I was lucky enough to practice next to Gary Player in the 70’s when l was competing and he spent 10 minutes with me just talking about how to play golf as a professional. Truly inspiring and helped me a lot understand what was required to play at a decent level. Hope your practice goes well and structure it for the course. You look to be swinging well.

Sunday morning show's are how you're supposed to start Sunday's. Glad you're enjoying it again, i was concerned when i thought you'd fallen out of love with the channel. Thanks for the update. Ireland is definitely now on my bucket list after your series. I just returned from Fife where we played some fab course avoiding those frequented by overseas visitors and what great finds we had and warm welcome. One of the gems was Burntisland. Maybe do a session of local gems rather than just focusing on the best rated/best know courses. Part of me refuses to pay over £100 per round. Loved the open qualifier vlog, sorry Paul had a tough day but great effort in tough conditions.
Caddying myself for a PGA Pro for the past 8 years it is simply 100% the relationship. Knowing how to communicate with eachother, when to say something and when not too…. Nothing else matters just a good bond.

I remember a video where you tested some of the SC range and the Newport 2.5 was the one that worked best for you, seems to recall you said that you were sticking with regular newport 2 for looks. Interesting that you're now trying the same slant neck as the 2.5 in the phantom 5.5. Could be a good thing !

I get that certain caddies are perceived to add to a players game but it’s the player that hits the shots and has the final decision on what club to play. From all accounts Rory will just do what he wants and isn’t great at taking advice which came from his old manager.

Coincidence that you mention your chipping technique because I picked up on that watching the Irish vlogs last few days. Noted the wrist movement as a good way of getting the club through.
What happened to your Jonathan fella who was doing the editing? And impressed as ever with your work rate. Walking, talking, setting up cameras on a ‘live’ golf course, not getting in folks’ way and all while playing ok. It’s mighty impressive.

Can’t get close to Adam Scot and the Postman, but Rhys Enoch, Phil Price and Jack Davidson were in bays near me at the Parc. They were all under the tutelage of Neil Matthew’s.
Longer strokes with that putter, looking a bit stabby. I had this before, completely fixed my putting longer smoother strokes for different lengths. Love ya Dan 😂

Ireland series was brilliant. You could spend all year over there, and still have lots to film.
The vlogs that you & Bernie put out from the qualifier were great & hope you can pick up the missing 1200 subscribers to get you to 50k & thereby open up more opportunities.

Let’s hope the open videos restarts the views - it would be good if you could get to the point where regular vlogs are worth it again. I suppose if more things like the Ireland trips crop up, that helps - at least they’ll be covering some/all of the expenses.

Rory has won a few big events with Harry on the bag but all he cares about is winning majors and he hasn’t done that for ten years. When it really matters ie. the back nine of a major, is Harry the right person to see him through and I think the answer is no. Th reason Rory has won all of the other events is probably partly to do with Harry making him feel comfortable but it won’t get him the majors he craves. That said, I think if Rory does manage to get over the line in one with Harry, they will win a lot more because it’s more about Rory’s mindset than Harry.

Entering a pga competition is brave. After a miniscule amount of competitions over the last few years you could be setting yourself up for a fall. I suppose it boils down to, you are entering for a bit of fun or you are entering for something more serious. Comparison is not for me to say but entering a comp going up against pros that play comps to make a living, seems to me a bit iffy for you. Enjoyed the Sunday morning show, made a change from the norm.
