Simply put, the Rocket Appartamento is a compact espresso machine designed for environments where space is at a premium. It is a hx coffee machine with pressurestat, vibrating pump coffee machine made in Milan Italy. Rocket engineers optimised the chassis and layout of the internal components without compromising on the quality and features you expect from Rocket Espresso. We figured you would want to know a little more about the Rocket Espresso Giotto so here we go...
The Rocket Appartamento is based on the early model Giotto has become an iconic home espresso machine since the 1990's where Ennio Berti had a strong belief that the world is ready for a coffee revolution. The main difference being the Appartamento is smaller and uses slightly simpler technology, such as a pressurestat rather than a PID. One gauge instead of two, simpler body panelling, etc. So it's basically a detuned Giotto. Starting at the very end of the process, by creating the perfect espresso, the engineers work in reverse to create the ultimate espresso machine. Purpose built with the very best in traditional craftsmanship and technical knowledge, all to reflect the commercial machine experience at home. Yet everything about it is meticulously redesigned.

Nice. Question ... Have a expobar office leva, rebuilt twice still hot as. Yes, on 3rd pressure stat at lowest n still at 1.3. Looking at lelit mara x, vibiemme domobar junior and this one. I like simple, tough, consistent n long lasting. Without overheating. What would you recommend, that has the features of the expobar?

what would be great on the Appartamento, which I've owned for 5 years and am delighted with, even though it's been returned to the after-sales service 3 times (admittedly for little things, but it's annoying), would be to be able to "upgrade" it, for example: install a PID, fit a rotary pump, install a Flow Control system (salespeople have advised me against fitting the ECM or Bezzera system).

Do you recommend this machine for a small coffee shop?

Thank you for the review! The circles on the nero version (4.54) look quite misaligned, e.g. the bottom left circle looks much closer to the row above it than the other two circles. Is that really the case or is it just an optical illusion?

I own a rocket boxer 2 group, and the workmanship, fit n finish is pretty rough... very obviously hand finished. Not saying it's a bad thing, some may say it's a part of it's charm

Good day brother. I’ve recently got myself an Appartamento and Faustino grinder. I’ve tried two separate sets of beans at 18-20g on all the grind settings and my espresso flow is still way too fast. Need some advice

Thanks for your question, More then likely your coffee grinds are not fine enough and passing through too quickly. A few methods to try is adjusting your grind settings on your grinder, tamping slightly harder and try grabbing some fresher coffee beans. :)

I had the rocket appartamento. Very good machine but than I changed it and bought the new Bezzera Aria (the PID and flow control version, there is also a basic one without flow control and pid). If the appartamento was a very good machine, the Bezzera is an amazing machine, not the same price tough xD. I suggest to try the Bezzera Aria if you can.

@@back_to_the_bike8820 yes, because it's not loud, it's very silent, it offer a consistent pressure and it's more durable, but , of course, it's more expensive.

Not having owned any of these two, I have to say that the black Rocket version looks much nicer. It seems like it is built like a tank, too. In what ways is Bazzera superior? Prices are comparable as of writing this.

No to both questions. Only black version has these features.

Incorrect. I have the SS version and it has both.

Wish this had pid and pressure gauge

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be cool :)
Although PID and pressure gauge are in the following models up: the Giotto and Mozzafiato.
Rocket excluded it from the Appartamento to bring down the price-point.

You can buy an external pressure gauge (and/or a temperature gauge) to screw into the front of the group head - replacing the screw that plugs the hole on the front. You can find them online. If your machine was adjusted correctly in the factory (to 9 bars), then I'm not sure how useful a pressure gauge would be. I'm keen to get a temp gauge sometime, to see how long I need to flush for to get the brew temp in the right range. (But yeah ... pid would have been next model up. I went the Appartamento too.)
