18:48. My lowest TCGPlayer market price is currently $2.43 for my The List printing.
Been out of magic since 2000, only returning due to Forgotten Realms and found out they finally gave my favorite character in the original novels a card! Can't wait to build a deck around him now.
Makes me want to read the novels now but really shows hiw effective the commanders quarters is at brand engagement
People always were negative around here when I would talk about how they never made a card for the first Planeswalker.

Dude, make a Commander deck. Avoid standard like it's a cross between the Plague and Covid. I too, was a player back in the 2000's and I can assure you, the state of the game is totally unbearable.

You've done it again! Psychosis Crawler ($0.58 Artifact Creature) does: Whenever you draw a card, each opponent loses 1 life. I plan on adding it.

I had almost all the cards laying around and just pulled him from a booster - just HAD to built it. I just love solid & budget friendly decks. Tweaked it a bit around but still about untapping a lot. Keep up the good work!

My garth is a token theme where I use Any and all token generators then turn them all into black lotus and give them to players because why not

I was overwhelmed with the possibilities for Garth, but this deck list feels sweet. In my Garth deck I have a bunch of tap-destroy effects like Visara the dreadful and Mangara of Corondor, but I really enjoy this list and will use it to update mine.
Looks like a fun deck, with some very involved turns.
Some cards whom I think deserve consideration are: Spawning Grounds making you an army of 5/5 tramplers, Genju of the Realm can be an 8/12 indestructible trampler that is also safe from bounce/exile -effects while it´s not your turn, Kamahl, Pit Fighter is a Bolt on stick, also with haste; and both Kwain, Itinerant Meddler and Selvala, Explorer returned can draw a bunch of cards and the letter still ramps you (probably)

Happened with your Oloro deck, the hardest creatures to kill and biggest creatures for my old mimeoplasm deck, and now untapping for my kwain deck and Oswald fiddlebender deck.

put in amulet of vigor and they come in untapped...so untapped duals after turn 1???
Big fan of Garth from the old days, glad to see the deck contained a lot of early magic staples like Wild Growth and Ley Druid.
Teleportation Circle should be in this deck. Blink a creature (Garth) at the end of turn and reset him every turn? Yes please.

My pod at commander night at my lgs got blown up by this deck and it was by far the cheapest deck at the table. So now I’m building it because it looks like a blast to pilot.
Hey Mitch, what's that tool you're using near the end of the video showing prices? I wanna check it out to see if it gives the same kind of numbers that i get when i go directly on tcgplayer. For example this deck would cost me pretty much 80 euros without foil and including played cards, that seem a bit excessive.

@@lavandereisly4194 with Rings and Basalt Monolith of course. Which work well with Garth anyways. Also throw in a Seedborne Muse. And a Lithoform Engine for kicks.
I use the oldest copies I have of all the Garth cards as the tokens. 3rd edition disenchant and regrowth and 4th edition terror. I did have a revised Shivan Dragon but I sold it to my LGS when I saw it was $30 so I could get more D&D packs. I use the core 2017 Dragon and I am planning on making a wooden black lotus as my token

I feel like I am missing a big point of this deck... I just can't seem to find the win con. I get that the point is to untap and retap big lands and garth a bunch but excluding the dragon all that gives you is a shit ton of mana and a lot of cards.... I get that Jeskai's Ascendency is going to pump your guys but even then if everything got pumped for say +6 and you have idk 4 creatures that is 3 +7's or +8's and 1 +11... In a 4 person commander game that kills maybe one person and that goes away at then end of your turn where u just die. Like I said, I have been very impressed with most of the deck techs I have seen from mitch, but this one has me confused.
Yeaaaaa..it seemed fun so I did build it. When I played it everyone was getting real worried because I seemed to be doing a ton of stuff each turn....but in the end I did absolutely nothing to anyone. haha. It was odd...looking for a better route with Garth.
Last time I was this early, wayfarers bauble was still a budget card
Very cool, I did a very similar build with my Gnostro deck that’s mostly built around Jeskai ascendancy and various other Untap engines for pingers and value. It’s a lot of fun and whenever I have more that like two Untap all creature triggers on the stack (day by copying an Untap spell) my brain starts to hurt but it’s all good fun.
I would add beguiler of wills and arcanis for control and more card draw. Also I believe I need at least 3-4 counterspells and 1-2 mass indestructible effects such as heroic intervension to save your enchantments. Also with indestructible lands it would be spicy to add some Armageddon effects

Is it bad that I kind of want to do this decklist, but with the land 'Arena' and 'Chromatic Lantern' in with it, just cuz well . . . Arena is the best book ever written for MTG.
How about adding Thassa deep dwelling and other flicker spells in this deck to use all 5 of Garth's abilities in one turn, then flicker him to do it again next turn? Now I know that using Thassa would take it away from the budget build, but it would make the deck all the more powerful!

You have to blink garth to choose the same copy of a card so this deck needs Deadeye Navigator no matter what
Thassa2, teleportation circle, conjurers closet... deadeye is cheese
@@DJBVWA I run garth as combo so you need Infinite mana you can't achieve that without blinking garth

Should adding Riptide laboratory .21 cent land on tcgplayer. Land with pay one and a blue tap: return wizard to your hand. Garth is a wizard.
I was looking into this sort of deck but with Kenrith as commander and utilitizing Intruders Alarm with creature lands and token generators

Looks like a deck that's going to play with it's self a lot. Basically build your own paradox engine.
You should put all cards in the description so that people can more easily look them up and buy them without having to rewind and pause the video on every card

If you flicker or bounce and recast Garth, he will have summoning sickness? You won't beable to get an additional activation
Yea, you need to give him haste to use him immediately but the benefit of blinking him is A) protecting him from targeted removal, and more importantly B) resetting him, since if he leaves the battlefield then returns he is treated as a new object and "forgets" anything he already did.
I wonder if making this deck with Golos at the helm would be good with all that mana... how many activations do you think you could realistically get generating all that mana...

With the card ready willing. When casting is it one side or can you cast both parts if you have enough mana. These cards are new to me
Okay so most split cards like Fire // Ice are "you can only cast one half of the card". However there are split cards with Fuse (like say...Ready // Willing). Wit these cards when you cast it *from your hand* you may cast both halves if you can pay for both halves. So to cast both Ready and Willing, you need a total of 2WBG (1WG for Ready, 1WB for willing). If you cast it this way, you do the left side first, so Ready goes first, followed by willing.

Make a crap ton of shivan dragons abd beat them down. Or braingeyser them to draw out. Or many other ping effects. It a toolbox with many things. Not just a single win condition.

I like he is a 5/5. Because, in all honesty, Garth only has an ability for 6 taps/Garth. After that he is just a decent body.
