Yeah kinda good nostalgia packed with soo much no.. why you need these these will be worth nothing in a few years yeah sure :D how the world changes it costs literally a small fortune to find some of the 10 dollar ones :D But i have surprisingly good amount of these even the whole underwater attack set :D

There was something magical about these mask wearing/launching robotic toys. The set that amped up the original full figured ones was my favorite. When they came with foot attachments. I had the ice one skating around all the time. And then that one with the gold mask felt legendary to me as a kid.
My first one was 3:30. My aunt visiting me from California knew my parents never had time to go buy me anything for Christmas so she took me to a place in the mall called KB toys and got me one. Played with it everyday in my 8 year old imaginary world

I never got into Bionicle until 2009 when I found the Legend Reborn movie at the store. Even then I never got any of the sets. Shortly after that Hero Factory came along and I got to say it was not as bad as so many people think it was. I enjoyed Hero Factory just as much as Bionicle. I have every single Hero Factory set (Yes, every single one) and now I am trying to collect all of the Bionicle sets starting with the series that brought me into Bionicle.
Hero factory isn't bad, but people like me grew up with Bionicle and knowing how important it was to us as well as the fact that it basically saved Lego from collapsing it was very hard to see it go and then immediately be replaced by something that was very similar but literally just called "hero factory", it felt very corporate and kind of a slap in the face for longtime fans of Bionicle. On it's own it was probably fine, but in context it was a bad move to a lot of people.
Yeah Rocka was a cool as bionicle holy shit always dreamed of him one day getting in my hands,
never happend, but what’s wrong bout dreaming. Still proud that i had so many Bioncles and generally so many Robots across the Lego verse from mask of light, glatorian to piraka and hero factory so cool i miss those days. One of my coolest bionicle till this day and will ever be was Tuma, he looks so cool.

Man I had majority of the 2009 collection and I have no idea where they ended up. I think I passed them down to my younger cousins but damn I wish we held onto them for nostalgia sake. I haven’t seen these since I had them as a kid and it brings me back to the simpler times when I was so innocent and creative playing with these things for hours with the deepest lore imaginable. Good times
Why do we have to grow up……you literally could play with these things as a child and have no care of the future that will come and make you miserable….those were simple times :(

I just sold the Axalara T9 for €200 yesterday. Tough to see it go, but at one point (age 26 now) you have to let go :(

Started in 2003 with the rahkshi. Onewa, nuju, and my favorite of all nokama in 2005. Still have all of them in a box somewhere. Kids dont have imagination anymore

Who else mixed these with their legos and built some crazy stuff? I built a mech suit for a lego guy with a fighter pilots helmet using the mask cover on the bionicle at 3:01 as the cockpit door. Probably around 2009 when i first saw avatar. I remember me and my friends would buy different bionicle sets so we didnt match

I love Bionicles so much, is it me or did it feel like they evolved too quickly with the designs at the end? I guess i love the classics too much

While yes I was more hero factory I actually enjoy the og now looking at them now I would only really have most of these sets for moc building as they had so many unique amazing pieces. But I definitely prefer the ccbs building system. As for Bionicle 2008 is definitely the earliest of the series I can say I genuinely love
It's fascinating that I bet you guys coming from different part of the world. But us early 2000 kids have this cool toy growing up, yes I would sat Bionicle and Hero factory are my favourite toy when I was a kid. There also a time I would mix different Bionicle together and create a new character by myself and name it
My hometown is Shanghai, It is quite expensive for my parents to buy those lego toys. But I had a credit system at my house, and I redeem most of my credits for those bionic toys.
My favourites are; Vorox, Kiina and Baranus V7 from the year of 2009, Toa Jaller from the Mahri sets, Vamprah from the Phantoka sets,
Man after The Glatorian Legends Bionicle has never been the same. The new ones are not as good as the old Lego toys
they made more than 40 pieces of pohatu nuva ... they had atleast 30 in the store where my parents got me one ....

I once asked my mum why did she spend so much money on those figures. She replied saying that the moment I saw these Bionicles my eyes lit up and seeing this it was the best feeling for my her. She knew that she made my day. I'm forever grateful to my parents for the childhood they gave me. I gave all my bionicles to a kid in my family a few years back, but I still have Gresh (my first) posing in my room. (Ok technically just his mask and weapons with a new body I made for him after all the other joints broke from excessive play). I couldn’t help but notice there were a couple missing from this list, like the red and yellow spikey one for example. The ones I’m thinking of were definitely pre hero factory. If anyone knows of any others not in the video please let me know!
It was such a lovely list that had so few eras of lacking quality until they replaced toa with uniter, guardian, and master.

As someone who missed this boat (I loved the 2001 to 2004 ish bionicles and then just stopped following it) the 2015 ones look really awesome to me. I feel lego didn't put as much effort into marketing this reboot as I had never even heard of it until this past week. What a shame. Thank goodness for second hand markets lol

I was 10 when Bionicles first came out. I think I lost interest near 2003/4 but looking at what came out later; Vezon & Fenrakk set looks kinda sick.

I remember having my father buy it when I went to Guam. I was able to find it for the first time in 15 years.
Probably my favorite Bionicle waves are Piraka,Inika,Barraki,Mahri,Phantoka,Mistika,Glatorian, and Stars since they were all my first introductions to Bionicle.
I may have been born in 2002 but that doesn't mean I'd have to be fond of the first era Bionicle came out since I wasn't really that much of a Technic person back then lmao.
Besides, the only thing I liked about the Mata-Metru era was some of their parts like the weapons and masks and the Miramax movie trilogy, nothing more.

I still remember my introduction to bionicle
I was at my friend and godbrother’s 5th birthday party. Shortly after walking in, I look to an empty table and something’s on it. I walk over and it’s guurahk. Never seen a bionicle before, never heard of it, but that was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. I stared at it, trying to figure out how it was built. How it worked.
My parents must have seen this because I certainly didn’t talk to anyone while staring at this new toy, because my birthday was only a month away, and when the day came, my mother excitedly ran to me with a package that she wanted me to open first, and there it was,my first bionicle, Inika Matoro.
I’m an uncle now, and what I wouldn’t give to be able to introduce my nephew to bionicle one day.

dude this is driving me crazy - back when bionicle 3 web of shadows was coming out, Miguzi on Cartoon Network had a contest and one of the prizes was a “unique life sized lego vizorak” it was green and massive. You have the means of tracking this down right? This is something I’ve never seen anyone talk about.

What I would've given to have been able to work back then. I got the majority of them, thank my parents, however the Nuva were my first set.
Even then I thought the Mata were way cooler. The Nuva, while cool, weren't nearly as interesting. Less colorful, especially with the Bohrok Kal.
Thankfully I was able to bum them off a neighbor when he moved out for college but he lost Pohatu's Mata mask AND THAT'S MY FAVORITE ONE
I know that i have an Box full with Bionicles from my childhood in my Basement. I’m 27 now. Tomorrow i’ll go down there and take a look. Wish me Luck, i’ll update you what i found !
Update : So far i found : Makuta, Brutaka, those 2 Bounty Hunters, Krekka and the green one, Roodaka and Sidorak, the white Toa with the golden mask, and a green one with a big golden Shield and gold Armor and Mask and the yellow Dinosaur thing with extendable Head when you press it. As well as all those Vampire and Deepsea Villians and Vezon and Venrak
I need all of them back when I was a kid I had no money to get them.
Now I grow up and can make money by myself but they canceled bionicle series :( how sad...
Second hand markets are actually decently populated. Just be patient on them, don't fomo/over pay and keep in mind they are put of print so roughly double retail is usually a pretty good price.
I had almost every single set during the underwater theme (2007) before my parents told me I had to slow down 😂. I bought a few here and there in the following years until I had amassed about 30 sets total. Unfortunately I entered the phase where I thought “LEGO’s are lame” around age 13-14 and gave them all away. I truly regret that now but the memories of this amazing toy remain ❤️
