The birth mom obviously thought highly of her ex and his new wife. And she loved her older children and her baby enough to want them together as a family. This family is acting out God’s love in every way possible! That cruise will be such an amazing memory for them!

These are my favorite stories. It proves to me how wonderful my God is. Even if people don't fully get your reasons, all you need to do is follow your heart. He'll handle everything else. It was intended for this to happen. I hope this family has a great time on the trip and I will be praying for them.❤😇🙏

Also giving the him the ex husband’s last name probably help show the court/foster care system that the ex wife wishes was for her ex and the his current wife to raise him.
It actually honestly made no difference. We still had to go through a process to make sure biology would step up first. After 17 months he was officially Werts . We thought the same at first ..

@alisharo58,,,YES you are absolutely missing EVERYTHING! WHY would it have been “irrational & mean” for them to have not adopted that child?? What if that child’s father wanted him, or that child’s father family wanted him, what would have happened then???
That couple was under no obligation to adopt that child. It’s weird, how analytical thinking, just seeing to escape some people.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Why didn’t she want to adopt ? Being in the foster care system she should understand and want to give a child love ❤️?
She maybe has trauma from it and sometimes that is hard to work through and maybe wasn’t ready to take on a child with trauma. I had a very traumatic childhood and it took me until I was in my 50’s to actually talk to someone and work through it. Unless you have survived trauma it can be very difficult to understand. I know I would have been a far better mother if I had dealt with my trauma early but at least my boys all survived and are very accomplished adults
in 2:15 she said they wanted to adopt the baby but they have to be foster parents first

First off he is not the bio dad. Second the courts did a DNA test and that bio dad sadly just went MiA . No bio family stepped forward so we adopted .

Half sibling - the ex-husband and wife were under no legal obligation His father could have taken him. It is a beautiful story of grace.
