    Nice video. I agree with the assessments made. I sold the Africa Twin 1100 DCT to buy the Tenere 700, abandoning the new Transalp after seeing it at EICMA. On my Tenere 700 I did the Bartubless conversion and mounted MITAS E07Plus tyres. The changes I'm making are all aimed at keeping the bike as light as possible. HI

    I came across your videos looking at the NC750 and love your attitude. Although I’m probably double your age you have some very grounded opinions. I look forward to seeing your Tenere adventures, good luck. PS, as an English national in Germany never worry about your command of the language, you put many “english natives” to shame.

      Maaan, comments like this make me go and continue on TH-cam :) thank you very much 👍 I’m happy you like it especially as a nativ speaker.
      The NC750X is better in many ways than the Tenere 700 ;) I will make a video about this. Great choice for a bike!

    Great video, looking forward to more in the future. I was just like you. When I saw the spy photos back in 2016 I said to myself that’s the best looking bike I’ve ever seen and I will have one of those someday. I’m a big Yamaha guy, I’ve had several snowmobile‘s, dirt bikes, 4- wheelers and know the brand is very reliable especially that CP2 motor. I just got mine two weeks ago but it’s winter time here so I’ll have to wait till the spring to ride it.

    I went from a NC 750 to an Africa twin 3 years later I bought the Tenere 700, I believe the Tenere is the best compromise of the NC and the Africa. Well done.

    Nice review, tire-wise you should try the Motoz Tractionator GPS, the 700 is not too heavy, and even a heavy bike like the KTM 1290 behaves beautifully with it, on tarmac as well as on dirt. And the mileage is enormous, even on a monster.

    Hi. I am looking to upgrade from a cb500x. I am 186cm tall. And find the cb to be a little small for me without mods. Raising the front etc. How is the t700 on long distances? Does it vibrate? Also is the seat good for long drives? I find the seat on my cb to be uncomfortable on 2+ hour drives. Mounted a air pillow on mine to make it better. I am looking at the world raid version due to the upgrades and the bigger fuel capasity. As i will be doing some long distance traveling.

      I didn’t like it to much when I test rode it :/ it was very too heavy, the front suspension was like pudding, the consumption almost 6l/100km, and it felt more heavy. It’s still a great bike just not for me

      Also the Africa twin is very complicated, more expensive , very difficult and slow to work on and really it offers very little performance over a T7 , it’s excess weight and running costs are for nothing .

    • @MrMegaPerez
      @MrMegaPerez  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks :) you guessed it right. My NC750X used about 3,3-4,3 l/100km. The Tenere is using something between 3,8-4,7 l/100km. Basically a half liter more than the NC and a can live with that ;)

    The Honda Transalp XL750 is much unlike most recent Honda single/twin cylinder bikes. Sharing the 270* parallel twin with the Hornet. This engine is tuned to have a very decent 120hp/litre or 91hp from a 750cc. And it's still has very decent low and mid-range torque with a high end HP Hit ! The worst of Honda's recent offerings is the NC750 that has a measly 55hp. Even the CRF1100 AT has only 100hp. What I find amusing is that unlike the Orange bikes that have a 13:1 compression to achieve that level of tune, Honda engineers were able to do it with only 11:1 compression which means it can tolerate low octane gas! That's essential on "real" adventure rides!. The only real crap-outs that Honda did was making the skidplate optional and most of all the no-SHOWa suspension components. Further more, Honda's attention to weight on the Transalp is commendable as it is actually wet-weight lighter than the Orange 790/890 competition! Honda just has to put on some real(adjustable) suspension components (not the pathetic noSHOWa) and a standard skid-plate and voila! The XL750 Transalp trumps the mid-weight ADV segment, at an unprecedented price!

    • @MrMegaPerez

      The Transalp is a Great bike but you are right the suspension is sh*t

    • @aapa3732

      @@MrMegaPerez noSHOWa as an OEM company is pulling down the Honda name by providing such shitty shocks that very cheap aftermarket like YSS and China units with only a rebound clickers make such unbelievable improvements. The older XL/XR series have adjustable shocks and for some reason though SHOWA can do it with the CRF1100AT and the CRF450, they provide such junk shocks to the rest of Honda line-up including this XL750 Transalp.
