I like that you can make a more combat oriented Blue deck with little unblockable creatures backed by Octavia or even a Leviathan, Serpent, Octopus, Krakens tribal deck:P
I decided to make my list a little bit of Faerie tribal for uh...cheeky thematic reasons lol. on the plus side some fae have good synergy. Cloudseeder can create tokens and help put more expensive sorceries in your graveyard early game, Metropolis sprite ability is nice when its 8/8 and you don't have to worry about it dieing , the instants that make x faerie tokens all synergize well, and I think all the faeries with flash will be nice impromptu surprise 8/8 blockers. Also Niblis of frost has good synergy too. Anyways, thats the direction im going with this. My playgroup all do slower decks so I don't need to much self mill I don't think, I can be a turn or 2 slower and not sweat it. Your video gave me tons of ideas tho, Thought sponge is wonderful.

I enjoy cards like Gift of Tusks and Suit Up that change creatures p/t so that i can manipulate multiple creatures. Turn one creature into a 4/4 with no abilities and then turn the creature blocking it into an 8/8.
Just worth noting, although its probably already been pointed out, you can't pay zero for Thieving Skydiver. If you do want to steal the mana Crypt - you strictly speaking can't do so for free, you need to pay (1) for the kicker and target the artifact with (1) or less; in this case (0).
I ended up splitting my own list between permanents that have instants and sorceries (or just noncreature) triggers and heavy card draw that also bins. Some of the other new cards like Deekah, Fractal Theorist and Serpentine Curve feel like all stars to me.
love your vids man. i agree on the extreme draw ill would like to maybe add more token generators like shark typhoon and construct. just too get things going on the 8/8s. love everything else on the deck.
Master of Waves - worth considering but I dislike that if he dies then he essentially takes all the tokens with him. Metallurgic Summonings - five CMC is a lot but it seems legit if your playgroup tends to play longer games and you can get repeat value from it. Murmuring Mystic - it's oka but I have a hard time finding a slot for him. Thopter Spy Network - the condition that you have to control another artifact is too risky for my blood. Nadir Kraken - it's good, but again I have a hard time finding a slot for it.
Flashback abilities tend to be a bit over-costed unless you have a way to make them cheaper to cast. Looking at the decklist, I don't think I would sacrifice any of the current cards for something like Think Twice.
It is if you can get it out early but becomes significantly less valuable the later in the game you can play it. Even at only 3-CMC, I personally would rather include cards that I would want in my hand at any point in the game like a Thirst for Knowledge or Thirst for Meaning.
Just here for your voice mainly. Haha Edit. How would a clone version of this deck work in your opinion? Call it "anything you can do I can do better". Also like the political aspect you mentioned. Killing tymnas with Saprolings. Haha
I'm not a big fan of having to rely on other players creatures to copy, but if you use instants and sorceries that create copy tokens, it could work. Stolen Identity would be good as it has Cipher and you can copy its effect.
@@Aristocards yeah I already had that debate with my friend and I pulled up a couple other partner cards that I think would have really interesting results if paired with Octavia such as the white blue card with flying that gets a plus one plus one counter whenever an opponent casts a spell, she probably doesn't need partner but considering all of the decks have at least one monocolor Legend of each color and they only have two new commanders in each deck with a third reprint of the appropriate colors I just feel it is a huge missed opportunity to have partner for the monocolor legends

I think The Magic Mirror would be a good card in this deck

You can't steal it for free, but you can pay 1 to steal it.
