@5:15 I actually entered my first show on a whim last weekend when I was just going to enter pit parking for the event. I keep my car VERY clean and even after asking specifically where the pit parking was the staff pointed me to the car show parking, so I figured since I had the only Mazda there I'd enter. Anyhow, after the show and losing out to about 20 pretty average 90s Civic hatchbacks - probably the only thing they knew how to judge) I asked if I could learn more about my score so I know what to improve and they told me that they don't give out any of that information. I won't mention the promotion company but I will say that this was at Sac Raceway last weekend and it was a goddamn unorganized mess with one of the lowest turnouts I've ever seen for an event there.
Ahhhh, NorCal....miss the area. As far as those judges, some may not be very experienced in all types of vehicles. But, they should be able to tell you how their judge sheets are organized, and the break down of their point system
I've been a 16 car shows this year got a 82 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue fully loaded I had to chase the judges down 9 time to come look at my car. Just passed it by
Great Tips BUT I have a question often there car show prejudice, NOT just against a race of people but many other factors. I have seen this many times PERSONALLY, became extremely disppointed. I was always told stay away from your car until someone asks for you. To prevent this unfortunate attitudes; Would you agree?
First off, I apologize if anyone has ever been prejudice to you, Especially at a car show. There has always been a good mix of people and backgrounds at the ones we attend. As far as judging, I always approach a judge when I see them go to my vehicles. I politely asks if they have any questions, and I let them know that there are modifications that may need some explaining. Hope that helps

Alot of things in this video that people probably overlook or forget when they go to a show.
