    I have been binge watching your videos today. So glad to find your channel. In the future, could you do a video for Invega Sustanna? Every three weeks I get a dose. Also I supplement the pill form peripalidone sp? When it's past the 3 week and I can't make it to the doctor. I would appreciate it if you consider talking about injections.

    Thanks for comparing. Im looking forward to the lab video, just requested my PAC do b12 and vitamins(my thyroid and glucose are normal). I like learning about meds to be empowered but often feel like its just like throwing darts bc i dont have a clear primary target. What do you do for more complex cases where theres a lot of depression and anxiety but also mild schizotypy and autism. I often feel like one med helps depression makes anxiety worse or vice versa.

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're on the right track with looking for root causes. Make sure b12 is above 500. When they check thyroid you have to check TSH, free t3 and free t4 as well as thyroid antibodies, TPO and thyroglobulins. I explain this in the labs video. Also, look for inflammatory markers. Get on an anti inflammatory diet, start getting out in nature, walking or exercising. External vagus nerve stimulation may also help. You should also look for other nutrient deficiencies since having Autism as well as food allergies. I wish you all the best 🙏

    I have bipolar depression and My nurse practitioner recently put me on Trileptal/Oxcarbazepine and was curious do you have any videos on it and if you don’t can you make one. It cleared up my brain fog but these constant stomach pains are killing me! I was on Lamotrigine for years but my anger and crying spells were out of control.

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trileptal can be used for Bipolar. With stomach pains, try taking it with food to see if that helps. Oftentimes, increased side effects are seen with higher doses as well. I don't have a video on this medication since I don't use it often, but I will consider it. Thank you.

    I’ve been taking this med for 7-8 months now I started with 0.5mg and went up to 1mg dose later on. It helped by improving my mood but i have some side effects. Exzessive salvation was a huge one, i’ve been spiting too much since I started the med especially after increasing my dosage. I’ve also gained weight, sind i’m not active anymore another side effect i assume. Im also fasting sometimes hoping that helps I don’t know how that relates to the med and Microbiome health. is it ok to fast while taking this med? does it impact microbiome health? how can i improve it?.I’m thinking of lowering my dose by .25 increments to help with the side effects. what do you suggest? what do you think I should do? please reply at your earliest convenience.

    She’s also taking duloxetene , lamotrigene. Is there any safe medications that could replace risperidone with fewer side effects and helps her with her sleep?

      If you have a true Bipolar diagnosis, then you will need to be on medication for life. However, there are things you can do to support your mood to help you stay on the least amount of medications possible. Such as exercise, getting enough Omega-3's, eating clean whole food, and sticking too anit-inflammatory diet.

      Catatonia is a medical emergency and should be treated by experienced psychiatrists. Typically an IV infusion of medication is required.

    Have you ever had patients respond to antidepressants but build up a tolerance after awhile?? For instance if i take a new cant mainly a ssri or snri i will feel great the next day after the first dose. But the next day the benefit will disappear. Then it gets upped and i feel better for a day. Then my depression comes right back. Then i am at the max dose. I know if medications will work within a day or 2. Their is no wait 4-6 weeks. If i miss a dose i get brainzaps. If a dont take it exactly at the same time each day and say i take it 6 hours later ill get zaps. Which tells me my body is metabolizing drugs insanely fast. Have you seen this before? Thanks in advance.

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, this can be caused by several factors. The two most common being MTHFR gene variant or a CYP enzyme- rapid metabloizer snip. Both can be assessed with a genetic test like genomind. Some insurances may cover this so look into that. Genesight is another test, but I prefer genomind because you get more genes tested beyond medication pathways.

      @@LevelheadedMind thanks. I know I am sensitive to glutamate or anything that activates nmda receptors ( msg, aspartame ). If I drink any kind of protein shake I get a bad migraine. If I drink aspartame (aspartic acid) I get a migraine. If I drink soup or anything with msg I get a migraine. If I eat to much meat at one time I get a headache. Obviously all of those have high amounts of glutamic acid. I cant take glutamine for muscle building because I'll get a migraine. There's actually a supplement that has D-aspartic acid to increase testosterone for weight lifting. It gave me bad migraines. So anything that has to do with activating nmda receptors I have issues with. In my opinion I no doubt have a imbalance of excitatory neurotransmitters and inhibitory neurotransmitters receptors. Obviously I have way too much excitatory neurotransmitters (glutamate), nmda. I'm gonna tell my psychiatrist to try auvelity because it blocks glutamate (nmda receptors) or excitatory neurotransmitters. As it is I'm taking supplements to help reduce glutamate along with reducing glutamate consumption and eliminating any free forms of glutamate like msg, aspartame. Have you seen this or heard of Similar cases?? Thanks.

    Ma'am I started vortixetine 10 mg last year in December( later increased to 20 mg in march) till October this year and then back to 15 to 10 mg for my depressive and cognition purpose. Now i stopped it before a week and realised that my cognitive indecisiveness has improved. Shall those cognitive domains like processing speed etc will again be same if I won't take vortixetine.I mean does vortixetine has permenant positive effects on cognition or is it only till you take medicine.

      It is hard to say, however, some studies show the effect of serotonin on BDNF which can help your brain to learn and make new neural connections. It is possible that with this action, you have improved your brain function. To continue to nourish this, do things that will improve your neuroplasticity, which I discuss in this video here: th-cam.com/video/5_lXHbvIVVE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h1tp2gxY75TdFDa3

      @@Polisb-gt3hk Thanks for the reply. I have not been taken them for a little while now. I have got 1mg dosage, that our local GP gave to me, well I have been "diagnosed" as Autism, but I don't believe I have been properly diagnosed as this condition. Autism aggression???? That must be hard. Is this working for your son, or is the medication made things worse for your son????
      You should do some research as well as I have with the long term use of psychiatric drugs. There is actually NO proof that these types of meds are doing any good for any person in the long term run.
      My older brother has been on 4mg and the 2mg (backups) of Olanzipine/Zyprexa, at home, and I have seen a real evil side to this drug, literally.
      If Risperidone is working for your son, continue for him to use this, but if this isn't, go back to the GP or local doctor and say what YOU as the parent have experienced with the drug and its dosage.
      TH-cam search Peter Breggin, Joanna Moncrieff and Robert Whitaker ( on separate TH-cam search of course), they are major experts of this field of psychiatric drugs, and their alarming results will shock any person about what the drugs are doing to people and what DAMAGE can be done to anyone's BRAIN in the long term run.
      Hope this helps.
