But when he switched the view to the actual colony, and I realized it's a permanent thing, and the game looks like that the whole time, I was like "oh my god, no, that's disgusting".
I could be wrong but I think the idea behind the ascetic and lack of manual control of colonists is that the powers that be have a satellite feed that they use to monitor your progress and are only able to advise you on what needs to be done. Also, it's likely that you are not the first group of colonists sent to your planet which would explain the chickens and stuff.
XP booster on a rocket - clever wording! As for camera mode, they throw my least favorite options like chromatic aberration, lens flare and film grain.
Pixel Piracy was abandoned because Quadro Delta went bankrupt, from what i understand this is made by different studio/publisher with same dev? From what i found Studio Devolver digital did quite a few great AND finished indie games (Carrion, Fall guys, Broforce, Hotline Miami)
I'm wondering that too. Looks like this time the developer acknowledges that it's a one man band and will take it easy... I recommend reading through Steam's forums before buying.
@@Tanatonis you might see my other post but the reason they stopped was because of lots of infighting and legal battle between him and the others, this AFAIK its the same dev that made those claims but he made it sound like he did nothing about it but complain, he contradicted himself a lot when going over "what happened"
@@joedirtakabruce He also posted an "explanation" on Reddit about what happened, with claims that he would follow up with more detail. He ended up disappearing and/or ignoring anyone asking any questions that poked holes in his comments.
The game is pretty good so far. I would like it to be less pixelated when you're actually playing it, like your satellite view becomes clear or something.
I think they added the ability to turn off the pixelation, I put some research into the game and they made it pixel like because their last came (pixel piracy) was, well, pixelated.

If you ever need to buy a game and have the URL but dont want to use the browser, you just load up another game, open the overlay (shift-tab), hit community and you can paste the url there and itll count as you being logged in. I use this on games that i use a wiki on but dont like alt-tabbing. (You can make a URL appear on the main steam client by middle mousing stuff but the URL is locked and cant be edited) edit: Also, i just saw someone elses post. you can go big picture mode and use the browser in there.

This looks really cool as far as gameplay goes but that visual filter they have on it is a no go. I sadly could no even finish the video because it was hurting my eyes. Someone should smack the dev that thought that crap was a good idea.
On the steam page it says: "Notice: At the request of the publisher, Ragnorium is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search." Since it's early access maybe they aren't ready to show it yet unless you know of it already.
This is what developers should do if they want to avoid steams 30% cut. The reason its unlisted and you can only buy it through other sites is because steam doesn't take a cut from those sales, which is basically a checkmate for Epic's flagship justification.
I purchased the devs last two games (pixel piracy and pixel privateers) and will not be making the same mistake here, will be waiting to see if the game is actually finished and not containing any game breaking bugs before even considering a purchase. Everyone should check out the Steam pages for the last two games to see if they want to roll the dice on this one.
it's because of this guy had issues with the other devs of the other games where he claimed they stole it etc (lots of drama going on around it) and went on about how them "stealing the game from him"nearly put him on the street...this was after he went on about how he was retired from the oil business where he was like a head IT guy or something, can't remember the whole thing but basically lots of contradictions and the whole drama of the claims he made so he doesn't want another one " stolen" from him hence why its kinda hidden, thats most of what he told me last I spoke to him about it (steam forums)
Might not be on Steam, due to Devs requests for right now. Maybe that want to just Polish up the game before actually Releasing to the people. Being that it is Early Access still. Which I always think will be a good idea. Wanting to at least make the game as Stable as possible. Not alot of Hiccups along the way.
This is reminding me of Kenshi but more focused on colony building. Wouldn't mind showcasing more of this on an episode 2!

The stylisation is nice, the UI looks nice, but the glitching effects are jarring. Looks like an interesting game though!
