God, Mandy Gonzalez is just SO GOOD as a singing actor. I am only hearing the audio here but she took me on an entire emotional journey with this. I don't even like this musical but I would pay Broadway prices to see Mandy Gonzalez absolutely SLAY THIS. She is Broadway royalty and I hope she gets the part she so richly deserves out of this.

I saw the original years ago with Elaine Paige etc and loved the drama…Mandy somehow acts her way through the songs more like the original way, far more than Nicole who sings in a more simple way, with no emphasis on lyrics when it’s required. She’s fantastic, but I think Mandy just has the edge from the videos I’ve seen of her.

why tempo so slow?
To make it dreamier maybe
All the tempos are slow. With One Look especially I felt was so slow. More time for them to luxuriate in the notes and moments
Slow for an ol’ cinematic feel is my best guess based on the direction.
I notice that too. The version of Nicole is not this slow. Also, too much vibrato.
Nevertheless, overall mandy really did a good job👏
