    Hi I loved your video. It was so helpful. The only thing I would say is I struggled to hear everything you said because of the music in the background. Would it be possible to let me know what brushes you used and thinners etc. Many thanks

    I'm getting ready to paint my daughter's rescued black pomerania. I was worried about getting the fur to look real. You have helped me tremendously! Thank you!

    Thanks, I have never painted before (in a serious sense) and my daughters have most of the acrylic paint etc so I might give painting our neighborhood cat (obviously not painting the actual cat🤭) a go. Thanks again for the advice. x

    What medium do you use with your paint? (Besides the Liquin for glazing, or do you just use that for everything) Thank you, this tutorial helped me a lot!

      Glad it helped you!!
      I mostly use Liquin as my medium, with the addition of odorless paint thinner. though now and then I use Linseed oil.

    Hey Danielle, We recently started making concrete statuary/yard art and have a lot of furry lil critters to paint. Our dilemma is we cannot find any video's/tutorials of how to paint the fur on these animal statues. We are currently working on a German Shepherd dog statue and the person that is getting the statue wants it to be all black and we've tried painting it so many times and can't quite figure out how to paint it and have it look as realistic as possible. Do you have any suggestions or ideas that might be of help to us? Thanks and I look forward to your response=)

      I don’t have too much specific advice for you since I don’t have experience with it, but I’d highly recommend searching TH-cam for tutorials on how to paint fur on miniatures! There is a pretty big industry around it and lots have fur, so I’m sure you can find some great info. In theory if it applies to minis, the same technique should apply to larger statues too. Good luck! 😊

    This is a great technique to paint fur, you said you painted on watercolor paper. Did you prepare it with gesso first?

    Thank you for sharing/ making this tutorial. Can you tell me the adjustments for painting this fur with acrylics? Many thanks and greeting fron the Netherlands.

      So one of my favorite tricks for working with acrylics is to get yourself a small spray bottle that has a very fine spray. By lightly spraying water on fresh wet paint, you can keep it wet and workable for longer, which will allow you to blend the paint much like I do in this tutorial. For the glazing, you’ll need a glazing medium intended to be used with acrylics (water also works in a pinch, but is less stable than the medium). Otherwise it’s very similar! Hope that helps 😊

    Hi Danielle, do let the layers dry inbetween each other?

    • @DanielleTrudeauStudios
      @DanielleTrudeauStudios  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! You'll definitely need to let the layers dry between, or you will end up with a muddy painting :)
