That was a seal(s) in the creek, we saw 2 or 3 in Sept when we went and we were talking to some locals. Can't remember what they named them, they are seals. Seals and Sea Lions are different mammals in the same "species" I can't remember what they said was the type they had there.
That was definitely a harbor or spotted seal. They were likely hunting for fish. Sea lions are much bigger. They are amazing - to get a better view of them, if you visit Seward, you can see them close up at the Alaska Sea Life Center. :-)
You two…..my wife and I love watching you. Fun, informative, happy people, and interesting. I will not judgeth thee…. I got no right. Can’t wait to get to Jellyfish donuts!
One of my favorite videos you have done. I never thought I was a cruise person until I saw this Alaska cruise. You two are great travelers, you go with the flow. If your original excursion plans had worked out, you would never have experienced the salmon donut.
Wow, thank you! We really do try to not let anything get us too down. And the Salmon donuts were totally worth it, still dreaming of them. Thank you so much Amy
What a cute little town....I love to cruise..Probably my most favorite way to travel. Did you try the drinks from the robot bartenders? I did on my last Royal Caribbean cruise and boy were the drinks strong..But yummy!! When Josh said "Don't judge me" I was like "What did he do?" Then I laughed my ass off when I saw the doughnut shop!!...Too funny! Great video once again...
Haha thanks so much Johnny! It's funny how we got done with the brewery and just knew we had to head back for donuts again! We love cruising too, so glad some of our audience comes with us on these adventures. We did the Tipsy Robot on Symphony of the Seas but since we didn't do the drink package this time around we did not make it. Very cool to watch though for sure. Thank you as always
sorry you couldn't go on your plane excursion but really enjoyed seeing you in the town. Love getting to see these videos and traveling through your adventures. ❤️
The day we visited Ketchikan it poured rain! We had our float plane cancelled and just wandered the streets. It’s a cute town. Also that was a funicular that was the transport up the hill. You guys are a great watch!
Loved this one ❤ Way to adapt to the wrenches thrown into the plans and make things happen 💪🏼 thanks for taking us with you 😊We think that’s a harbor seal 🦭
What a fabulous day! So much to do and see. Great job amigos! Ummm, as far as the little swimming creature...I think it was a sea otter🦦. Sea lions are by the ocean 🦭
So very much to see and do! We had such a great time! Rach is on team #seaotter while Josh is team #sealion! While others have told us harbor seal 🦭 ….the mysteries of Ketchikan! Thanks Coco for watching!!
Great video very well filmed and edited 👍🏼 again impressed with the amount of food you can consume in one day 😮 "I didn't throw it up but it did make it into my napkin"
I believe that was a sea otter. We also have a fish ladder here in Grand Rapids! Crab is my most favorite food in the world! The Tram is called a Funicular =D We have one of those here in GR at our zoo. And Grand Rapids is Beer City USA... so you should come visit!
This Sea Lion vs Otter seems like it should be a debate - Is a seal another option...oh gosh. We love crab too and it was definitely on our list to eat too much of and we achieved that. Where would a person fly to if going to Grand Rapids and is it UP?
Wow they ripped you off on that king crab. I realize there is a lot of meat in the knuckle, but it isn't as sweet as the legs. And I can only imagine how much that cost per pound. Glad you took lemons and made lemonade!! Thanks for the video.
Definitely not ideal all around but still had a great time. Don’t worry we made up for missing the legs this go around - not gonna want to miss the Juneau day! Thank you Roger
You missed the nails on the boardwalk that made the globe. It was in front of the shore building (?) next to where the ships dock, you'll have to go back to find it. It's actually pretty cool.
Hi Josh and Rachel, amazing Alaska videos. Quick question, did you visit in september? I would like to have a clue on what to expect with the weather. Im leaving in the same cruise on the 23 sept
Rachel - HELP! LoL. What are the water proof/resistant pants you wore? We’re heading to Alaska in September, so I am anticipating rain. I want to get a couple pair of comfy pants for the trip. Any suggestions? Love watching you guys! We’re doing Vegas for my birthday in August, so your videos there are helpful too. Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks so much for watching! I can’t recall where I found my pants, but the brand is Pearl Izumi, they are lined as well so not only repel the water but keep you warm as well!!
@@JoshRachael thank you so much! I’ll look for those. Love watching you guys - keep ‘em coming! Very helpful. But honestly, I’m not as brave with the food. Haha.
Definitely the tough part of cruising is the short duration in port, we would have enjoyed more time in all of our Alaska one but still great to visit so many places in a short period of time
Ok - Help settle the debate Sea Lion, Sea Otter, Seal or something else???
Sea otter...sea lions are way bigger.
River otter!

Haha next time
Oh those donuts!
Yum!!!!

Thanks so much! Go Early and Late for those Donuts!
Team Sea Lion here. Great video you two!
Awesome! Thank you!
Boy that looked like the most awesome day, despite the pivot. I bet those salmon donuts would pair great with that craft beer!
Darn right they would - they should be next door to one another! Thank you!
Aww you guys rock! I also love me some crab! Way to pivot😁🦀
Thanks so much!! Why let it ruin your day we figure #EatMoreDonuts #EatMoreCrab
Oh my god I just stumbled on your page and I love you guys! Excellent tour!!💞

Thank you so much Susan!!! Darn weather ruining all out float planes :( - Still had a blast
Don’t judge me - oh my gosh I laughed out loud! Love watching both of you. Thanks for the video it was fun.
We laughed watching this one back saying how we couldn't eat more or drink more...couple scenes later...HaHa - thank you!
Alaska looks beautiful 😍Crabs looked so delicious, thanks for sharing guys! You’re both awesome! ❤️u guys from Arizona!
Thank you so much 🤗
The salmon doughnut convinced me to go cruising lol. Keep going with these awesome cruise videos. 😁 🛳 🦀 🐟 🍱 🍕🍣🍡🍩😋
Trust me we would do more cruises if we could take enough time off work to do them. Thank you so much!
Ketchikan and Sitka are amazing!
Sitka is our next port and it is beautiful!!!
Loved this one ❤ Way to adapt to the wrenches thrown into the plans and make things happen 💪🏼 thanks for taking us with you 😊We think that’s a harbor seal 🦭
Haha thanks so much guys! Thanks for coming along with us. When are you guys heading back to Vegas?
@@JoshRachael we’re off to Australia this week for 16 days and we’ll be back in Vegas around Christmas.
Nice. Family Visit I’m guessing? Will you Vlog it?
Great video guys! Loved it !
Thanks so much, lots more to come from this cruise, we are loving how it turned out, hope you do too

Lol the nature commentary! 😅
We do our best but we really are better at just eating. Thank you!
Hi Josh and Rachel, amazing Alaska videos. Quick question, did you visit in september? I would like to have a clue on what to expect with the weather. Im leaving in the same cruise on the 23 sept
We did - it was the last cruise of the season, I believe we left Seattle around Sept 26!

Sometimes we shouldn't be so brave haha definitely could have saved a few bad bites. Live and Learn
What was the waterproof backpack you wore?
Hello, great videos, on which dates you did this cruise? I am planning same cruise on late august this year
We were late September, into October…if I recall, the last RC cruise for Alaska last fall.
Thanks for watching! And enjoy Alaska!!
What time of year was this? Enjoyed the video.
Thank you, this was the last week of September
@@JoshRachael oh ok thank you.
I liked Ketchikan, wish another line would stay longer. Guess that means we gotta go back.
