Really awesome! Rob Van Dam is, by far, one of the true innovators of the highly entertaining high-flying style! Plus, he WILL always be "The Whole F***in' Show!" Gotta respect RVD!!!!!
There's nothing better than an ECW wrestler....they know how to really entertain at the cost of their body...they REALLY gave/give their body to us and us ECW fans are grateful!
I do not mean to soundlike an asshole, but R.V.D was a routine boring bump taking wrestler. Had he hung on to the title longer fans would have noticed that this guy could not wrestle. You have to be innovative in every match, like Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, Randy Savage and Chris Benoit, I am sure to get a lot of hte replys for expressing an opinion.
The Kid was the first OG nigga when it came to 'acrobatics' in the Square Ring and he was something like 20years before RVD...Mysterio,RVD were brilliant to watch back in the the day but Dynamite Kid was a Legend,he would've prolly been one of the only guy's around in his day doing stuff like that..
RVD is my equal fave singles wrestler. However... I think he's like the Stan Hansen of 21st century wrestling. By that ... I mean that he doesn't hang around a fed long enough to build up a rep & get long title runs.
You clearly don't know what your talking about besides sheep. Lets look at the E, there are perhaps thousands of wrestlers just trying to make it to the E, but never making it. Some are not good enough or have what it takes. Some people wrestle their entire lives and never make it. You need image, mic skill, and ring skill. The more you go up top, the more moves you're limited to. This so the fans be familiar with the wrestlers. This is what happen with John Cena. Not only that, he the face.
Wow, this has got to be the worst interview ever! I mean, ML is wearing WAYYYYY too much manmakeup, questions that you would ask anyone that goes to work or pretty much any wrestler you have on. Trying to get RVD to reveal he smokes pot...feminine gestures and innuendos, pretty much did the minimum in research before bringing him on "didn't know thumb gesture", "started a question about deaths in the ring about Chris Candino, who didn't die in the ring"..
Uh, no he isn't not even close to being the best. He has always been overrated and always will be. He doesn't have any mic skills, he's had the same gimmick for over a decade, which hasn't been working for him at all but he still does it. Half the time he's high as a kite and produce kindergarten sentences.
RVD is a particularly interesting example, isn't he? I find when I watch interviews with wrestlers out-of-character, it's easy to disconnect the two. RVD is obviously much more intelligent and better-spoken than his on-screen character, but I still see similarities between the two.
WWE made a big mistake in not pushing talent during the time ECW and WCW went to liquidation, you had people like Van Dam, Tajiri, Tazz, Booker, and SOOOO many more which they could have turned into Ric Flairs and Undertakers if they wanted to... this guy is the best in-ring performer ever! he sells like a boss !
rvds an awesome and funny guy... shame how much he has slowed down in the ring and how they never really fully capitalized on him... also landsberg is a great interviewer makes it interesting and isnt intimidated by all these huge personalities
I don't know why everyone is ragging on RVD talking about himself. Someone is asking about his profession and how he does what he does, of course he's going to be talking about himself. He knows he's unique because he makes the effort to be unique.
RVD is a great wrestler, but he has never been motivated to be at the top. I saw a interview he did and he said he didnt really care for hit. Moreover, he is a pothead, but at least he is truthful and tries his best in the ring
I Love how this interviewer DISSES Them all with stupid comments, such as- "You're Vulnerable", also Rob's style of learning, and Innovativion reminds me of CM PUNK and the way he rose from his own league. They would be great friends I think
Cripes Van Dam. You're talking about 1960's tv wrestling with a bunch of no name matches and then the champ beats a nobody and stays champ for ten years. Its all about Dam Rob.
let people talk too long, you get two topics at most. if you need a large amount of topics, you have to cut them off. that's how 20 minute interviews work.
LOL taker is a real legend but RVD just have a bad attitude just listen he is doesn't watch wrestling and he is not that humble in this interview Really
I think TSN stopped interviewing wrestlers after they stopped showing WWE around 04 or 05 WWE programming moved to the Score & TSN likes to televise Curling.
why does the host always cut the guests off and even if the guests have the intention of continuing the answer he just talks over them and asks another question before they even finish. WTF

Wwe fucked up with rvd. They should had pushed him from the beginning. When guys like orton could beat rvd, its obvious wwe is going down the drain
That flip he hit Bam Bam Bigelow with out in the audience is top 5 most memorable moments in the 30 years I've been watching wrestling.
One of the best wrestlers ever.
rvd is a real performer. a legend
Incredible! 0.02 leaps into crowd
RVD was horribly missused in the WWE
Glad he got a little run with the wwe title, should have held it more than once though.

You ever seen RVD take a piledriver? You wouldn't call him a "routine boring bump taker" afterwards.
The Kid was the first OG nigga when it came to 'acrobatics' in the Square Ring and he was something like 20years before RVD...Mysterio,RVD were brilliant to watch back in the the day but Dynamite Kid was a Legend,he would've prolly been one of the only guy's around in his day doing stuff like that..
hes on a time limited show with someone who wants to detail every story he has to be like that
what shirt is RVD wearing it looks coool ooo:
RVD is my equal fave singles wrestler. However... I think he's like the Stan Hansen of 21st century wrestling. By that ... I mean that he doesn't hang around a fed long enough to build up a rep & get long title runs.

you gotta love rvd's shirt

am looking for up to date off the record from like wwe wrestlers like now cant find them anywhere if they even made them
let people talk too long, you get two topics at most. if you need a large amount of topics, you have to cut them off. that's how 20 minute interviews work.
LOL taker is a real legend but RVD just have a bad attitude just listen he is doesn't watch wrestling and he is not that humble in this interview Really
they are completely different. hardy is more like sabu if anything. but rvd is more flashy than hardy and hardy is just a diffferent type of wrestler.
I think TSN stopped interviewing wrestlers after they stopped showing WWE around 04 or 05
WWE programming moved to the Score & TSN likes to televise Curling.
why? normally you'd get some troll-ass RVD mark insulting you, but I just want to ask you, as a man, what is your gripe with Van Dam?
A lot of wrestlers don't watch a lot of wrestling tbh. When you wrestle for over 10+ years. You kinda get tired of watching it.
It's unfortunate he got caught with pot w/ Sabu, resulting in him losing the WWE/ECW Championship within two days of each other.
Have you seen the current face of wwe, they clearly don't care about any kind of skill if they think cena is anywhere near rvd
nope, Im 18, never said it would be realistic, just would've liked to see it happen. I know its not on the air anymore
I saw this guy at LAX once, I asked for a picture with him, he said Yeah sure dude but I gotta take a piss first.
well he did get fired once or twice and suspended multiple times for drug abuse (pills, and weed) *i'm a R.V.D fan*
his wwe title reign was cut short because in 2006 he was pull over on the HIGHway with sabu for drug possession and was suspended for 30days by WWE
Landsberg is so in love with himself, it is almost impossible to watch. Although he does gets great guests.
RVD wants more squash matches and Roddick was the 2 seed at Wimbledon. Now I feel like I'm the one on pot.
that title would go to rey mysterio no one touches him in high flying hardy is more of a risk taker
That was the problem with RVD all the moves in the world but could not tell a story in the ring.
i hated when the big wrestlers were wrestling joe blows.... im glad those matching are gone
RVD is the biggest example of a guy who could have drawn tons of money and wasn't allowed to
For 22 minutes, they could have smoked some of Rob's quality weed but NO they're TALKING!
RVD is my fav
The whole 4:20 circumstance could be a reason they consider him a "pothead" character.
4:22 RVD war 100% right. The WWE is kind of doing squash matches again with Ryback
Ya cause Ric Flairs slaps are so much more technical, or Takers chokeslam.
cena fan: who is that???
Real Fan: That's the real deal whole fuckin show.
He was striped of the title because a drug bust. Unlucky for him, right?
for being such a known pothead, he really dodges the 420 question lol
id love to smoke a bud with RVD & listen to his story's of ECW & WWE
Only reason he does that is to squeeze more content into the show.
8:02 Kurt Angles opinion sounds the same as Jim Cornette. I personally agree with them.
i had the blue shirt when i was 10 :o
(cheers like audience) ..rvd rvd rvd rvd rvd rvd....
Stunning Steve, The Ringmaster.... he had some bad ones lol !
I wanna see CM Punk on this show
chris benoir was the best technical wrestler of all time, very closely tailed by kurt angle...
He is a pot head an he does say totally an dude alot lol.
This interviewer never lets his guests speak. Poor show.
Then you don't know what being truly relaxed feels like.
Can Landsberg go 5 seconds without cutting someone off?
They need to bring back the cruiserweight championship!
Well he has more chance now he is back in the company.
No he got moves like entire RAW and SM roster today
great talent... and seems like a nice fella too
RVD should have been the World Champ a lot longer than he was. He should have been pushed almost right after the Alliance, not in like 2005-2006
He should have stayed away from drugs. He was always deserving of being champion but his lifestyle and choices including who he hangs out with (Sabu)
after watching this, rvd has more of my respect
That sux. Thought that would be the case though.
So he is still on of the best wrestler ever.
Rvd is the fucking Adam Sandler of wrestling
did rob steal the name from jean claude?
he reminds me of Steve-O from Jackass ..a lot
Lol, yeah he's so good, he's my best BUD ;)
Landsberg STOP interrupting people, my god.
@18:18 RVD stretches his cockanballs.
Sick burn at the end there by Landsberg.
Jeff Hardy is the best high flyer ever!
Mick Foley did one a couple years back.
Is RVD's comicbook store still opened.
why does the host always cut the guests off and even if the guests have the intention of continuing the answer he just talks over them and asks another question before they even finish. WTF
better than this 420 lbs Mark Henry
Mr. PPV, RVD
I dont need chemical shit to relax.
rvd was always one of my favorites
greatest HIGH-flyer of all time
He was always my favorite.
that would be.... fucking awesome
r.v.d is the best love hes style
lack of mic skills scares wwe
@ 18.17 = Testicular Fortitude
v pretty guy and hard hitter
current most underrated
I don't believe it is. :-(
this man speaks the truth!
Haha you ain't lying man
You and me both man. lol
Come back to wwe please
