Knights' kingdoms 2 was basically my childhood. I remember being crazy about Danju lol. Sets at 1:29 and 1:50 were my first in this line. I still have them (and others).
Personally I see knights kingdom two as the end of classic castle, and the crown knights were the beginning of a new age of Lego castle, finally culminating in those blue lion knights not long ago, personally if Lego bring back castle it should be with the classic factions (falcons, black knights etc) but with a modern asthetic, that's just my opinion tho 👍
You kinda sound like a hater of Knights' Kingdom tbh. And besides, what's so special about Classic Castle? I've pretty much seen better 90's media in Japan than what the West has lol.
It just occured to me, all those weird little sets in 2000 means that you could collect quite a lot of minifigures after a while, to build an actual Lego-army. You didn't really get that with the 2004-Knights Kingdom, because all the sets had the same characters. So you just ended up with several clones of the same knights
I never had any of the sets sadly so I missed out, but I might try to get some along with Exo-Force too lol. Probably my favorite sets would be the big action figures because the weapons look awesome imo :)
I remember that last castle. It was so random and didn't seem to fit into the story at all (I had the little books so I knew all the lore) I wonder why they ended it like that.
The soundtrack in the background is from the Knights Kingdom videogame for the Gameboy Advanced. Funny you asked this cause I just thought to myself how obscure this music must be being from a 15 year old gameboy game I bought almost as long ago :D
I counted Knight's Kingdom separately because It's very different from traditional Castle, because they tried integrating a story with both of them. Also, I actually love this theme. It's one of my favorites.

Great Video! I remember collecting all 4 big figures. Loved how they where good at different things. Speed, agility, streangth, smarts? Big nostalgia

I always loved how the Scorpions looked. They look so badass with their black and dark red colours.
20th Anniversary of Lego Knights' Kingdom (2000-2020)

Nostalgia
Glad I was able to bring some nostalgia back to you. Do you have (or used to have) any of those sets?
I had them all when I was 10 😍
I remembered when I got 2004 set back then. I really dissapointed that the Knight shield is made of paper.

One of the worst lego theme with gallidor (about the horrible big figs)
Btw why don't you count the first ones as Lego castle ?
