Hey so my bike starts when I spray carby cleaner into the spark plug hole but it dies after, I cleaned my carby and connected it all up still no luck have any idea on what else it might be?
I believe it's a tao Tao, but the motor is fairly universal. They made lots of these types of motors and slapped them on many different styles of bikes.
I have a 2017 SSR110 I just bought it recently, it died in gear and hasn’t ran or started since, I cleaned the carb, new coil and spark plug and it still won’t start please help if you can. Also the fuel filter little clear thing wont fill up, so I thought the fuel line was dirty but I took off the line and the fuel switch valve only lets gas flow on reserve I’ve tried to just turn on reserve and start it but it still won’t flow to the filter I have no idea what’s wrong with it
@@Jacobtheblooms no it ended up being the stator I’m pretty sure, I ordered a new one but I sold the bike before it even got delivered still got it in the box.
I have a problem which i really need to fix. The bike that i have in my profile picture is the bike that i own and have the problem on. It is a KTM 85 2-Stroke. The problem is that before i could easily start it with around 2-3 kicks maximum. Now, on this apperant day, i start the bike, good as normal, and it dies on me. I think weird, let me check the gas, the gas is ok but for good measure let me fill it up. I fill the bike up and try to start it again. It wont start, i clean out the brand new spark plug i got and it still wont start. I put the choke up and it has some life on the first kick. But then it gives up. Please help, i would apprechiate it dearly 😷
Ok. First, I should mention that you have a pretty nice bike. Since it dies after being started, the issue much be the carburetor. Clean it and blow it out with an air compressor. See my other video on how to clean a carb. Use fuel stabilizer because gasoline starts to break down over time, and bikes don't like that. Try that, and let me know.
Idk if u fixed it yet ... but also check ur ratio of gas and oil ur using. Too much oil and ur bike wont want to start due to it not burning all it , so maybe lower the ratio? Idk
My bike has a new carb im going to replace the plug the guy before was able to get it to start for a second with starting fluid any idea what it is theres no air filter ive ziptied a mower air filter to it i have a fuel petcock on its way cause it was broking
Ok I got to put carb back in maybe it's the pins not set idk this will be the second time cleaning the carb and there is oil leaks wen I attempted to start it
Check oil if over filled and milky will hydro lock that was why mine wasnt running i drained and put nee oil in and it fired just needs tinkering with carb
I have no idea. They're pretty universal in the sense that most 90cc Chinese bikes will use the same type of carb. Just Google "__cc carburator" and check images. Then compare your carb to the ones in the pics.
rubberduckman64 you probably have a bad Kickstarter. Or maybe the carb isn't good sending fuel through with only a few rotations of the crankshaft. Try a carb clean and maybe check your spark plug gap.
Update: I inspected the whole bike, and I saw coolant leaking from the bottom of the cylinder and noticed that there is no gasket, and while taking the cylinder off, the head gasket was fucked up and the cylinder had pretty bad grooves. At least I'll have something to do
rubberduckman64 ohh. It's a good idea to teardown, clean up and replace all the gaskets while you're at it. Hopefully it's still a salvageable motor, and you can get it up and going. What bike exactly do you have?
I have compression, spark, fuel and everything I need to start but it just will not. Any ideas. I'm wondering if it's not the timing or valves. Does anyone know the valve specs for a 50cc Chinese Kickstart? And Maybe what the spark plug gap should be set to?

My bike has spark and good compression. But it doesn’t start. After I cleaned out the carburetor it didn’t start again. Should I mess around with the fuel air mixture screw because I turned it when cleaning the carburetor?
Screw the screw all the way in, then back it out 2 and a half turns, this should set you in a working setting, the bike should start, then you just need to tweak the screw slightly from there, while the bike is running. This is how you tube a carb. Also things like, fuel getting inside the little plastic 🍩 donut inside the carb, this is called a float, it should be EMPTY. If there is fuel inside the donut, it will not float like its supposed to, and will not shut the fuel off, causing the bike to OVERFLOW fuel from the carb. Causing a no start issue with fuel leaking out. It's because the NEEDLE PIN that the float makes seal, cannot seal because a small bit of CRAP is trapped beside it and it needs cleaned, or the donut is letting fuel in and not floating up enough to force the NEEDLE PIN shut. Or possibly the whole metal wing needs tweaked so that it shuts the fuel off sooner, but this is a very last option, as very rarely does the full wing need tweaked, usually clean the needle or checking the float is all it needs. Also the brass jets with the tiny holes can be removed, and all the tiny holes can have a tiny sewing needle or a strand of speaker wire can be used to clean out the jets, this is very important, as tiny specs and I mean TINY TINY specs can cause issues, normally I spray with brake cleaner and use wire strand or an acupuncture needle works well. This is infact the most important thing you must do to your carb as soon as you begin to clean it. Following this advice, should save your CARB and keep it alive.
Remove the carb and spray a little gas into the hole. Then try to kick it over. Maybe the spark plugs gap is wrong or maybe your carb isn't actually good. Is it brand new?
@@blakebaker8895 hmm. thats a tough one. Id say that if your bike ran recently, then it could be an electrical problem. maybe not strong enough spark or maybe timing is off.
It's a Chinese copy of a Honda engine. Nearly all 110cc, 125cc, 140cc, 160cc, quads, pitbikes and buggies from China share these engines, if yours is a 50cc try looking for CRF50 Parts But if your cc is higher look for 4 stroke (number)cc engine parts
You can also get a cloth put it over the intake before the engine and after the carby then put your hand over the cloch and kick it softly and feel

I have a problem which i really need to fix.

Be careful with non original filters. It might suffocate the engine

My valves where not sealing and required me to rebuild the head, get a leak down test and check your valves and seats

Search up the type of carberator. Some of them have many different adjustment screws. You might need to make some adjustments or clean the carb

Yea spark plugs gap needs to be set properly

Yea thats what I would do. Play with the carb

Put a new carb check the spart plug still not turning on idk what is going on

My carb is only a month old was ran one time got pilot jet clogged so I cleaned everything replaced filter and now it still won't start
And it is a vm22 mikuni carb eich is a 26 mm
