An important interview that allows anyone to share Dr. Molot's message with their family doctors and other treating physicians. A great overview and update on the medical status of MCS. The lack of peer review resources for expert medical and educational recommendations and advancements while, at the same time, the level of toxic exposure and the health consequences for people of all ages are escalating, is a costly Catch-22 for everyone. For anyone looking for another way to help raise awareness in a direct and fundamental way.

I listened to this one on Podbean yesterday I didn't know you were on TH-cam, I just found your podcast.
As someone who has just recently been diagnosed by my family doctor with MCS, but I've been suffering for over a dcade! She tried to refer me to the WCH Environmental Health Clinic, I must say I'm very disapointed and deflated by our Ontario healthcare system these days. The wait for the Environmental Health Clinic is nearly 3 years! What am I supposed to do in the meantime? Not that I have any clue what they'll be able to do for me even if I can get in to see a practitioner there. I'm completely exhausted by my life. I'm extremely sensitive to fragrance, and had to fight at work for a scent free policy. And I have had to endure co-workers yelling at me, acusing me of all sorts of nefarious things, *threatening* me, and still, there are people in the office who use fragrance, despite reminders from management. I sit in my office with the door closed, with my air purifier on, and have to wear a mask that filters some of the fragrance, whenever I leave my workspace.
I have been handwashing my laundry in the bathtub now for 2 years. I used to have my own washer and dryer in my own condo, but I had to sell it because I couldn't afford it on my own anymore. I can't use public washing machines and dryers, and I can't afford the one and only frangrance free laundry service in the city. I live in a rental apartment so I can't legally have my own washing machine in my unit. I'm tired. I am too old and don't have much in the way of marketable skills to find another job, and don't have the energy to go through getting an employer to enact a scent free policy. This is the second employer I've had to go through this, and each time it is demoralising and painful. I certainly can't afford to go on disability, nobody can live on what you get on disability. And certainly can't find an affordable (ie: below market rent) apartment with an in suite washer/dryer.
Where do we find support for things like doing laundry, and getting a hair cut? I haven't had a hair cut since 2019 because I can't go into a salon because of fragrances. Whether from the shampoos, or from the laundry products, or perfumes the other people in there might have on. Maybe WCH EHC could help us out with services such as these, like opening a dedicdated fragrance free laundromat, for those of us who can't use public washing machines, and can't have them in our rental apartments. And a hair salon to get our hair cut by a dedicated fragrance free professional, rather than chopping away at it myself. I would go downtown to WCH to do my laundry if I was guaranteed there is no fragrance in the machines!
