So much action noise! And it's a huge organ for mechanical action. Should really have been electro-pneumatic, really...

Mechanical action is wonderful for smallish organs, but a big 4-manual symphonic organ with mechanical action is just masochism...
***** Perhaps. I have a digital piano in my home. Light action but not the real thing. If you play the Original period instrument you get the feel of how it was and how it is was ment to be. But you are Anglo american so you do not understand. Perhaps you should listen to Ton Koopman. BWV 541

I'm British. A late symphonic French-style organ would usually have cone-valve or membrane chests and tubular pneumatic action. Louis Vierne, writing to Ernest Skinner, said that the Skinner he'd played in NYC was like a Rolls-Royce in comparison to the finely-crafted horse-drawn carriage of Notre Dame...

Come and visit me in Dordrecht and then you will be convinced that (what you call A late symphonic French-style organ) is just Bullshit.
