Well Chris, you've been so helpful with the updates. Now that I've finished with that, I've still have it yet to put it up for my first flight. I've just been patiently waiting and watching and keeping tract of others experiences, before I put this thing in the air. I'm keeping tract of the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks for the information. I'm not capable of doing much modding but I'm following along as best I can. Your explanation of what's behind the backplate of the camera gimbal is much better than the grainy video of doing a reset by finding a non-existent "button". I replaced the gummy glue with a piece of foam to stabilize the connectors but still getting shake in the recording
Very interesting. One question... Do/have you found that most disconnects happen while the drone is facng the controller or away. Mine usually happens when the drone is facing me . ??
Gorilla Man It’s been both reported and two that I seen proof of were each facing both directions. Mine has done both but more so when facing away. This could be no improvement what so ever with whatever I come up with and just Hubsan needing to up the power a bit if they can. I’m going to try though and worse case I may fix the occasional lag issue I also see with mine.

Can you Please inform me wich Cable i can use to Swap a broken 5,8Ghz Antenna Cable from my hubsan zino pro? Ive eben looking vor months now and didnt find anything and TH-cam wont even Show a Video where someone is replacing the Cable pls help :(((
Hubsan can sell you that directly but Aliexpress has a lot of these things as well. I personally would buy the leg itself because they are cheap and the antenna is already installed along with a new esc.
So what is the status of your antenna mod??? have you advance ??? if is possible to put a antenna like Foxeer FPV Antenna Lollipop, will be ideal is a omni directional antenna is 2.8DB Omni very popular and effective,.
Hey i have a question. A few actually. Do you have an email or other way to contact you besides comments here? I have 50 + flights on my zino. All of a sudden i get no video feed and it is not showing on the wifi list on the app or my wifi list on my phone. Should the zino show on my network screen on my phone? Any ideas whats going on?

Michael Silva I’m seeing more of this lately. My guess is they changed one of the antennas to a different type in the arm frame. The wires are both there going into both arms so it’s safe to say one is different and in the frame.
QC GUY, I just tried a flight with 1.0.23.... omg it was so bad, i knew it was bad as soon as i took off.. toilet bowing like i have never seen.. I knew it was bad as soon as I took off and so I just had to get up and get some altitude so I didn’t crash into the house the rest of the flight was spent trying to wrestle it to the ground and not crash it into the ground... what firmware have you had best results with?

I went to to 1.0.20-21 back to .18 then to .19 now back at .21 or whatever is the latest on the Hubsan site. and so far they have all been total S#!*... I might get two flights, but mostly its one ok flight then every flight after that, the thing toilet bowls crazy bad, most recently Im talking like 60-80 diameter toilet bowl... spent 10 minutes trying to fight the thing to the ground, thought I was going to have no choice but to crash it.. Im super bummed, I watched you, capt drone and that one dude from Maui over the last year trying to learn as much as possible about the Zino, had my heart set on the pro forever... and so far I've been almost nothing but completely heart broken... Had high hopes and was so excited... now just totally disappointed
My zino was coming back to me and was about 50 feet over my head when it turned and took off away from me flying around on its own. I was using an iPhone and returned it to Hubsan for a full refund. I am still waiting for the refund though after over a month. I did finally get my refund from Hubsan on January 25th. I had to stay on Hubsan daily with emails to everyone I could find but did finally get it.
Bill Crawford See that’s what makes this hard. It’s a 50/50 of close flyaways and distant flyaways. Sorry for your negative experience with it and hope you get your refund soon. Stay on them consistently! 👍
You got Lucky. My Zino decided last night that instead of returning to home when it lost connection to continue in the opposite direction until it disappeared, never to be seen again. Now I'm going to have to fight for a refund or replacement. So count yourself lucky
Woody Daniels I was finishing up my flight and coming home when my zino started flying off on its own. It flew away over a mile and turned around and flew back to where I could again see it on the phone. I wasn’t sure where it was but watched it twist and turn till the battery got to low and it came down. I located it will the GPS since it was close enough to see.

It's supposed to be a 5G quad and the antennas say 5.8gHz. FCC documents say it uses a frequency range of 5.745-5.825 GHz. I'm not sure of anything when it comes to Chinese claimed specs.
I'm not trying to sound like a certain someone out there in TH-cam land with his huge ego but I would def have this thing flying much better and most issues resolved. I would have to fix the company first and that may be impossible! LOL

Awesome antenna modification idea. Zino pilots could use a stable antenna signal modification that looks nice. Thank you for sharing. Cary on!

I have started the controller and at this time don't see the need to change or mod the zino because I'm getting full range.

What can I do about USB disconnect all the time?
Ward Raygor cut those nubs off the tx side of the cable. Cut them off flush with a razor so the plug seats further in the port.

I had a disconnected problem today , my Zino crash no major damaged just the Left front arm and guess what there is no wifi antenna inside the arm lol

Mark Garner I keep mine on 1.1.52 and will never change it. Gimbal 3.0.2.2 and camera 0.3.6
