I’m not sure where I heard it, but Pádraigs advice at the 42 minute mark was the best golf advice I ever got. The amount of fun I’ve had playing golf absolutely skyrocketed when I stopped being disappointed at my level of play.
I'm 9 minutes in and had to pause to comment. I love everything about this video. They both walked. They both carried. Padraig made him hole out EVERYTHING. Proper golf lads. Thank you. THIS is content. Not a bunch of hyped frat boys yelling and running all over the place.

I chuckled at the “get a better attitude” scolding by Padraig. Peter’s constant whining and histrionics is in glaring contrast to one of the great Gentleman and Lover of the Game. Great stuff. PS that line about “do you think you are good enough to have a bad attitude? “…..classic piece of advice that ALL of us could incorporate more. Thank you!

@@CHuzz7777 they have the Wilson dynapower forged which is Wilson's version of the P790, I have the older version, the D9 forged and they are really nice irons.
He's a class act. Total legend.
@@ShaunY1988 Yeah, I’ve no doubt they’re great irons but if they looked like Wilson’s Staff Model blades they’d sell ten times as many. TaylorMade figured this out seven years ago with the P790 and have been laughing all the way to the bank since.

This was a rare treat indeed. Paddy is not only a great champion of the game, he is a great gentleman and ambassador as well. At 63 years old with a half-century of golf under my belt, I can honestly say that I learned some things watching this episode. I would suggest a rematch between Padraig and "the new" Peter! 🫡❤👍

Not 6 minutes in and I'm smiling from ear to ear. Padraig is one of my all-time favorite golfers and I love watching him play and laugh.
So glad Paddy got featured on the channel. Paddy’s YT channel is criminally underrated. So many good tips and he has such a down-to-earth style of teaching.
Pádraig is an absolute legend. Crazy to think that the feeling you get playing with the likes of Paddy and Monty is the feeling that you will be able to provide to a whole generation of golfers following TH-cam.
Listening to grant and the bryan bros talk about how much they love playing with Peter finch because. He’s just the best guy to spend time w essentially was fantastic. Loved hearing that. Absolutely killing it Pete n the boys! So sick to see Paddy on here! Cologuard!! Amazing!!
Well Pete, this is definitely my favourite video on TH-cam. Padraig is an absolute star and such a funny and down to earth guy. Hope there’s a rematch at some point!!
I don't often comment, but Padraigs talk on attitude was 100% right. I beat myself up for years for not hitting this or that, but now I play to enjoy and remember where I am with my mates playing the game I love .
I realized just a couple days ago that I beat myself up on the course because my days of junior golf in the 60's were nothing but competition where every shot counted. I quit for 25 years but when I started again even though not in competition I still had that attitude. Now after a 4 month lay off I just began my 8 month local membership & set higher scores as acceptable & not worrying about perfect play & have enjoyed the last 2 days with the 1st round doing well & yesterday a round where I lipped out just about every putt & laughed it off. Grinding competition is interesting in that some players like Paddy don't let the bad shots get to them but folks like Tiger expect every shot to be what they were imagining before they hit it & burn if they don't pull it off.
Be your own best friend, like Padraig sad🤩🫶
I don’t watch TH-cam golf when players are getting rained on, and, even with channels I really like, I tend to fast forward between shots. I watched every second of this video. This one is an all-time classic. Great work.

Absolutely incredible advice from Mr. Harrington. Amateur golfers such as myself think we are that great of golfers to beat ourselves up over bad shots. The game is hard, even for pros. Biggest take away, look for the good in every shot. Certainly will get me in a better mindset when I play my next round tomorrow. Thank you for the advice.

What a wonderful human being - I mean, both of you obviously, but we all know about you, for some of us this is our first time seeing Pádraig over a long period of time, you know? And the fact that he's scaled the heights of the golf world, the sporting world, been one of the very best in the world, but he's managed to keep himself completely grounded, is just awesome. You get the feeling he'd have time for anyone, whatever the situation. Thanks to both of you for sharing this experience with all of us.
I'm one of few people who never really cheered on Tiger, I absolutely recognise he's an astonishing golfer and has wowed me on so many occasions, but I always support the Brits and Europeans and Padraig is one of my absolute favourite golfers through the years. I love his Irish wit and what a gent he is, but I found his insights on the mental aspects and attitude is so spot on. Great video absolutely loved it.

A fabulous course just up the road from me. Owned by the Great Pat Ruddy and his family. A warm welcome always upon arrival. Seen Padraig win 2 Irish PGA tournaments on the course walking the fairways with him. The European club is extremely tough but fair and as Padraig said avoid the bunkers 😂. Great video with my Hero Padraig.

I always love your content so much when in America and wish you at least spent your winters here. Then I realize just how special almost every course you play is while you are back home so I guess it’s a push. The courses over there always seem natural the courses made around the land. Here in America much of our courses seem manufactured and almost go against the land it was given.

For many years, I struggled with an attitude on the golf course very similar to what Peter has admitted. I would get angry inside but not really show it, and it always affected my game negatively. Padraig really hits the nail on the head when he schooled Peter at the 43 minute mark. I no longer get angry or frustrated on the golf course. One of the top 10 golf rules is that if you set up and play the best shot you can and it doesn’t work then there’s nothing you can do about it. Just move onto the next one. My game is so much more enjoyable now that I’ve got rid of those demons, and I’m also playing some of the best golf I’ve ever played in the last 40 years. When Padraig Talk about mental strength on the course, man he is so right. Great video Peter very enjoyable and you need to do more like this😄

Padraig Harrington is one of the few tour pros who can explain the golf swing very well, especially for beginners and low handicappers. As a former golf instructor, I found his tips on his own YT channel to be very helpful and would recommend anyone struggling with their swing to check out his channel. Awesome match, and genuine fun to watch!

The stuff he said about attitude was spot on. I changed mine radically a few months back and have knocked 4 shots off my handicap but found some of the negativity creeping back the past three or four rounds amid one of those mini slumps so listening to Padraig berate Pete there was good timing and on point for me too.
“If your best friend talked to you the way that you talked yo yourself he probably would no longer be your friend” was a great rule of thumb. You have to be kind to yourself on the course. Golf is bloody hard!
Easily the best and most relatable golf channel. Love to see some more content with Padraig too, Peter. Top bloke and some super insightful tips along the way. Doesn’t get much better than this.
