You are braver than me I barely eat squid,I worked in a fish processing plant and we would pack squid and we would never finish it all and it would spoiling never got over that smell. I tried eating fish raw,I can't do it.but I love seafood just not raw.love all your videos especially when you have Mega on with you.keep up the awesome work.

Such a range of foods! Cook at your table lamb looked incredible, and so much fun. The fried mackerel may be my favorite, looked so perfectly crispy. Not so sure about the squid in ink, haha, but the look on your face was priceless 😂 Thank you for taking us along with you! ❤

Hey Eric. Get some! Another great and insightful video. The egg served raw inspired me to think of a segment or special type of video you could do called "It doesn't work that way in Japan." These videos would focus on you taking things like eating a raw egg, table manners, cultural differences, customs, etc., and juxtaposing them to more common western flavors, ideas, customs, etc. I think it would be a great way to further educate us all on Japanese culture, and help people know what they might encounter in Japan.

Great video Eric I love the pub setting videos maybe because I am English and pubs are what we have a lot of but we don’t get a table charge. I love squid ink risotto but not sure about raw baby octopus in ink but never say never keep up the great work
Typically the table charge is small & worth the dish.

I used to hate lamb, always thought they were very chewy. But after having it cooked perfectly and tender, it's one of my favourite meats ever and also sometimes the healthier option. That pear sherbet also sounds interesting. Can't say I've ever had pear flavoured anything apart from juice

I had a revelation when you said the omelet was super sweet “in Japan sweetness is a thing”. I got some Japanese quattro cheese corn snacks that look a lot like Cheetos but they were sooo sweet. I didn’t enjoy them as much as I hoped.
