I think it’s disgusting that the child was allowed to protest like that.
A small child shouldn’t be involved in that, shame on the grandmother for allowing that.

    - He was 54 years old and she was 24
    - She was only 9 years older than his daughter
    - Wife was dead less than a year and his daughter needed him
    - He married someone after he's known them for 13 days because she was hot and young
    - looks like she attempted to get away a few times and he 'desperately ' tried to get her back
    - looks like he kind of prioritized this young girl over his daughter

She had this planned from day one. Couple of questions first: 1) Where did the new ring guy or 'fiancé' disappear to? 2) What was waiting in Maryland? Now, to my red flags (other than the obvious age difference, ballet stuff, kid, etc.): 1) The letter. It was obviously an attempt to lay the foundation for an alibi. How many letters has a woman her age even written in her lifetime? How many times does she repeat the same thing over again in the letter. Hand delivered, too. 2) Luring him to Florida. This was likely because of the gun laws in Florida and their 'stand your ground' and 'castle doctrine' gun laws which are more favorable to the homeowner or gun holder than in many states. And he would be considered an 'intruder'. 3) Mom taking the kid to the park during attack. Just a bit too convenient. 4) Money. EDIT: He led her on to believe he had more money than he really did and once she realized this, it was plan B.

Didn't they say in part 1 that her mother was quick to take her daughters side and claim that Doug was being abusive and had them scared, yet in court, they made it look like the mother had no idea of what was going on. Also, she just happens to leave moments befo4e her daughter shot Doug. I'm sure the mother and daughter planned this out ahead of time.

Trigger warning:.... idk if Doug was abusive to the extent that she says, but I will say that an abuser does not have to hit you or be physical with you in order to make you fear for your life. I had a boyfriend at one time that would do everything but hit me or anything that would leave a mark on me and there were some nights where I definitely feared for my life. He would push me on to the bed, climb on top of me and put his fist in my face, he told me that his brother would be willing to help him hide a body if he ever needed, he lifted his bicycle which he kept in the living room and put a hole in the ceiling with the tire, he grabbed me by my arm (the one bruise he did leave) and put his first in my face. one time when I was getting out of the car he took my arm and put my wrist over the steering wheel like he was going to use it to brake my wrist, he spit in my face...Just to name a few. But I can tell you thinking back on those events, even as real and truthful as they are, there is very little chance I would be able to reenact it accurately for anyone. The fear doesn't allow it. There is no way I would be able to remember detail of how he was facing, where his hands were at each moment, etc or even what made him mad at the time. I never had a weapon to defend myself. I would just shut down or do what I had to in order to appease him to get through it until it was over. If I did have a weapon at that time, idk what I would have done in those moments of terror. So who knows if anyone would believe me after the fact if I did have the means to defend myself. A lot of people think, well if he was abusive then why didn't you just leave? Leaving is scary. I tried many times. Thats when he became the most scary actually. And on top of that, there are good moments like that video of them laughing while playing that game. There are good moments that make you think maybe things are going to change. But those good moments don't mean the abuse didn't happen. I also never told my mother even though I was living with her at the time. I didn't tell my friends either at the time either. I was too ashamed. I was embarrassed. After the relationship was over, the mutual friends (we were in college) we had that I did tell, they either didn't believe me or didn't care. Not telling people close to you, does not mean the abuse didn't happen. Not reporting it doesn't mean the abuse didn't happen.

Weird case. A man marrying a young woman shortly after meeting her for the first time and shortly after his first wifes death without telling his daughter doesn't seem quite sane to me. Also shooting a gun to stop an argument and punching his own dog shows that this man had a mental problem. Why would the woman quit her dream of a ballett school and leave her husband? There must be a reason for that. On the other hand: there is a possibility for her being a narcissist too. It's complicated. I hope both daughters will have a good life.
