    all good. I bought a used one today. seller brought the drone over, showed me how to pair and that both batteries worked. with no drone experience, and I'll add this, I'm a keyboard and mouse guy, I've run attack helicopter simulations using stick, throttle quadrant/collective, and rudder pedals since like 1990. I was able to take off, move it 40 or so feet, and return to within 2 feet manually. I'm so stoked, lol.

      no crash....the seller was in front of it to catch it, in case I over ran control, but overall, with no experience with drones, I was able to work it a bit. Got to watch control inputs , like most xbox ps style controllers. I suck at xbox/ps controllers, but I did not crash it.

    I sent my Zino Pro back to Amazon today. :( It would not maintain altitude and drifted to the left in little to no wind. I calibrated it. Did all the calibrations. The camera was nice though although the gimbal was not calibrated and the horizon a little tilted. I bought a $10.99 landing pad on Amazon which is great. Hitting RTH on the controller found the ZP land a meter from the pad two times. The last RTH I did from the app and it nailed the pad perfectly. But I sent it back because of drifting. You would think with 15 satellites this would not be a problem. Tonight I ordered a FIMI X8 SE 2020 which will be here Wednesday. Not too thrilled by the camera but we'll see.

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you are describing is typical behavior for the Zino drones. You will find the Fimi much more stable than the Hubsan. If you really value a solid, stable hover go with a DJI Mavic Air 2.

    Thumbs up ere' Marcus, thanks for the shout out! Great honest review on the Hubsan Zino - Some people had said the GPS was a bit off but with practice and this time a lot better! Great tutorial, for price and viewing the footage this a great starter drone - many thanks for sharing the info - Merry Christmas to you and your family :)

    Received the Zino yesterday by Canada Post. It took a few tries but got app working (left my bluetooth on and would not bind) so ran the motors and all telemetry works plus gimbal operation. 👍 👍 Thanks for sharing your thoughts and help. Merry Christmas bro. 👍 ✌

    Hi Marcus, thanks for your great tips. I have been unable to catch what the female voice says on my 117s when I take off. Its something about home, I think. There does not seem any volume control on the voice and I'm 80 y.o. and half deaf. Could you help me out please. Thanks Tom

      @@IdahoQuadcopter I think they are available on the Hubsan site, www.hubsan.com/na/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=996, but for $499 for the base version, $549 for the "portable" version which comes with the shoulder bag and an extra battery. The portable version seems like a better deal, but it's ust a tad more than I want to shell out at the mo. :(

    You speak about dificulties connecting the drone to the phone per wifi and you told something about precision problems in the first flight which you got rid of, how did you? I had my first flight with actual firmware a few minutes ago and the drone flies miserable (I can tell because its my second one, last one I had arouond 2020), it is slowly circeling around itself and its drivting very strongly so I ask myself, whats going wrong with it, can I change something? Is it just gps calibration or what is it exactly? I would be happy about any hint. Best regards, Johnston

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Johnston. It sounds like a compass calibration is needed. If not, it may be defective.

    • @Johnstonsonsen
      @Johnstonsonsen 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@IdahoQuadcopter ok, I will try the compass calibration (earlier IT was callled GPS Blabla?) couldnt find it but then I realised ITS named compass calibration now. Earlier IT Had to be 0,5m distance while calibration now ITS 1,5m and called compass calibration, am I right? Another Problem occured with my second Zino. Since Firmware Update the Drones Gimbal goes Up while initialization and Makes Strange sound staying upwards, IT Just stops only when I move the Drone... My First experiences where much better with Zino.... :-(

    Thanks for the video - very helpful - I am new to Drones - but wanted to start with a good one - I have ordered a Zino Pro Drone and I wonder if you could share your thoughts on the differences? Range? Ease of Use ? Thanks again for an awesome video.

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! The Zino Pro adds more range, and timelapse photos. I do know people are have some camera issues with the Pro. I've never seen or flown one, so I cannot speak to how it operates. I did recently buy the Zino 2, and I am still a big fan of the original Zino.

      @@IdahoQuadcopter Thanks for the quick response - how do you like lthe Zino 2 ? I haven't even flown my Zino Pro yet (it arrives on Thursday) and I have already started looking at the DJI Mavic 2 - alot more more money (just under 1k if I buy the bundle package that includes case and three batteries) I will probably wait a while but darn, that looks like an Awesome Drone.

    Before I downloaded the new firmware I was able to fly this drone without a problem. Now after updating the new firmware I can't bind my controller to the drone. I ordered this quad back in October and received it 2 months later I'm just frustrated with this quad. I hope Hubsan gets it right soon or I'm going to post a video of me blowing this quad up to pieces!!!

    Hello, does a hubsan zino can't fly with a remote controller only without any phone connected?

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know. I've never tried that.

  • @jascompilation9128
    @jascompilation9128 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    And also, does it need the original cable to connect from the transmitter to phone because as of now i don't have the original cable from the hubsan and what i did was i used my regular charging cable to connect the transmitter to phone but it always says aircraft disconnected.What should i do so that i can use my transmitter to fly?

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You do need a data cable that connects from your mobile device to the controller. Make sure it's a data cable, not just a charging cable.

    • @jascompilation9128
      @jascompilation9128 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idaho Quadcopter oh i see..maybe that is my mistake...charging cable is different from a data cable is that what you mean isn't it? If that so...i will buy the zino cable in amazon...thanks for your immediate rply..

    Thumbs down for recommendations for first time flyers. I have to apologize but learning how to fly sub 200 like with the hubsan 501s under 200. Even the hubsan 502s under 100 for a gps drone. Please don't recommend this for first time flyers. I was mislead by youtubers. Making the mistake in purchasing the phantom 3 standard and broke the camera because of user error. People learn how to fly before you upgrade to this level. It will save you. Money

    • @IdahoQuadcopter

      We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. My first drone was a Phantom 3 Standard too. As for starter drones, I often recommend the Visuo XS812.
