Jimmy’s playing has been fundamental in my growth as a drummer, over the past 30yrs. This interview shines a light on so many of Jimmy’s influences during his formative years and up to current times. I’ll be diving into all those in due course. Your interview has been inspiring and an invaluable resource into the mind of this incredible musician. Thank you so much, John.

Joey Kramer was fantastic at 1/8 notes with his foot on the Hihats.

    Hi John 👋
Just wanted to thank you for your channel & bringing us these awesome interviews & insights from these legendary musical icons.
And of course, thank you to Jimmy Chamberlin for such a great interview 🙏
I grew up as a teenager in the 90's listening to Smashing Pumpkins, attempting to learn their songs from Jimmy's blistering snare rolls to the fluidity around the kit, expressing powerful dynamics, emotion, mood & feel he put into every part, song & performance 🥁 ❤
Jimmy's passion for drumming is evident,
his yearning to continue learning & growing to improve his craft,
but also remain humble & grounded despite his success & enormous talent is one of the reasons he remains such a pivotal leader & member of the drumming community.
    Thank you 🙏
(I don't blame him hitting you up for a Zildjian endorsement as that was every drummer's dream, young & old 😅)

I am with Billy Martin's school of thought on a click. I can do without it. Like you said John, it's organic. I think to let the human element in music be celebrated.

Jimmy is the single greatest rock drummer of all time. The boomer Bonham days have come and gone.

Awesome interview! Loved the clear respect you have for each other's abilities and knowledge. Jimmy is one of my drumming influences and it's so cool to see that's he's such a relaxed, funny guy! Not a bad decorator either!
