    Dear lordy. So happy I left my window closed during this meditation. I became so light and hollow, a gust of wind could have blown me out the window. I think I just lost 40 pounds. 🥰🥰🥰. Thank you.

    Amazing meditation. The Yoga meditation Rupert did called The Body is a Localization of Consciousness cracked me open last summer. I took it on a walk along the river here. It had to unfold before I saw that this was no bread crumb. A remarkable if subtle shift in perception of the visual field, thoughts, and reactivity. Such peace. No me walking, no me chewing and eating, no me talking….all of this just emanating from and disappearing into and being emptiness.
    If anyone on Rupert’s team sees this, many thanks to him and all of you. 🙏

    Haha. After meditating with this lovely video on the first icy morning I wore gum boots and slipped on ice on cement and really smashed my head. My impulse when I was down was to focus on awareness being aware of my body. My head was unbelievably sore and kooky, but when I became aware of nausea I knew I had to crawl to safety and get home. I had my little dog on his leash (who I didn’t notice really for 20 or 30 minutes). Poor guy was bundled in his winter jacket in a warm house and wouldn’t move at the doorway. Finally, he did. I had crashed on my bed and lay there. I am scared now-of ice, of walking, of this video. Haha.

    Feeling the understanding. That everything is i. That everything is empty and this body is nothing special. Thank you, I read your books and do your exercises moment by moment. The awakening happened but the body wasn't in line with the understanding. I will definitely add this to my practice.

    • @asstornaut1066

      Everything is not empty, but subjectively you can HAVE this experience.

    • @tbayley6
      @tbayley6 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +J. Pointless comment. It all depends who "you" are. And what "empty" means.

    • @tbayley6
      @tbayley6 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      *****
      Isn't there emptiness between two magnets? Or between two charged particles? And yet there seems to be something going on between them. That apparent 'something' is the emptiness that everything is made of.

    • @tbayley6
      @tbayley6 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      *****
      But I think the "emptiness" that spiritual people are really talking about is just the understanding that the mind can take the flimsiest speculation and project it into a matter of utter seriousness. Once you dismantle that tendency, you see 'through' a lot of apparently concrete things. It doesn't mean you don't act appropriately in the material world, it's just that your action does not hinge on any serious metaphysical idea about what it is.

    • @spaceape3292
      @spaceape3292 ปีที่แล้ว

      I disagree. Your body is the most special "thing" in all this universe. Its half of you, its a gift, its a macro expression of the macro reality. And its your mission: to elevate its substance, to sublimate it. Your body is your disciple and you are its master. The first step step in guiding it its the most important and most powerful: love. You really need to love your body, otherwise you are a tyrant who dispises the one he rules and all tyrants get killed by those he rules, sooner or later.

    Rupert thank you for your talks . When something is understood some inner peace arises. This experience though is only a temporary dwelling place until ( manas (ego self) takes a foothold again. Your meditations are not reaching me, its true there is ego resistance but abiding in your meditation I hear only a good man having a wisdom conversation with himself. Somehow I switch off.
    If I have any degree of realisation the ego smothers it. The I am, that experiences the shifting content is not a place of contentment. Rather its a place of neutrality or confusion. There's no abiding peace in the dualistic world , I feel like a mother who watches her children losing there way unable to reach them , I feel helpless and feel i will die in old age with the same lack of peace.

    • @rossdsilva5235
      @rossdsilva5235 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is no Ego , there is only a though that says Ego smothers it, Where does that thought appear and dissolve in ? If you are aware of the thought, how can you be the one that changes ( thoughts,feelings,world,sense perceptions etc) ?
      All these are thoughts I feel helpless, I feel like a mother etc Ask yourself where do these thoughts Arise and where do these thoughts disappear and see the truth for yourself :)
      All thoughts,feelings,perceptions, sensations etc appear in me and dissolve in me, all come and go I alone remain.
      You are that, I am that , One is that ! Peace and Love :D

    Non duality has been the single most profound and deepest mistake i have chosen to pursue, in my life
    If you like looking your lover/parent in the eye and saying i love you, be ready to never say that again for the rest of your life. Conditioning falls away. This means your friends see you as a stranger with their former friend's memories.
    You are not able to create familiarity with anyone ever again. I cant get out of it anymore. Prepare for a life of transcendent loneliness

    Firstly thank you for a liberating experience. A query: if the body- mind is also the creation of the universal consciousness, and granted that the former can exist without the consciousness of the latter, then in the meditation to unite the two or integrate the two in consciousness, is there a subtle suggestion that the body mind is of less value, needing to be " washed, flushed " of impurities (?), by a higher or purer energy? If both are the same in essence, why not an equal integration? Is the gain only for body- mind?

      ***** Thank you so much, but this problem appeared here many times. Some uploads have the level of loudness sufficiant for listening straight from the computer. It depends on how it is settled during making the video. -

    I feel so conflicted and confused I don't know what to do so that's why today I decided I would start asking people that believe what I do that we are pure awareness
