What do you use to keep yourself regular. For the life of me I can’t figure out what I’m missing. The more protein i eat the more constipated I am. I Eat leafy veggies, broccoli beans!!!! Nothing helps.

Can you a dress sodium in processed foods? I am finding it hard to get my protein goals without eating tons of sodium in processed foods. Seitan seems to be OK because vital wheat gluten does not have any sodium but things like the longgeve protein crumbles, and tofurky do. My coach and I are really trying to keep sodium down right now and are having issues finding good alternatives. What are your thoughts?
My question is related to reducing fat. Im 4’11” and was a lean 100lbs before going vegan for health. I’ve gained weight and muscle in the 9 months been vegan, now 107. So for us newbies that may have gained some fat, what’s the best way to improve fat loss when adjusting to an active vegan lifestyle? I feel great but miss seeing all that definition. Perhaps it’s about upping the protein?! Maybe 60g is not enough. (Thanks Natalie! For all your help and recipes thus far)
Thank you so much! If you gained weight, and you are a newbie lifter...it could be muscle...that's not a bad thing at all. Muscle is great! If you gained fat, that just means you been eating more than you need (probably in a caloric surplus). To lose fat you need to be in a caloric deficit (that applies to any diet). You can create a deficit through activity or adjusting calories slowly over time until you reach your goal.
Do you have any tips for the green tinge you get from show tans?? I do everything recommended by tan companies but every time I get a comp tan it happens. Thanks!! Would love a show day makeup tutorial!!

Right now I do both...I started doing a traditional split for 3 years, but right now I'm trying to maintain what I have and continue to grow specific body parts for my category (glutes and shoulders) day 1 glutes/shoulders day 2 back/hammies Day 3 glutes/ shoulders Day 4 Back/bis/tri Day 5 Glutes/Quads/Shoulders lol Day 6/7 REST

If I really want something I make it fit my macros, that way I can still stay on track with my fitness goals/competition prep and enjoy a lil treat here and there. It's ok to have a cookie, it's ok to have a chocolate. I have vegan dark chocolate every day lol. I just make it fit my macros, it's a treat that I look forward to. I pick foods that I love so I can have an enjoyable diet. Also make sure that your meals during the day are filling and balance, I prep meals in advance.

Ma coach gives me macro targets, I plan meals for 3-4 days at a time, unless I'm doing a TH-cam...then I will show you guys how I cook it. After 4 days I find food gets soggy and it's not as enjoyable.

Yes I do! I lift heavy whenever I can...I also listen to my body, if something doesn't feel right I will lift lighter higher reps...my goal is to stay safe and injury free.

But I have a question.. im a new vegan and I'm LOVING high carb low fat eating... since I've been lifting heavy for years I have lots of muscle mass still..do you think I can maintain my muscle mass eating this way? Can you a dress sodium in processed foods? I am finding it hard to get my protein goals without eating tons of sodium in processed foods. Seitan seems to be OK because vital wheat gluten does not have any sodium but things like the longgeve protein crumbles, and tofurky do. My coach and I are really trying to keep sodium down right now and are having issues finding good alternatives. What are your thoughts?

My question is related to reducing fat. Im 4’11” and was a lean 100lbs before going vegan for health. I’ve gained weight and muscle in the 9 months been vegan, now 107. So for us newbies that may have gained some fat, what’s the best way to improve fat loss when adjusting to an active vegan lifestyle? I feel great but miss seeing all that definition. Perhaps it’s about upping the protein?! Maybe 60g is not enough. (Thanks Natalie! For all your help and recipes thus far)

If you gained weight, and you are a newbie lifter...it could be muscle...that's not a bad thing at all. Muscle is great!
If you gained fat, that just means you been eating more than you need (probably in a caloric surplus). To lose fat you need to be in a caloric deficit (that applies to any diet). You can create a deficit through activity or adjusting calories slowly over time until you reach your goal.
What do you think are essential supplements to take for optimal health as a vegan? For example, omega 3/Vit D/B12..... Anything else??

Loved this Q&A! When it comes to your training, do you split by body part (arms, shoulders, back, legs) or stick to push, pull, legs? Or do you tend t do a mix up of both? I'm curious to know how you change it as prep moves along. :)
Right now I do both...I started doing a traditional split for 3 years, but right now I'm trying to maintain what I have and continue to grow specific body parts for my category (glutes and shoulders)
day 1 glutes/shoulders
day 2 back/hammies
Day 3 glutes/ shoulders
Day 4 Back/bis/tri
Day 5 Glutes/Quads/Shoulders lol
Day 6/7 REST

If I really want something I make it fit my macros, that way I can still stay on track with my fitness goals/competition prep and enjoy a lil treat here and there. It's ok to have a cookie, it's ok to have a chocolate. I have vegan dark chocolate every day lol. I just make it fit my macros, it's a treat that I look forward to. I pick foods that I love so I can have an enjoyable diet. Also make sure that your meals during the day are filling and balance, I prep meals in advance.

I would love to know how you plan out your meals/macros. Do you plain daily, weekly, or sone other increment?
Ma coach gives me macro targets, I plan meals for 3-4 days at a time, unless I'm doing a TH-cam...then I will show you guys how I cook it.
After 4 days I find food gets soggy and it's not as enjoyable.

Yes I do! I lift heavy whenever I can...I also listen to my body, if something doesn't feel right I will lift lighter higher reps...my goal is to stay safe and injury free.

Good question! cable ab crunches...I don't train abs anymore, but that's what I did to build them up.

Idk if I'm too late for the giveaway! But I have a question.. im a new vegan and I'm LOVING high carb low fat eating... since I've been lifting heavy for years I have lots of muscle mass still..do you think I can maintain my muscle mass eating this way? Or will i need to eventually adjust my macros once I reach my optimal body weight (I'm about 15 lbs away)
