After 4 years I decided to clean out my Xbox and even though it’s a year late so I appreciate it for how well made the instructions were but one thing I want to point out to how you made it look so easy and then theirs me taking forever to figure out what’s wrong but I got it back together so thank you well put together video
Wow I was anxious about having to disassemble my Xbox but thank you soooo much for this great tutorial. I was able to pull it apart and clean out all the dust that was built up and put it all back together. Thanks for the video
This video was great, it helped me getting my boys xbox one to work again, after my youngest son spiled chocolate milk on it, he was pisted off at him self, cause he know he couldn't play it no more. So I cleaned it all out and put it back together thanks to this video and now I have to happy boys again.. Thanks!!!! God bless you for making this video
Thanks for the video, my one s fan is starting to get louder so here's my project next, just serviced our desktop so have plenty of isopropyl and thermal😜
On the back of the white cover, have the screw holes snapped off? If you turn the white cover upside down, there should be holes where the green screws fix to. Or it could be that the case is not sitting flush?
Make sure there is a label next to them if not you simply have the console upside down, if you still have the issue then try to make sure you lined up everything
Fantastic video!! Had one over heating and smoke came out!! Change the thermal paste and now it works perfectly! Honestly so much easier than I thought it would be!!!
Hey I'm about to go through with this to see if it can help me figure out why my xbox won't update it will get 2 thirds of the way through and then I have to troubleshoot it. I've even tried with an offline download so I hope this fixes the problem
mine had power failure straight out the box so microsoft fixed it back in 2017, but the black case has never been flush against the white part since. the front usb port is misaligned and you can see the foam... is that normal? I tried clicking it together and putting pressure on it but it isn't doing anything ty
Hi Stan - no that does not sound normal - If clicking back together did not work, I would remove the black plastic casing and re-install it. Under the case there is a small plastic prong which needs to sit into a hole on the base of the Xbox - that might be bent/misaligned
Hi James - yes, it is certainly worth it. As you have all the casing off and motherboard out (to replace the HDMI port) it is always worth popping off the heatsink and giving it some fresh thermal paste
Hi please help out I put everything together but it won’t turn on no beeps nothing I didn’t break anything I’m 100% certain I put every cable back but nothing
My F1 Green Screw wouldn't screw on so I left it like that but when I finished and tried to turn my Xbox on, it made the sound and the light glowed but then it turned back off
Sooo I just cleaned mine after about 6-8 years. I put it all back together and when I turn it on it’ll only stay on for a few seconds and beep off. What could wrong with it? Everything looks fine and I can’t figure out what’s wrong
Hi Henrique - the video is made up of a few videos of me dissembling and re-assembling the Xbox so there will be internal xbox parts that look different throughout the video. The end to end process is exactly the same for all Xbox One S though
booBeam Tech makes sense, I just didn’t know there were 2 versions of the same Xbox with different heat sinks, so what versions come with which one? Are the 500gb ones with the heat pipe style heat sinks? And the 1 and 2 tb ones has a regular heat sink?
Hello....great, informative video. One question....would it be advisable to do a partial disassembly just to perform preventative maintenance, such as checking for dust build up? I've had mine for about 4 years, and it works perfectly...just want to give myself peace of mind. Thanks.
@@chiefkookums9397 I would try a plastic one first.. although the plastic ones I have used seem to bend really easily. If the plastic one does not work for you, try a metal one, but use an old cloth/rag inbetween the case and spudger

Great news Robin - Well done, and you are more than welcome.
That was helpful, thanks!
T10 for silver/green screws and T9 for black screws fits also.

I don't know why
Buy I'm scared to take apart my Xbox.
Aspirin a lot of money on it and one wrong thing I think
Can brake it :(
If you do take it apart, the best advice I can give is to take it slowly and do not force the parts
The green screws will not tighten but they seem to just drop in. Is that normal? I've been stuck on that for hours frustratingly

Hey one of my screws stripped while removing how will i be able to get past it
Can you show a clip of after reassembled plugging it in to show that it powers on
Hi Matthew - I no longer have that console, but it powered on just fine.
One of the green screws won't come off pls help
Is the screw spinning when you turn it or is the head of the screw worn out?
Very very helpful! Thank you!
I can't seem to pop off the casing on the bottom, do you recommend anything?
NEW SUB YOUR VID HELPED ME I HAD TO REPLACE THE FAN MINE HAD THE LOSE SPRING WHEN IT WOULD SPIN AND TICK THANK YOU SO MJCH

Will there be pry damage to the lower tray if I use a metal pry tool?

The missing screw would not cause that.. how long does it stay powered on for?

@@grape_in_snd I would open it up again and double check the hard drive is connected correctly

i don’t have thermal jell thingy. am i in trouble?
Hi Sen - Yes, you need some thermal paste, not loads but enough to give good contact between the heat sink and chip
Can we all agree that plastic clips need to die ?
2 different heat sinks?

Absolutely, it is always worth clearing out the dust build up
@@TweakTips OK....perfect. I'm paranoid about scratching or cracking the bottom try. Is it preferable to use a metal or plastic spudger?

Do you have to put new thermal paste on?
It is recommended yes, especially if the current paste looks dried out. I always apply new paste.
What if my power button won’t click when I put the case back on
There is a little metal tab on the front chassis of the xbox, make sure that fits into the black plastic hole on the (inside) front of the case

Is it that I'm having a hard time putting that clip back on to the CPU fan
I opened mine up but not to the motherboard cuz i feel like ill break it

Why the heck does every video make taking the bottom off look so easy
In the same boat my dood... These guys just pulling it off meanwhile I've snapped 2 pry tools and it feels like my case is superglued down
and what happens if the power button doesnt click
It is probably the case not sitting correctly. Have a watch of this video here - th-cam.com/video/393qLC0pXMM/w-d-xo.html
Anyone now where I can get 6 new green bolts for xbox one as I aint paying ebay sellers £10 for second hand shit rip off lol thanks

On god this John was dirty
Who else took their Xbox apart and couldn’t figure out how to put it back together
No.Let is stay dirty... Thank you..
I broke one of the silver screws should I buy some or should I just leave one hole open?
Hi Rani - if it is just one of the screws, you can just leave the hole open
