do a cleaning up on the side and cut a door farther down on container so you can come out of camper go through the other side and and go through door to the back part behind the camper
That's a tight squeeze coming out of the trailer door. I'm guessing by now you've moved things from in front of the steps and have made a wider path to the back barn door. At least the tradeoff for tight quarters is you'll be dry and much warmer this winter. That in itself has to feel comforting.
Thank you. We definitely have made more room walking out of the Rv and are working on making that space more comfortable as we work on the solar room. Even Ryder has gotten use to the tight space and squeezes through to the back door! 😊~L
I don't think you could have come any closer, WOW ! but you will be warmer for the winter...and it feels like it's gonna be a cold one The nieghbers are going to think you left 😏 Thanks for sharing OXOX
Wow, such patience and skill, but ya got it in there! Wondering how difficult it'll be to cut the one container while the RV is in there - it's so tight and can be hard to work around. Whatever you decide, wishing the very bet for you guys!
@Jayling After traveling for almost a year, we got really good at parking the RV, without an argument. Anyone who RV's, knows exactly what I'm talking about 🤣 We have adjusted to the tight quarters quite well, and Ryder will even squeeze through the tiny walkway to get to the back door 🙌🏼 It would definitely be difficult to cut more of the container out, without pulling the RV forward a bit. Thanks for the comment and the encouragement 🫶🏼 ~T
Battery bank facing invertor for better door access with shelving unit there. That's a great solar setup! Expensive or competitive? Where did you purchase it from? Have you considered sealing or painting your subfloor to protect it from moisture until you get weather tight? Thanks for sharing
Thank you. Yep, that’s how I think we will set the battery bank. We got our solar system from signature solar. I set up an all victron system in our Rv. Works perfectly but with the house being on this, we needed to have an all in one split-phase inverter. This new inverter also has 3 mppt inputs built in which is perfect for our setup. Very clean and simple. It really is a great all in one inverter. We went with advantech subfloor for our build because it can be out for a year unprotected and be ok. It has a 500 day no sand guaranty! We will start the framing soon and hope to have it dried in this spring. ~L
Cut a door out on the container that you have to squaze through so that you can walk through there ,and move items over so that you can step into the other container ,instead of squeezing through there where you have too. now.
@williamsneedjr4129 yeah we could have definitely made it bigger and in hindsight we probably would have made it a few feet bigger. The main reason is the 2x10 rafters only came 20 ft long so if we would have made it wider, that would have had to be a larger framing member. Also it’s just for the winter while we build the house, so it just needs to get us by this year! ~L
@erwinaddison2030 The first day was pretty nice. We definitely miss seeing all the wildlife, and the chickens, but this will only be for the Winter.
