What bits are you using? Even using oil and trying to step up slowly, it’s taken me hours to drill 2 hours with Milwaukee hard steel bits. At this rate it’ll take days.
Step drill worked good for me in the back, the front was toughest to drill had to use a 3/8 carbide bit to finish. The material in the front is tough ate through my bits .
@@1gunrack Yeah, same. Once I got through the front 4, rest were pretty reasonable. I found the Irwin black oxide bits worked a lot better than the Milwaukee.
Will it really fit a 2024 model zr2 ? And how much hieght does it add ?
For drill bits, Matco DBC29HSRMS. The 3/8” lasted for all 12 holes and got replaced under warranty after drilling.
DBCHS16S 1/4” and follow up with the DBCHS24S 3/8” if you just want to buy two.
