophistication with this interview. I live !!! ❤️❤️❤️
She's a pure soul omg im happy I took the time to educate myself about this powerful woman it would be a honor us jamaican 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 to accept n won 🏆♥
such a great interview. she's a GOAT and I don't believe for one second that she took drugs.
rest in peace, the queen of sprint
What a beauty!
Goodness she was so beautiful!! I love how Beyoncé paid homage to Flo Jo for halloween. RIP. Gorgeous 💜
She was so beautiful and talented she make me proud to be a black woman I remember my mother buying me the Flo-Jo Doll God Rest her Soul
I’ve never seen a woman that was so determined to do so many things, she quit training to help her family before she became known, she then went on to do design and she accomplished everything she put her mind to, a true role model
I have seen some great ones but you are still the best to date, Flo-Jo. From the beautiful, tranquil Islands of The Bahamas 🌴🏖️🌅🇧🇸
Beautiful woman she was. You are forever miss ma'am
You have to have discernment to know that Flo Jo was a pure hearted, genetically gifted and spiritual person who honored her temple with no need to do illegal drugs to boost her performances. She also had a disorder in her brain which caused her to experience epilepsy. Her legacy is not soiled by rumors.
Well stated! 💯
U a dam fool.
Elegance personified. On and off track. One of the greatest athletes of all time ❤️❤️
The best to ever do it!! Very sad she suffocated from an epileptic seizure. The way she carried herself and the fastest woman title is far above most of the female sprinters today. Her records will continue to stand for decades!
Fact!! Often imitated but never duplicated. 🙏
She was a game changer. A trendsetter. People are still envious of her times so much so that they have to spread rumors about her. Her passing was suspect.
Cosmo Energy she died due to an enlarged heart.

I miss you so much.
forever inside our hearts....
Rest in peace, fabulous legend
My god she's so fine!
I think of you often and terribly miss you. FloJo forever ❤️❤️❤️
In 1987 she was 7th among American sprinters. In one year she improved 0.47 seconds in the 100 m and became Olympic champion. The sudden musculature, thickened jawline, deepened voice, facial hair, acne. Yep, all natural results of just training and nothing else. Her 100 m world record? See Track and Field News's comment on it in its list of world records. Did the wind gauge fail? Ya think?
What deepened voice? What facial hair? What you're saying is stupid.
She was a beautiful woman and I'm sorry for her premature death, but she was on steroids, her running times are fake, unnatural.
She is awesome 🙂
I believe her; she never used or needed drugs she was blessed with speed, style and grace..fuckn haters.
Blyen Staliano if u think she was not doping u must be doping her fomer teammate told she was using it all of a sudden when they go to random testing she retire
just your feelings overflowing here - there's no hating in telling you she retired just when she could have started making lots of endorsement and prize money at 28 just when out of season random drug testing was announced by IAAF and all Olympic sporting associations.
of course, calling people "haters' doesn't mean you are correct. It simply means you don't like other opinions
find it funny that all these sprinters in there mid 20s need braces?
Damn, her sentence flow broke when she said "never taken drugs". Plus the way she formed the sentence....."I knew I had never taken drugs". It's this type of subconscious slip, AKA a Freudian Slip, that you look for to discern if someone is lying or not.
In other words, though she didn't take PEDs when she initially started running track, she's attempting to subconsciously resolve her reasons for taking PEDs in her latter years of track.
Kinda like, hey I'm not a bad person. It's not like I have a history of doing bad things, so this one time is excusable.
Breathtakingly beautiful lady. Her loss is so to me. R.i.p my beautiful friend
The best greatest athlete!!!!

Sha'carri Richardson, I hope you watch this and as many Florence Griffith Joyner interviews as you possibly can following that loss to Thompson Herah and Frazier Price (and the rest of the field).
