Oh this is going to be one of my favorite lessons, one that I play over and over again and try to perfect. I sure hope that someday I reach a point that I can paint pictures of my cat Luna, and my past pets.

Kele1264 Me too. I am actually in the process of painting one of my cats (haven’t started the fur yet, just trying to get the shape right, lol). I’m not a great painter but I’m going to try.
@@jeaninehinckel77 I suspect that at least my first many tries will wind up looking like something between Picasso and Jackson Pollock. At one time, I did paint a pretty convincing rabbit. So I still have hope

This is helpful. I’m wanting to paint a portrait of my beloved Snoopy, who passed away a little over a year ago. I want to paint his portrait on his grave marker. He look like a black-and-white basset hound. I started the painting a year ago, but I have stopped, because it’s overwhelming trying to figure out the shadows in the white of his fur.
