There's no reason why anyone should buy a ticket to an A's game in 2024.
I'm with you on that one. I boycotted my favorite team last year and will not attend another game again.
The boycott won't matter. The Coliseum is only a 1-year stopgap (whether anyone shows up or not). It's possible opposing fans will fill some of the seats.
@@JamiesonPercad What's the point of putting money in the pocket of an owner that hates the fanbase and took their team away from them? Especially when the team is going to be awful. Yeah, a boycott isn't going to change anything, but supporting the team isn't going to change anything either. The Oakland A's are dead, might as well burry them early.
What they’ve shown us is that if public funding isn’t offered to finance their stadiums, MLB doesn’t consider it a deal. Manfred can kick rocks.
Outstanding work, Brodie!
Always shocked that your well crafted videos don't receive more views. Love your videos, Brodie. Keep up the good work. So terribly sorry about your A's, What a crumby situation all around.
I’m beyond heartbroken

Remember. Giants almost went to Tampa
Sacramento kings were out the door. We need help. Fisher and family etc are evil ba$tards.
They are disgusting for doing what they have done. He is a giants fan still hurt from 1989.
His plan the whole time was to do this and we all know it. Ppl that say it’s fan attendance etc have never been a part of this until this year
There is no way Oakland should let them continue to play in Oakland past 2024. F 'em.
Many things about Manfred’s statements I find appalling.
1. Waiving the no relocation fee sets a very dangerous precedent for the future. If a team wants anything from the city they’re in and doesn’t get it, then relocation would be an option because they could get what they want without paying relocation fee.
2. Like you mentioned Brodie, the A’s had a backup plan in case Howard’s Terminal bombed. They had the Coliseum site and land around the Coliseum and they didn’t use it.
3. Since John Fisher was not transparent about the process, I truly believe Manfred pushed for Vegas all along and told the team to waste money for optics.
Oakland should sue. On MLB malfeasance on tax paying if relocation fees are waived and leases can be broken
💯💯💯
@@williamerazo3921What lease is broken? The Coliseum lease ends in 2024. And I presume their anti-trust exemption helps cover their ability to move franchises at their wishes.
The relocation fee was never on the table for this particular situation. Manfred not only gave his blessing to look in to LV…it was his recommendation. Whether the league just thought Vegas was a preferred destination or they genuinely felt that there was no TRUE path to getting a deal done at HT…the A’s weren’t just packing up and leaving on a whim.
If the White Sox just decide they’d rather move to San Antonio and broke a lease and gave Chicago no true effort to keep them…that situation would 100% have a fee.
Fully agreed. I do believe Manfred and Fisher never wanted to stay in Oakland. The only way Manfred could get away with waving the relocation fee. Was to have Fisher put forward projects in Oakland, that where set up to fail. The Laney college being an example of that.
Vegas folks hope you enjoy the John Fisher experience.
That's the rub, even the other owners acknowledge Fisher might sell after his stadium gets built in Vegas. If that happens, Fisher will be out of the picture leaving open an opportunity for a competent ownership group to buy the A's and actually spend money to try and build a solid fanbase & actually compete for championships in Vegas
@@atommy4625 Hope that happens but this guy is all ego and people thought the same about Mark Davis and Dean Spanos. Both just took loans out on their new sky high evaluations.
@@atommy4625 🤮
Hmmm. You mean the "experience" you have been bitching abouy all this time begging them to stay in Oakland?🤔😂🤣.
This sucks. I’m not a A’s fan and I hate seeing a team leave like this. If I were the City of Oakland I’d tell Fisher to kick rocks now and figure out where he’s gonna play.
Brodie! Thanks for being on top of this. You do an excellent job for exposing the nonsense.
Pinocchio looks good in comparison to these two liars.
I cant wait to see the attendance in 2024...gonna be a rpugh year and they deserve it.
I heard they may set some tailgate records though?
Fisher deserves it; The players don't.

Manfred makes himself so easy to hate man I can’t stand this guy
build that stadium anyway Oakland have it ready for someone like Lacob to push for an expansion team.
lol we waived a relocation fee for a broke bastard to encourage support from locals. Maybe this will allow him to invest more money into the team? Laughable.
Rob manfred looked so awkward and nervous answering questions and not accurate at that his whole thing is a 100% scam
Sorry but I hate baseball now… I really hope ratings tank like they already are. Commission and A’s owner are both full of crap.
Look at the sd chargers of Inglewood for what’s about to happen with the A’s. They’re going to have zero home fans, number 200 on the things to do list in lv like the chargers are in la. At least dean spanos kept the chargers in Southern California. This is a monstrous mistake. LV would’ve embraced their own expansion team. Not another persons trash
Remember when the Chargers moved to LA they paid 550 million for the relocation fee and they had to play at the Carson soccer stadium 90 percent was for the opposing team the A's are facing the same fate as the Chargers
That's been my thought as well. And Jeffrey Loria, who ended up ruining the MLB experience in BOTH Montreal AND Miami.
SD refusal to build a new stadium is the primary reason the Chargers left. I remember a certain vote relating to a new stadium being defeated not too long before the move happened. The NFL made it clear the Chargers old stadium was no longer satisfactory.
@@JamiesonPercad that's correct. But at the last minute Dean designed that measure c vote to fail because he made it only within sd city proper vote not the county which of course failed 43% because of the 2/3rds majority rule if he had waited to the 50+1 vote it would've passed. Instead he is in major debt with this move because his projections are far less than he expected.
@@JamiesonPercad wrong. Mission valley was approved and shovel ready for the chargers to build a new stadium there. Spanos wanted to build only a stadium dt which made zero sense since that space would block all the views of expensive priority there, and the number of events in that stadium made zero sense in that area. Now the Aztecs are playing games at mission valley in a brand new stadium there where the chargers could’ve been playing right now. Similar actually to this one where fisher could build at the coliseum but refused to only have it be on the water.
This is why rich people suck. Once they get on top they become paranoid. Manfred is the definition of a puppet
I hope the team goes to Nevada in 2025 or ASAP. I want the new fan base to experience the losing, gutted team they forced upon Oakland
Money will definitely be spent now that the A's are leaving. The team won't be that bad in Vegas.
I doubt that. Fisher owns the SJ Earthquakes. Got a new stadium. And doesn't spend anything to provide a solid product on the field. Dude got a new stadium, and has the audacity to state that PayPal Park is 'Outdated' because there isn't enough luxury boxes for his pockets to be filled.@@JamiesonPercad
If Tampa Bay was smart, they would dump Tampa and move to Oakland and take the new stadium deal there. Immediate upgrade in terms of major market and the work's already been done to plan for the ballpark.
That’s really a great suggestion.
Honestly, I'm here for it. I'd love nothing more than a new team to move into Oakland, and for Fischers experiment to fail miserably in the desert
The Oakland Rays 😂
Great idea @ZZsmithreal!! 💡
As a Rays fan it makes sense and could work

I'm 1:13 in and I don't even need to hear all of Rob Manfred required annoying nonsense speech LOL... I'll say this I'm a Royals fan but I do enjoy you following this mess with the A's Brody.... at the end of the day baseball and the A's owner they seen what the Las Vegas Raiders have done so at the end of the day it's business and they just don't give a damn!! They think they'll fill up the park in Vegas for years and years to come.. Manfred and the owners look at fans as suckers 😔 Quite obvious the Raiders were the guinea 🐷 for the market of Vegas....just my opinion though who knows 🤷
Every fan should be thankful and also fearful
Be thankful this is not your team and heart right now
Be fearful you’re next.
Brodie this was a tough one for me to watch. Making my blood boil.
Funny lol
If Fisher all of a sudden starts spending a competitive amount of money in Vegas, it makes the idea that he purposely tanked in Oakland in an effort to relocate even more real. He's in a lose/lose situation here, except for the fact the slime ball of a commissioner couldn't care less
We all forgot that was no real effort to stay in Oakland. The dude been trying to move out of Oakland for the past 10 years with the San Jose with the Fremont so far so far and then stipulated. He wanted a billion stadium that he was going to finance yourself and then what he came back with the plan. It was a 12 billion plan. He made a project that was so hard to reach because he had no intention of staying. The man don't even have the money to build a 12 billion project. If I was Oakland I'll see both of them in court it was a scam from the start
Put Joe Lacob in front of the line for a new expansion team in the O , AND give him a discount like Fisher had his relocation fee waved.
The most incompetent owner in all of North American professional sports, and that's saying a lot. A substandard small ballpark in a hot tourist location with too many dates where most people already root for the Dodgers. Great potential! LOL
He is tied with Dean Spanos for worst owner in sports
I'm done with MLB for a good while. I can't believe i actually watched them speak. I honestly didn't think i could do it. I probably couldn't have in real time, lol. But you stopping when you knew they were straight up lying definitely helped me out lol. And damn... so many reporters have REAL questions...i wish they would have let them absolutely have it. Hell, I wish Trevor May were there to say some stuff. When players know what's up, while Manfred just KEEPS on spitting on the fans of Oakland and saying it's the fans' fault... freakin PLAYERS even understood what was going on. And other past players have stated that Fisher has never been in the business of actually trying to field a good team and keep it together
I had to revisit this video just to watch Manfred tie himself into 1000 knots trying to duck and dodge addressing all of the holes that are in this process.
So Fisher and MLB expect the general public to pick up the tab for them to build the stadium? The state leaders in Nevada are dumb for giving them the money, the public money to fully fund the stadium. Fisher drove the Raiders out of Oakland due to him owning (alongside with the city) half the land, Fisher completely gutted the team, not giving extensions to the key players that really wanted to stay but refused to spend his money to keep them. I am a Bay Area sports fan and it sucks to see the Raiders and now the A's are going to leave, I still can't believe that Manfred waived the relocation fee for this dumb of an owner, John Fisher
This whole thing can be summed up in three words: quid pro quo
There's no doubt there were no plans to stay in Oakland.
Sounds like the other owners got “volentold” by the Commish
Remember Manfred is the same guy who let the players from the Astros skate with immunity concerning the well known sign stealing scandal but I regress.
16:43 AKA Larry King question.
A Question, Did John Fisher or Dave Kaval ever meet with present Oakland mayor or part of her staff??
bout as unaimous like those sold out minor leauge games in vegas's affilate currently. Totally sold out. Totally unanimous. Making sure I never watch baseball again. Yep.
Also, it probably won't happen, but major league baseball's antitrust exemption needs to be revoked.
Oh Manfred so the A’s and MLB did all that you could to keep the A’s in Oakland. Oh pleeeeease. The A’s spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get a new ballpark all over the East Bay and even the South Bay. None of these plans never went anywhere. Oh if the Howard Terminal plan was only for the ballpark that would of be approved much sooner and Fisher would not of had to raise over $6 Billion for the project. And as Brodie said the Coliseum site was always an option and was probably the best option. Especially once the A’s brought 50% ownership of the land that the coliseum sits under. However the A’s really never wanted to build a ballpark at their current location unless Howard Terminal failed. However they decided to move to Las Vegas even though they could of had a deal with the city of Oakland in a couple of months if that. So no the A’s didn’t do all that they could do to keep the A’s in Oakland. Of course Manfred is going to only say good things about John Fisher since Fisher is one of the individuals who got him the job that he has in the first place. It’s a fact that we fans have to get used to. Whether we like it or not. Oh well this crown show is just sickening and MLB is still going to make a lot of money because most fans don’t care. However I am not happy about this. Anyway have a great day.
Oh and here we go again tourist traffic, you cannot rely upon tourist traffic to sustain a MLB team. You will need to rely upon the local fan base in order to even come close to a sellout. There will be times when tourist traffic will increase attendance, such as when AZ, the New York Mets and Yankees Boston Red Sox and the Southern California teams are playing. Otherwise tourist traffic isn’t going to do you much at all.
Investment. Tell me how relocating the A’s to Las Vegas is such a great investment for MLB and the other franchise owners? This is a very risky investment considering that we have no real data on the success of professional baseball in Las Vegas. If you want a more sound investment for MLB and the owners wouldn’t Mexico City work out so much better. It is the most populated city and one of the most populated metro areas in North America. Mexico City is risky as well but no where near as risky as Las Vegas. But even by Las Vegas standards this relocation is very very very risky.
Oh when Manfred was talking about the reasons why he waived the relocation fee for the A’s I literally started laughing because they’re very weak as Brodie mentioned.
28:39 And Oh Manfred laughing at a journalist during a press conference. Of course. Boy it isn’t like we have seen that before, right Rob.
It has taken me a few days to get up the courage to watch this without literally becoming ill. Feeling in my gut how misguided these guys are. I don’t know how this will end. I am praying for my own strength to just not waste any energy on these jerks.
Manfred gave it away when he said they made efforts to stay in the East Bay out of respect for the Oakland fans.. What he really meant was those efforts were to PACIFY the fans. It's just so obvious.
Thanks for doing this Brodie. The BS coming from these guys is stinking up the whole west coast.
How many people will lose jobs over this? No one at the mlb seems to care.
There will be a transfer of jobs to Vegas.
So taking someone’s job away to give it to someone else is better?
@@justinmorado9525It ain't a loss.🤷♂️
Just as you said the strategy for winning Monopoly is “spend money to make money”. It is a sad time for A’s fans they deserve better, and I hope they don’t show up. At the end of it all with the relocation fee waived, all the other (competitive) owners will lose money too. Profit sharing in the future might be toast. Good luck in Vegas with a less market share.
This is tough. Wish Mayor Schaff would have worked harder during her term to make a better site available. The Howard Terminal site required too much infrastructure improvements.
So is there a way to sue mlb as any entity or even just as a fan for blatantly lying and misleading the public because that's all this has been. I don't care if it won't keep the A's in Oakland I just want them to hurt financially more than what they think they'll make from this move. And honestly they will probably never make back what they are about to lose from media rights alone with this move. Any financial investors should be dumping and running from mlb at this point.
One other person responsible for this: former commissioner Mud, oops, Dud, oops, Cud, oops, Crud, oops, Bud Selig. His " contraction " BS in the early 2000s(Oakland being a candidate). Commissioner Crud's interference in the Fremont and San Jose moves--Commissoner Crud wasn't acting on behalf of the Giants, the Giants were acting on behalf of Commissioner Crud. Commissioner Crud is why Fisher ended up owning the team(by way of Lew Wolff). And, thanks to commissioner Crud, we have Rob Manfraud as commissioner now...acting like former commissioner Crud.
Throw in incompetent, greedy, power-hungry politicians being incompetent, greedy, power-hungry politicians(and various government bureaucrats(politicians) such as those on the Coliseum board, Laney College, the Port board)...you have today's situation
This right here, too. Reggie Jackson, in partnership with Bill Gates, wanted to buy, hell! Were willing to give over 20mil the asking price! And then there's Joe Lacob. He said said he thought the deal was pretty much done for him to buy and, to this day, has a standing offer. But no...Bud Seligs friend gets it. Crazy that a game that is so bent up on history doesn't even know its history or is just flat out playing stupid. Take your pic because I don't think Manfred gives a damn about the game at all
What could have been...
Oakland was not a candidate for contraction in 2002 there were 4 Tampa Bay Florida Montreal Minnesota
@@michaelleroy9281 yes, they were, along with Minnesota
Manfred, Fischer, and this whole situation makes me sick to the deepest pits of my stomach. all the owners of the different mlb franchises just showed how little they care about the fans, the cities, and the sport, since for them it's only a business that they use to make themselves rich
I'm shocked by the unanimous vote
That's why all season openers in MLB should be boycotted in 2024
Manfred looks so uncomfortable with each tuff question he is such a liar
Yep, when you tell one lie, you have to tell another to justify the lies you told before.
This is a horrible decision by Manfred he should have let the deal with Oakland and Mayor Thao run out. They were 10% of the way to complete the deal if that deal could not have been reached then make the move to Vegas. This was poorly handled and they could have had a deal in Oakland. Some insiders feel that Ballys and the Tropicana made a backroom deal with Manfred and Fisher to get them to pull away from the Oakland deal. And yes ten years down the road everyone will realize Vegas will be a worse deal than trying to build at Howard Terminal.
I dont blame Vegas or the players on the A's, but I really cannot wait till they move, fail, and we have a huge "I told you" moment
Could this new tax for selling in Vegas be a way to force a sale in Oakland prior to the move? Hard to see that Fisher is serious when everything has been so half assed. Maybe he is trying to do a Vegas flip sale and baseball just called it out
do they even have a stadium plan in place ?
The point about the owner not spending money is weak, considering that's your rebuttal to Manfred's point that the A's have been the 6th winningest team in this owner's time and have made the playoffs more than a lot of other teams during that time.
What a farce. This wouldn't of happened 30 years ago. The Giants relocation got shot down and new ownership got a new park built. The same thing could of happened to the A's.
Hate to break it you, but in the Big Picture, this is only MLB and only a team relocation. The owners write the rules.
From what I understand, the facilities being the stadium and more over the club house and other interior portions of the facility are inadequate. To my knowledge, the playing field surface is taken care of by the best team in the MLB and is top notch, you won't get that in Vegas.
13:06 Have you ever known anyone to pull the second rip cord on a parachute? 😂
That aside, this deal was steam rolled by MLB. The new girlfriend is always more exciting than the old wife.
Leaving the Oakland territory open is mind boggling. Unless there is a hand shake agreement among the owners; that the next expansion team will go to Oakland.
They didn't show a lot of confidence at this press conference 😅
A's ownership should be forced to sell or give back their half of the coliseum site. If they're leaving, they don't need the land.
Fisher ran that stadium into the ground with neglect. Wrigley and Fenway are twice as old and in far better shape because the owners maintained and improved them.
More than twice as old Fenway opened in 1912 Wrigley opened in 1914
I thought I read that the Marlins abstained on the vote. To me, that's less than "unanimous."
I'm also not convinced that the new home of any relocating team needs to be a "done deal" before MLB votes. MLB's approval is a gatekeeper toward moving forward on a lot of things. Once that approval is granted, THEN work can proceed on those things. If we take our feelings out of the matter -- say it's the Albany Axolotls that are moving -- it wouldn't bother us as much that their stadium in Schenectady isn't ready yet. They'll figure it out.
Thanks for this video. The reception (coming from a Las Vegas resident) here has been mediocre and depends on who you ask. Vehicle traffic or traffic is not an advantage or disadvantage for a team. Every city has problems with vehicle traffic. Having a high frequency of foot or vehicle just creates more problems for this and any city. As residents here we will be inconvenienced in many ways such as skyrocketing prices to park, stadium traffic you name it.
The business model that looks to be shaping up revolves around the main business of Las Vegas. And that's gambling, with the sides of entertainment. They aren't going to need a fan base. Hotel/Casino will take up most of the site, with the option of staying inside on a 100+ degree day, bet on win/lose, spread, heck, a few side bets on who or if anyone is gonna hit a homer. Nice cold drinks, giant screen or maybe even a surround environment - who needs to be a fan? Great for revenue. Risky for keeping corruption out of baseball. And definitely a future of baseball where loyal fans are expendable, where the folks betting don't need to know a curveball from a slider.
You can watch the Dodgers on TV in the casino for that.
I can see a scandal brewing. How long will it take before we find out about someone throwing a game. It's ironic that Pete Rose is still banned from baseball, but gambling on the game is now perfectly legal!
@@ZZSmithReal Absolutely. But it's going to be hyped much more, lotsa hype. Filling a stadium for 81 games, no great number of people are going to drive/fly in, stay at a hotel, just to sit in uncomfortable surroundings, when the other enticements of Las Vegas are a short walk away. Putting the stadium on the strip didn't signal much of an invite to the residents of Las Vegas. So all the merch, it's going to be sold where? Got to be mostly impulse buy, you were in Vegas, you caught the hype, and what the heck, you buy a cap/t-shirt that never becomes any symbol of team fandom. Just another tourist t-shirt you got somewhere...
I feel like there is some information that the owners have we don't know. You have 30 people who can never agree on the slightest thing, not even the time of day and all of a sudden they are unanimously agree on relocating a team? Especially from one of the largest markets in the country to a much smaller market.
I feel awful for A's fans, they have a very passionate fanbase and I can feel their pain. Honestly the best advice I can give you is don't let people like John Fisher and Rob Manfred get the best of you. If your ready to move on in 2024 go ahead and move on, hey the Giants have the DH.
You might think I'm crazy but if your a passionate A's fan I'd enjoy that last season in Oakland because that's it, the gates will close for the final time after. Trust me, if you've been a life long A's fan it'll feel better to say you were at that last A's game than you missed it. Years down the road you'll wonder what that game was like when the lights went out for the last time, I guarantee you.
Raiders don’t want the A’s in Vegas after the A’s made it hard for the Raiders to build on the coliseum in Oakland
It's a shame that no one asks him about Howard Terminal or how the team has jumped from location to location around the Bay Area. Didn't the A's have a deal in place in San Jose but the Giants refused to let it happen?
One thing's for sure, MLB doesn't care about leaving Oakland just like the NFL didn't care. In their eyes, they're going to lose the 25-75 year old crowd, but those under 25 will likely start watching the Giants, then their kids will watch the Giants, then their kids will watch the Giants, then MLB owns the market regardless. I honestly thought that the relocation vote would be 29-1, I didn't think the Giants would vote for the A's relocation, even if they wanted the A's to leave, it would have been a gesture to A's fans that "hey, we wanted you to keep your team!" but they didn't. I hope East Bay baseball fans remember that when they decide to turn their back on the Las Vegas A's.
I'm turning my back on MLB forever! I will not support a sport that does this to loyal fans and treats us with disdain!
@@danmyers2934I don’t blame you, but I have to ask, have you stopped watching the NFL and NBA too?
@@trclark7689I stopped watching the NBA regularly when the Sonics left Seattle for OKC. The real beauty and fundamentals in the NBA game that I grew up watching are all but gone in today’s game. Miss the physicality and players of NBA in the 80’s and 90’s. Haven’t watched the NFL in nearly a decade. I simply prefer college football over the NFL. As a Seattle SuperSonics fan I know how the Oakland A’s fans feel. The Sonics being gone still hurts all these years later. My heart goes out to all of the A’s fans.
@@m.kennedy1128I grew up with the Orlando Magic of the 90’s, the NBA is horrible to me today, but I can definitely feel your pain at losing the Sonics.
I soured on MLB when they gave the Rays permission to explore a split home plan with Montreal.
The NFL has become predictable and boring. I hate how they allowed Oakland, San Diego, and St. Louis to be abandoned too.
I too am a huge college football fan, but with conference realignment (the death of the PAC and potential death of the ACC) and NIL nonsense, it’s slowly changing for the worse too.
i hope mayor thao sues the crap out of them
If the A’s play in Sacramento, they can have an untapped MLB support of hungry A’s fans in this region of the State.
They will get more fans watching over Reno, Oakland, SF and even Las Vegas.
They’ll have lingering Bay Area A’s fans having a place to still watch their team.
They’ll have TV and radio continuation. Plus, higher chance of getting more real fans in seats.
Would be great for the Central Valley economy and their fans will fill the seats over the expensive Bay Area housing economy. More disposable income in the CV.
They’ll be more accepting of having the A’s for three years and then letting go of the team.
The Giants unfortunately, owns the Bay.
Logic dictates Fisher won't spend a time on increased payroll until they are in the Vegas stadium..if he bothers to spend at all and has any $ left.
Manfred was a lawyer, so he knows how to say things without saying the truth, I think you can say that this is a way for Fisher and Manfred to get what they wanted without going through the process, a lot of unsaid things need to come out of the closet , don’t understand why MLB is omitting the facts, they are being one sided, sad day for the A’s sad day for MLB…
So he thanks the governor of Nevada😂 So why didn’t fisher ever reach out to Gavin newsom since the fishers are huge donors?
I expect MLB to offer Oaklsnd a conditional expansion team. Build a ballpark and be rewarded.
Thank you to our host for this important follow-up segment? Yes, we agree. Lots of questions. There are some ugly consequences to these locations. Some hurt feelings
Hey! Guys. Things didn’t work out for Oakland. Sorry. At this level of play, there is one winner and one second place finisher.
This video is yet another amusing sideshow put on YT by Brodie. Oakland is the one primarily to blame for the A's following the Raiders path out the door to Vegas. The city remained CLUELESS even after Allegiant Stadium opened for business! Never thought the A's would leave. Never thought MLB owners would be tired of this saga that was in play when Lew Wolff owned the team. With a UNANIMOUS VOTE, the owners sent a clear message....it's time to MOVE ON! The A's are all but gone and there's no good in suing the league over it. The city of Oakland needs to work on getting a new stadium built ASAP. This alone would send a clear message to Manfred and the owners that when the time for expansion comes, Oakland stands at the top. The East Bay could EASILY outmuscle SLC and Portland for the western spot. But things need to happen NOW.
Post A's, what's the 2025 plan for Coliseum? HT? Where's that entertainment council that had the exclusive development rights? Oakland has had housing problems forever.
As a giants fan and baseball fan this sucks! My question brodie is what role did the players union had in this decision or how do they feel about this! Because if players are going to pay their share to the players union plz 🙏 help me out here brodie Brazil
I mean even Sacromento could avoid their basketball team getting moved, and having this developing so quick, it is fsir that people are skeptical on this to think this it is all planned all along, like it is going like how they wanted to.
All these two do is lie, lie and lie in fact the only positive for me is that I won’t have to hear them publicly disrespect Oakland anymore as I move on to the Phillies and now Ballers
Taking a long view of this you can see some of what Manfred is saying about no deal in Oakland. How many mayors have taken the team’s need for a new stadium for granted and now this one new mayor is going to fix it? Also didn’t the last mayor just punt this to the current mayor so she wouldn’t be the one who lost Oakland its last sports team?
What does the government has to say about this and how the move went down. Isn’t there some sort of oversight by them?
Don't forget to bubble wrap those world series trophies when you move them down here!!🏆🏆
The last ones you'll ever see.
@@PatrickVaughan-qq5wlGiants troll alert
one thing i think this is about tv money . what kind of deal you think A's will get ?
SF giants , dodgers , angels tv rating go up.
Rob M. always lies to fans in some form. Jeter never been in any team front office . if it where not for Rob M..
mlb is banking on also the land and location raising the A's value up. to the point only a corporation can afford them.
Where will A's play before Las Vegas move? you would want test Nahville tn out. no think in long run braves and St. Louis let that happen. can get rays in on it maybe. this is not nfl
who want team call Nashville STARS? tennessee maybe.
I know catharsis isn't very healthy, but I am going to greatly enjoy their utter failure.
I think Charles B. Johnson has much to do with this.... Also manfred jus like a politician
"It's a great day for Las Vegas." And that's all you need to know. This is not news.
(Fart noise)💨
Another garbage take by a garbage person. Or yet another garbage bot.
I’m just gonna say this. The very last thing I wanna do in vegas…. A fast action type town… baseball would be the last thing I’d want to do unless I’m getting free drinks with my $45 dollar ticket. It’s already a boring dying sport with little interest nationally. Way to go
Of course manfred is going to say fisher is a good owner. whats he gunna say, 'he sucks'? get real. lol
Manfred’s body language and eye movements told a much different story than his mouth. He’s an easy read, and a horrible liar.
Like who’s funding this staduim and what’s the fanbase will be with losing record next year
LV should get an expansion team, not Oakland! Leave the the "Athletics" name when you leave JF 🖕🏽🖕🏽🖕🏽
Idk who’s worse the As or the yotes of the NHL both are goin worth the same stuff
A's fans in Oakland can learn from Sonics what to do. or not do.
or use money from ticket s not buying . to buy A's t-shirt flood games in SF giants , dodgers , angels make it look like A's game piss off mlb with A's singes mlb las vegas
lol be worth seeing
So the City of Oakland did nothing wrong, it's all on the owner of the A's and MLB of why they are moving? The fact is the people of Oakland did not support the team directly, or indirectly by voting for city officials that would support their needs. The City of Oakland is not a business friendly environment, businesses need to be there to support a large part of season ticket sales. The simple fact is that there is more money in Las Vegas (a smaller market) than in the City of Oakland.
Compare it to being a2nd banana with 18 road games a year. Yes there will be money in Vegas but how will it be if you have the majority of fans being visiting fans. This is how the Spanos Chargers are facing and look at Dean he's in debt because his expectations are less than what he's expected
the city was giving fisher more money than vegas. vegas population is too small to support baseball and the tv market there is too small. the money to support the team is in oakland not vegas.
The best comparison might be Alameda County vs Clark County, the east bay vs the Las Vegas valley. This is from the 2020 US Census, Population: Alameda has 1,628,997, Clark has 2,265,469, Population change: Alameda at -3.2%, Clark at +2.5%, Room\Food Sales: Alameda at $5B, Clark at $30B, Total retail sales: Alameda at $27B, Clark at $32B. The number of visitors to Oakland in 2022 was 3.3M and spent $590M, the number of visitors to Las Vegas in 2022 was 39M with gaming revenues of $12.8B (Just the room tax was $329M). I mention the room tax because that is what financed Allegiant stadium not the local population. As for the TV market yes it is bigger, but that includes San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose, the Giants TV contract revenue in 2020 was $63M and for the A's was $48M. @@manwhore7019
Manfred is liar!!!
Manfred needs to go
