I am so glad you enjoyed Victoria as much as you did, it brought back some very vivid flashbacks as you walked the streets,. That was my beat for ten years as a Paramedic. I just want to mention that the "Parliament" building you mentions is actually a Legislature. There is only one Parliament building and that is in Ottawa, the Canadian capitol city. The parliament building would be the equivalent to your "white house" Each province has it's own Legislature building that house the Provincial Government. I am also very glad you managed to visit while it was sunny. Makes the world of difference. Cheers
@@JoshRachael Locally, it is called the 'Ledge' . The closest US equivalent would be 'State Capital Building' It has 87 members, or 'seats' , officially called MLAs 'Members Legislature Assembly' . They are elected by the voters, each for a separate area of the Province. Above them is the 'Premier' , who is also an MLA, and is leader of the party that has the most seats. The actual head of the province is the Lieutenant Governor (pronounced 'Leftenant') who is the Monarchs representative in BC. Sort of the equivalent to a state governor, except not voted in , but appointed by the government and has NO actual power! Got all that? LOL
Thank you for sharing your cruise experience! Victoria BC, what a beautiful, beautiful place. Would of been nice to have longer there, but glad you were able to get out and about. Thank you again guys ! Really enjoyed this Vlog series !!
Catching up on your vlogs. Victoria is one of my favorite places to visit. Still has a touch of British. Butchart Gardens is a go to place to visit, beautiful floral, rose garden. You guys do a fantastic job on your reviews.
Not sure if anyone mentioned yet but the food item at 2:22 might be idli… which is a rice cake usually made of ground rice and lentils, steamed… Indian breakfast item. Usually eaten with a chutney or sambar, like a dip or soup. By itself it might be plain and it seems like you guys may have missed the dip/soup.
I love cruises so much I think they are the most affordable thing to take. Because everything is there on the ship for you you just have to have your money ready for your excursions that’s all. Cruises are everything!!
Totally agree. It is much more affordable than so many other high travel areas. For us it seems to be one of the best ways to keep traveling the world. Good food, great locations and service all while seeing the world!
You should be in Victoria during Christmas. The Parliament Buildings have red and green lights instead of the white ones. When the ships get in early ,8 or 9 am, you can go to Butchart Gardens, Sidney, spend a few hours in the Museum and the IMax, and a few other touristy places.
Enjoyed your series of Alaska. I can't wait for my trip next September. Will be watching again close to me leaving so I can get some ideas for Sitka and Juneau. I am glad you enjoyed Victoria. You should see the Parliament buildings and the harbour at Christmas. Beautiful. Too bad you didn't have more time in our city. I have only lived here for the last 7 years but love this city. Looking forward to more of your vlogs.
What a beautiful place. The spicy wontons looked incredible. I was telling my friend yesterday that I think I'll do a cruise for my 50th next year. Probably just a 5 day down to Cabo and Ensenada. Suites are only $750 right now per person on Royal. I miss cruising and once the World Series of Poker ends, I'm hopping on one!!! Great video once again!
Thank y’all so much for this! Will cruise this itinerary on NCL summer 2023, your series has been so helpful. I’m going for that salmon donut 😍 love from Texas
Thank you for sharing the cruise experience in its entirety, including the sea sickness, you’d think a ship that size wouldn’t be susceptible to the wave but it is 😮. And living in NW Washington isn’t for those who need a lot of sun haha. Take care, looking forward to some new content
Great video! One note about the beaver tails… it’s M’eh-ple, like EH! as Canadians are stererotyped to say. (May-pull). Not MEHple as in MEH, this is blah 😂 Also, just looking at the chili oil on those dumplings made my morning coffee seem spicy 🥵
Victoria is one of our favorite places ever. We cruised the Hawaiian Islands for 5 days and traveled to Vancouver, Victoria, BC on an 11 day cruise. This is our favorite overall stops. We were happy watching all of your adventures throughout this series. We hope you continue sharing your cruising in other exotic places. We hope to try Europe someday. Italy, France, Greece are on our wish list. Thank you for the vlog.
Thanks so much Ted. We really enjoy cruising a lot and have one more to do this year and two next year including two to Europe! We will definitely bring the camera along!
We hope you enjoyed this cruise series. Please share your favorite part of the Alaska Cruise series with us!

Thank you so much! Next time it would be great to check out the gardens. It’s unfortunate that the timing is so tight in Victoria
My favorite Nurses! You guys Rock!
Thank you so much!
The opening picture of y’all in front of the Parliament was perfect lighting. Frame worthy photo.
Thanks Tom! Sometimes you get lucky I guess.

I am glad you enjoyed Victoria. I would love to take a cruise up to Alaska when I retire. Thanks for sharing.
You should!

Adorable little town. The national border was along the channel and I could see Victoria from my hometown.

Thank y’all so much for this! Will cruise this itinerary on NCL summer 2023, your series has been so helpful. I’m going for that salmon donut 😍 love from Texas

Haha thanks so much! So nice to end the trip off with some good food in Victoria, gotta get used to the heat, the chili oil is awrsome
Great review
Thank you so much
Hi nice video did they ask you for passport when you pass custom??
No we did not have to, just our sea pass cards
Pot sticker sauce is normally soy sauce and rice wine vinegar-you got the fried dumplings (always best tasting)
So good! Thank you
How long did it take you to venture around B.C.? We will only be there 5 hours.
We only had about that much. Would have enjoyed more time but we did all this in 5 hours. We walk pretty fast and had an idea of where we wanted to go

is a passport required for this stop?
You don’t need a passport to get off but you do to board the cruise ship at check in I believe.
My Alaskan cruise is in 5 days. Did you have cell phone service in Alaska or British Columbia?
Our cell phones did work when we got off the ship!
Who's your service through. If you don't mind me asking.
BTW, Josh, you're on the wrong side in this opening scene. Lol 😀
Haha we were shaking it up 😂
