What wonderful Lions they both are. Majestic, dignified and as Lion's ought to be . They have retained their natural disposition and not been turned into pets . That's how it should be but not every one keeps to these rules. These however are just who they should be, were meant to be .

I'd love to see a painting of that. Although they'd have to photo shop the various groups in the picture because Lions which are not part of a pride can fight with each other and tear each other apart. That's why Kevin can't just put Meg in with other Lions after Amy, her friend, passed away. Meg is probably a little lonely.
And the perfect artist to do that painting is Nick Sider! His animal paintings are magnificent!😉👍but Mick would need a photo of Kevin and his Lions,he only paints in his studio. That would be something to see trying to get all of Kevin's Lions together!🤣which he cannot do, because they'd fight being from different groups. It's a great idea,though.👍😊

Sweet, beautiful, Suja. He's magnificent. His skittishness reminds me of the lion in the story of "Androcles and the Lion." Easily frightened by little things. When you think of it, he's very smart to be wary. To get too laid back and trusting could bring you harm. On a side note, he looks so much like Icarus!
Suja has indeed the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. So attentive and sometimes fearful. He is unique in many many ways. He's probably my favourite lion in the sanctuary because I feel a special need to protect him. Thank you for also adding his roar - you didn't do so bad yourself, but the lions sometimes truly do speak for themselves :P

Suja and Bongani are beautiful boys, their manes are gorgeous! 😍The hyenas were wondering what's wrong with Kevin, awwww! Suja found the most perfect spot in the shade, and Bongani's face staring at the hyena was not happy. 🦁💓💖

Lying in hospital recovering from major surgery 2 days ago. I follow Kevin and the lads religiously. I always had a soft spot for poor Suga and Bongani and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for all these amazing videos Kevin and team ❤💙❤
Love how they just plop down on the ground. Think they are pacing themselves. Can tell it is a hot day! Do you ever come across snakes or anything dangerous on your walks? The lions would protect you i truly believe. I do worry for you sometimes though never knowing what could be out on your walks. Be safe!!

I love these lions so much! Bongoni seems to accept Suja as he is and has such patience with him. A true friend! It's funny to think lions have little personality quirks like humans, but that's what makes them interesting! ❤️ I assume Suja is still skittish around Meggy? 😂
Suja and Bongani are two of my favourite lion duos . Haven't seen them for a little while. Both seem like such lovely interesting characters. They are both in such great condition for 17 year lions they are doing fabulous. All credit to staff at the sanctuary. Great to see them👏

Suga is like the lion in The Wizard of Oz. He ended up discovering that he was really brave and not cowardly at all. A very endearing character.
