I just made my first street scene! Thank you so much! I'm thrilled with it. Buildings and cars have always been difficult for me so I've avoided painting them my whole life.
My son loves cityscapes, urban paintings, I do landscapes trees, water, mountains, not a problem animals people not a problem but I wanted to do a special painting for my son he recently moved out, he also likes sepia watercolors.
So that was my two challenges and I nailed it!!! It's matted and framed and ready to go!
I have you to thank for it you have an amazing way of communicating how to do it.
Do you do graffiti styles? I wanted to do a building with grafitti but I haven't nailed the graffiti look yet. 😊

This is one of the most beautiful paintings I've ever seen. Loose, intuitive ... SO good!
Also, this could have been an unintentional ASMR video with the soft music and thunderstorm background. I now live in the Pacific NW of the US and we don't get thunderstorms often at all. They were like a lullaby when I lived in the south. Thunderstorms meant that I'd go into my room and nap voluntarily if it was daytime. Slept really well if it was during the night. It was bliss.

It's a tutorial without being a tutorial. I also have a travel set of colors. You don't have to clean the pans! Don't waste paint! You also don't have to clean the mixing area. Don't waste paint. You used reds and blues ... lay folks don't generally understand that there are hundreds of colors of black and grey.
I would have loved it if the first view I had was the finished product. But watching you paint it, while the rain fell, I felt it in my soul. And my heart sang.

Always fun to see you play and turn out such a moving, atmospheric painting. (I had to look twice because I thought I saw a body hanging from one of the street lights😳 but you wouldn’t do that intentionally. )
I kind of love it for its satirical sense with the (again, unintentional) hangman and those gorgeous tiny birds roosting in the rain. I wish I could buy it on a poor man’s budget!
