Climate change may deleteriously intensify that, but a particular episode of fire is not necessarily a disaster, and may be beneficial. Just look at the way the vegetation of the sanctuary is flourishing one year after that scary fire. Occasional fire is very stimulating to grassland environments. I think that the fire they had has probably cause the sanctuary to put some thoughts into arrangements that will make future fires less threatening to the animals in the enclosures, like perhaps internal fire breaks, mowed strips that allow the animals to find escape zones, etc. In general, in fire dependent habitats, occasional fires keep the residual fuel load down, so that when fires do happen, they are less intense. Occasional planned burns can accomplish this.

Wow, the land covered in wild flowers so beautiful! Love these two. The handsome handsome Bobcat and the playful cheeky, with a smile on her face, Gabby who knows exactly what she’s doing to foil Kevin. This has always been my view for the future of the sanctuary and foundation, all that knowledge has to be used long into the future.

You're rehabilitation idea was inspiring to me ever since you first mentioned it. And I support it wholeheartedly. Even donations for food and staff and operations could still be ongoing. It's nice to support wildlife as a whole, but donating to one specific sanctuary for which you have proof they use it for best intentions is a whole new level of fulfilment. And if an occasional video drops, even filmed from afar or at surgery, that is just a sweet sweet bonus.
Hey Kev , I noticed today that you didn't have the truck and let Bobcat and Gabby out of the enclosure at least there was no casualties tires from Gabby's teeth . All though I love all of the cats and Hyenas at the sanctuary Bobcat and Gabby are my favourite cats ❤️ . It is great to see the land regenerating from the fires and now look lush and full of life and thriving thank god no one was injured all even worse killed during the fires . Thanks to you Kevin and your team educating people on the plight of the cats and other wild life and their habitats we will be able to enjoy these creatures in the wild for many years to come .

He's absolutely right, with his attitude about captive animals. Places like zoos for example, are no pleasure to visit, the poor things are bored out of their minds in a Zoo. Many people are very ignorant about the fact that Big Cats etc, need stimulus and variation in their lives. They are not here for us they have a life and function all of their own. Kevin has a great understanding of this and thank goodness for this because these animals he cares for have a good life.

I absolutely LOVE Gabby's personality 😆😆 she makes me laugh so hard with her little antics and her tire flattening habit!!! Bobcat is the perfect "roommate" for her with his calming demeaner as big brother lol. I love what you're doing with your sanctuary and o agree 100% with not breeding them. Its not right to breed lions only to keep them captive even as great of a sanctuary you are running.

Gabby is such a beautiful girl. I could tell by the look on her face she wanted to jump on you Kev and when you stopped her she thought "Right, we'll see about that". Then, Gabby's moment came. You wanted to go right so Gabby went left. What's not to love about that. Bobcat is so handsome and knew exactly how to put Gabby in her place. Watching them walk with you Kev is so pure. Good photography takes patience. Lots and lots of patience. The eyes are the window to the soul and in a photograph the eyes can tell a thousand stories. The future of the sanctuary and your foundation is a good one. All creatures will benefit when people like you Kev and the Doc are involved and a time out, rehab centre won't happen overnight but it will happen. He's absolutely right, with his attitude about captive animals. Places like zoos for example, are no pleasure to visit, the poor things are bored out of their minds in a Zoo. Many people are very ignorant about the fact that Big Cats etc, need stimulus and variation in their lives. They are not here for us they have a life and function all of their own. Kevin has a great understanding of this and thank goodness for this because these animals he cares for have a good life.

I absolutely LOVE Gabby's personality 😆😆 she makes me laugh so hard with her little antics and her tire flattening habit!!! Bobcat is the perfect "roommate" for her with his calming demeaner as big brother lol. I love what you're doing with your sanctuary and o agree 100% with not breeding them. Its not right to breed lions only to keep them captive even as great of a sanctuary you are running.

Gabby is such a beautiful girl. I could tell by the look on her face she wanted to jump on you Kev and when you stopped her she thought "Right, we'll see about that". Then, Gabby's moment came. You wanted to go right so Gabby went left. What's not to love about that. Bobcat is so handsome and knew exactly how to put Gabby in her place. Watching them walk with you Kev is so pure. Good photography takes patience. Lots and lots of patience. The eyes are the window to the soul and in a photograph the eyes can tell a thousand stories. The future of the sanctuary and your foundation is a good one. All creatures will benefit when people like you Kev and the Doc are involved and a time out, rehab centre won't happen overnight but it will happen. Thank you Kev for just being you, love and blessings to you and your team.

Firstly how amazing is the area now lots of lush greens just fantastic. Secondly the sanctuary is amazing for wildlife in general and to eventually be a place of rehabilitation and release is just wonderful I look forward being on the journey with you. Hello Kevin. Are you ever afraid of the lions? I know they are still a wild animal but I see the relationship you have with Gabby and Bob and they truly love you. I would give anything to spend the day with these beautiful and majestic cats. You are living my best life with them all. I can't even think about anyone of them passing on.
