Watching you watercolor, because of your choice of black, which years ago we were told never to use black, mix your darks and never use white, leave the paper bare.
I finally bought Faber Castell Graphite Aquarelle pencils.
They are such fun ! They're like watercolor pencils but they are regular pencils too it reminds me of the effect you can get when you blend a charcoal drawing without the mess! The precision of a pencil, the fluidity of watercolor and the rich smokiness of charcoal!
😂 Now I'll keep watching to learn how to do buildings and cars.... I'm working on houses right now.
A tutorial on how to sketch cars from different angles would help if you want to do that.😊

Great painting! I really liked the subject. It's a scene I see every day in town, but had no idea how to sketch and paint it. Usually, I stick to flowers and landscapes. This inspires me to try painting something more urban.

Not for beginners, that 8 color set runs at least $30, it's fabulous paint but for beginners, there are better options.

I can tell you're already seeing past the pencil marks you're making on the page as you add them. It's kind of a beautiful thing to behold, ...once you know about it. If you had Art for sale, I'd buy it.

Yeah, people don't realize that mini 8 is the French Artist's paints ... the Sennelier PRO paint. Plus that little brush has a tip like a rigger. (I love that little brush)

@@niazhannanwatercolors Poor color choice. Just one yellow and one red, 2 shades of green that no one really needs, like black. The better choice would have been a second yellow and red instead of the two greens (e.g. Yellow Ochre, Raw Sienna, Magenta) and Indigo or Payne's Gray instead of black. And the transparent lid is (almost) useless as a palette for mixing (new edition seems to have a complete white lid). All in all not worth the money (29$ at Jackson‘s)
@@heinundpietlol, those are an 8 set of their pro paints for you to have fun with .... excellent selection... now go buy the 12 set (Pro) or whatever colors you're complaining about for $30.
@@UJB123Sennelier is without a doubt a very good brand, and in order not to be unfair, I took a closer look at the box. The colors included in this box (the information is not easy to find):
Primary Yellow 574, French Vermilion 675, Ash Blue 344, French Ultramarine Blue 314, Light Phthalo Green 805, Sap Green 819, Burnt Umber 202, Payne Gray 703.
So it's not black, but Payne's gray (as I recommended). Contrary to the video title that recommends this box for beginners, it is not. The choice of colors is unsuitable for a beginner to learn how to mix properly. Instead you would need warm and cool yellows, reds and blues, and for a set of 8, additional 2 earth tones.
And the box still has the useless transparent lid (the opened transparent lid just looks white against the white background). Therefore (in my opinion), regardless of the quality of the colors, for a beginner the box is not worth the money and unsuitable.

The only thing that keeps be back from purchasing that watercolor set is the lack of a magenta 😢 I can make my own sap green. Give me a vibrant rose or magenta or fuchsia. 💔
Try mixing these👉🏼 cool red+blue purple+red pink+purple
Or you can just mix one ....
I have that set of paints and I don't like using them. They miss a cool red and a cool yellow and include a black, which you can mix yourself. 2 greens are redundant as well because you can mix them easily. I bought this in the beginning of my watercolour journey and knowing what I know now, I would never buy this set again.

I thought it was like these Chinese art brands that are design inspired by good art brands like Giorgione watercolour pencils that looks like art grip from Faber-Castell
Very nice work. But I fail to see how this shows that the paints used are worth use. The basic tonal effect is wonderful in your style and the painting. But your point is lost.

Directly from Sennelier €18.51/$19.95 (but shipping only takes place for a minimum order value of €50/$53.88) At some german art shops and eby € 21 to € 25. At Jackson’s $29. $82 is way, way too much.
Click Bait. I'm starting to wonder if the money/sales from you tube is getting the better of people recommending products that they benefit from, as in commission or other means. It takes the trust out of TH-camrs and start to lose interest, then their views goes down. Only my opinion, but when i see other professional watercolour paints in the market, for the money, you question what you say . Thanks.

I also felt this was a clickbait title. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your video, but also felt I didn't get the content I clicked on (the ‘this is why’ part) plus it's a really cliche clickbait title. Then again, I clicked and continued watching knowing 99% I wasn't going to get that answer 😂 I really dislike this sort of titles, but I think they can be fixed. I would have dropped the ‘This is why’ and only kept the ‘Best Budget ..’. I would have still clicked on it, but wouldn't end up being bothered by the title 😅 Nothing wrong with your content, just people are tired of ‘This is why’ titles 😅
