Welcome to my home in El Salvador!!! Let me give you the house tour! :) This is my 6th home since moving to El Salvador but it is by far my favorite. I am so happy to be able to show you around. We are renting a 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom 2 story home 40 minutes outside of San Salvador (on a good traffic day). The complex provides 24 hour security as well as additional amenities including a pool, gym, playground, and tienditias. I really hope you enjoy the video and have an AMAZING day!

¡vuelvan y verán como están hoy las cosas y si usted quiere empezar a pagar una vivienda acá se puede hacer aún que ud no le habita pues pagar renta es un dinero hechado al saco roto nunca será suyo el inmueble mientras que si usted empieza a pagar la vivienda se paga sola eso hace mucha gente las adquieren y las rentan y pues obvio que es suya pero púes cada cual con su tema?
Perhaps the size of a saucer, but never seen one even spread out the size of a dinner plate. Some can jump a long way though and many are very poisonous.

I love that the multipurpose room has the opening to view everything downstairs! It's so open. My mom used to collect unique masks like that. We had them all over our house when I was little!
Thank you! That area was actually my only fear at first... my youngest 2 were much smaller when we first moved in. But the built in desk and gate my husband added fixed that for me 😁

Wow, the master`s bedroom is spacious and light. And all the other bedrooms too look great. You have a large area and the surroundings seen through the window is beautiful. You also have a good taste when it comes to display and decorations. Thank you for the fancy house tour. I enjoyed it.

We as Salvadorean it is normal to pay $105 per rent , because the salary per month is $360.
So to pay $500 it's so expensive for us 😬.

Yes I feel this....I am from San Diego but had to move to Washington when I was 21 because I couldn't afford to pay rent in California any longer....but I'm happy I did because that's when I got the Job that sent me here to El Salvador and I met Carlos :) Where about in Cali are you?

I live in Costa Rica currently and for that size home with all the little "luxuries" a house like that here would be well over a $1000.
I believe it. I have been to Costa Rica a couple of times and I loved it. Costa Rica is very beautiful but it was also more expensive than I had thought, but I can imagine the wages are higher there as well. What brought you to Costa Rica? How long have you been living there? :)

Hola! WOOOOWWWW!!! I live in Manhattan, NY and there are parking spaces that cost that much or more! CRAZY! It is Impossible to own or rent literally anything for that price here in NYC! by NYC standards you would be considered homeless and destitute, so many things wrong with the US!!! I was born in El Salvador, and am planning to return and invest there. Your videos are truly inspiring! Thank you for being honest and sharing your experiences in El Pulgarcito de Centro-America.
Yes it is crazy how much you need to make to survive on the US. For so many years I worked just to barely get by. There is no magic answer to that here in El Salvador either we still work really hard, but we have more time for what matters... Our family. I love that you will be investing back in El Salvador 💙

I've been to El Salvador a few times now and I love it. My wife wants to move back there and so do I. I have a good job here in Los Angeles, but I'm so tempted to sell my house and move to El Salvador. I really admire you for taking a chance in life and moving to en Salvador. @@ThatExpatMom Thanks for your reply. It just amazes me how in El Salvador the type of house you can get for just a fraction of the price here. We live in a tiny home that I bought some years ago because it was the cheapest at the time.
Unfortunately my job doesn't allow me to work remotely. I work for an airline at LAX. I've always thought about selling my house and buying a house close to El Tunco and using it as an Airbnb and buying another home for my family to live in. I guess I could always work at a call center off needed to be. By the way, San Diego is super nice, but it's so expensive. I love the proximity to Mexico.
