    Another great test video, It's great you have time to show all the Zino owners about these test runs so they kind find out what wrong or right with the update.

    Great video as per usual Marcus. I appreciate seeing it.
    One thought about your crabbing issue. I wonder if one of the motors might be operating at less than the others? I have not noticed the yaw nor have seen others quite as noticeable as yours is...
    Anyway, keep up the great work...

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Dennis! I know of some others that have the same issue, as bad or even worse than mine. Chris the QC Guy reports the same problem. However, I do not claim to be technical enough to really know what might cause the issue. I will say that for me, the off vector forward flight is the most annoying thing about the Zino.

  • @DavidGarciaLopez1983

    Great video as always! Which settings are you using for the camera? I have the Zino but my footage doesn't look that sharp. Another things is that most of the time it takes more than 5 minutes to get GPS signal, do you have the same problem? Any advise? :-)

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I typically get a GPS of 10 or more satellites in a minute or so, never longer. The only camera setting I changed in this video was white balance. I changed it to cloudy day.

    Great video Marcus! I really enjoy your updates. I have been eyeballing this drone for a little while. For my use (travel, following my truck, and photos from my camping trips) would you choose this or spend more on the anafi? I ruled the spark out for a longer battery and reports of the dji app having issues with my phone. Any recommendations would be appreciated. FYI, this will be my first drone

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Sean! If you have the money, the Anafi is a better choice by a wide margin. The Zino is really great at it's price point, but it is not even in the same league as the Anafi.

    • @seanarguelles
      @seanarguelles 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@IdahoQuadcopter thanks for the reply, yeah that's the top of what I was going to spend, but just wanted to make sure the anafi would be worth the extra $ for my first drone. Keep up the great videos!

    • @Dman52Drones
      @Dman52Drones 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seanarguelles Hey Sean , I think you should check out the Parrot Bebop 2 as a first drone . It's in line pricewise with the Zino but is a much more user friendly drone . Good luck with whichever drone you choose brother and happy flying ! 😁👍👍

    • @seanarguelles
      @seanarguelles 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dman52Drones thanks for the recommendation, I was also looking at that one but ultimately decided against it because the zino and anafi had better cameras and I like the foldable design of these as well. Have you compared the photo/video quality between these birds?

    • @Dman52Drones
      @Dman52Drones 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seanarguelles Oh yeah foldables are nice for travel and space saving . I have the Zino which has 4k , and I have the Bebop 2 Power with 1080 P . A little less clarity in the camera on the Bebop but I think it makes up for that in flight range . I was only making a suggestion on your first purchase at a less costly scale because we all crash when starting out at some point . The Anafi is without a doubt a great choice . Happy flying buddy !

    Hi Marcus, just as I got more or less similar behaviour I think a lot of the physical, software and handling problems. As I told I found a lot of smaller things can explain this sometimes strange behaviour. I.e. the dropping while fly forward could be a barometer issue. I see on the most videos what I see on mine. The altitude numbers changes a lot just after fire on the drone. It changes from -0.5 Meters to +1 Meter. After start it still changes in big steps. Maybe this is what Fimi try to fix with the preheating.
    Fair winds
    Tom

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wanambi I agree, I suspect it is related to the barometer. Additionally the Zino doesn’t have any optical flow, or sonic sensors to tell it where the ground is.

    Hello, you make really good video :)
    I Want to buy a X8 but i see the zino is very good to and really cheaper, the accessories are cheaper too. Did you see a real difference of qualities between these 2 ? Thanks :)

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pipo P The Zino is a great value, and performs well. The Fimi is more expensive, but has more features. You cannot go wrong with either product. 👍

  • @GorillamansGarage
    @GorillamansGarage 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question: Did the Zino RTH on Controller disconnect or just when both signals lost? I cant see the screen recording. I just was able to see it... I WAS WRONG... THE UPDATES DO ONE THING BETTER... THEY INITIATE RTH ON CONTROLLER SIGNAL LOSS... That is good and bad... Now you can not fly thru a bad spot... it will always RTH on any signal loss temporaroly and there is no way of putting a timer on it.

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It spun around like a top the minute signal was lost. Take a look at Hugh Pollocks video. His did the same. I do understand your point though. 👍

    • @GorillamansGarage
      @GorillamansGarage 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IdahoQuadcopter | Seems they have gone one step too far. Then what is the point of having a meter for RC and Drone if as soon as RC is lost , it comes home. All that was asked was that when all signal loss was reached that the RTH engage and not disengage unless the pilot cancels.

    • @GorillamansGarage
      @GorillamansGarage 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FYI: Found the Zino Auto returns at 25%, 15% and at 10% it just straight lands :) After many rewinds... I think Hubsan is on the right track... just dont really like the instant RTH... a few second delay or a count down would be nice. But they will get there.

    Sir What Phone are you using flying the Zino? Andriod or IOS?

  • @klausst.8510
    @klausst.8510 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I tried the fast forward flying yesterday, still with fw 1.1.48, and I didn‘t notice any remarkable drop, maybe 30-40 cm over a distance of 100 meters. Could it be a sort of ground effect you have? I flew at a height of about 5 m, and not 1 m as you did? I will repeat that, but I need to find and install a software on my Android, which records the app screen, so that I can verify if it drops or not, the track log was not consistent regarding the height , it was somewhat oszillating between 5,20-5,60 m.

    • @IdahoQuadcopter
      @IdahoQuadcopter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly Klaus St., I really don't see the drop as a big problem. It's not the kind of flying that I would normally do. My biggest issue with the Zino now is the camera off center in forward flight. It seems to be a sporadic problem that some Zinos have and others don't?

    • @klausst.8510
      @klausst.8510 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idaho Quadcopter I haven‘t yet paid attention to that, I think you mean that happens in auto flight mode (RTH)? Next flights I will try rth and hope to see how the camera behaves.

    • @IdahoQuadcopter

      In both of my recent videos, I did all of the upgrades and calibrations with the same battery charge that I flew on, so no doubt I got less flight time.

    Thanks Marcus... so you and CLTech ( th-cam.com/video/m6EV7et4b2Q/w-d-xo.html ) had similar but then, not so similar results. Seems the Zino is not consistent in its actions. As you know , I run 1.1.48... it also RTH on disconnect and GPS hold on reconnect. If (you) initiate RTH and lose connection... it keeps RTH when it reconnects. My PL results are also scrambled... sometimes right on the money.. sometimes off by a few meters (not of any concern). So what is the difference from 1.1.48 to 1.1.50 to 1.1.51 ? or from IT_V0.3.5 to IT_V0.3.6 ? We have gale force winds here today so I cant do the 'control' test I wanted... But I agree... for the money and a great Video drone... Zino is a great option.
