AlterBridge has tons of heavy sounding stuff! They always have a strong melodic component to their heavy music too.
They have some ‘softer’ ballads here or there - which showcase Myles Kennedy’s great voice, yet the instrumentation is always epic. Maybe that’s what you heard more of in the past re AlterBridge?
But, they really kick ass alot too and their albums are all very strong and diverse, and all great listens start to finish. Excellent, well rounded band of musicians!
The thing is that the softer songs are the most iconic and great songs

There is nothing the matter with Creed’s music, but AB is very different. Creed ended 18 years ago, other than one reunion album. Myles contribution completely changed the direction of the band musically. AB is much more complex, sophisticated, and technically better now in all aspects of their music. IMO, the best rock band of this century.

Over a decade ago my world broke down. When I was getting up again, I did something I liked to do way before that. I bought a DVD of WrestleMania 23. And then after then other PPVs of that time. I did not like Edge at first, because I was always the good boy back then. But after some time and watching a lot of matches of him, I realized you don't have to be the good guy all the time. In those dark time I had my family, my friends and I had Edge. I changed my ways and now I live better (and not being a total ass). To remember that, I got Edge's logo tattooed on my right shoulder. So, Edge (or Adam portraying him) from the bottom of my heart: "Thank you

You say that but this man is beloved by millions so many people got into this band because of how much edge is a great person and has been throughout so many lives growing up. So much so the reaction to it is an instant cheer from everyone in a building.
