Sorry it’s 94.5 “The Buzz” Sponsoring the car show… And cant wait, it’s that time of year!

Big problem is see at car shows is how most are judged, each participant is given a slip of paper and can vote for 9 cars. These shows it’s hard to win when a large car club attends and they all vote for their members. They win them all. Same people winning at every show.

Great info and tips, thank you for sharing!!
I imported a 1993 JDM Daihatsu Mira Walk-Through a year ago and I'm learning as I go about car shows in North Carolina.

Problem we have down here in Louisiana with all the larger parking lot shows is they have people walking around "judging" the cars that don't know anything about cars. They just walk around and go "ooh... pretty color... and that's who wins.

Using props at car shows NEED to stop. They have nothing to do with the build, car or parts. It's a car show, not a flea market.

@@OnlinecarshowNet1The judges are very bias towards 1980's and 1990's cars, trucks. Especially if they're old baby boomers. They give themselves, their car club members trophies. They give trophies to 60's, early 70's muscle cars, hot rods, 2000's, 2010's, 2020's mustangs and Corvettes. I have a 1992 OBS Ford F-150, 4×4, lifted, excellent condition and those baby boomer judges won't even bother to judge it. Therefore, I no longer go to car shows that charge $20-$30+ to enter unless it's free.

I was supposed to take my Rumble Bee to WAM this weekend but lost a strut 🥺 taking me 2023 GT Challenger instead. Shes a black hemi orange edition so shell be unique but cant compete with all the heavily moded scats and cats. I dont want to change that classic look. Debated adding the Cuda gills but she looks like a classic throwback.
I picked my GT because it reminded me of my Dad who id lost a few months before. Even debated having a picture of him under the hood.

I don’t participate in shows with new cars especially lambos and Ferrari’s. Pre-70 is what I prefer.

The most disappointing car show's are those sponsored by the good old boys local "car clubs". They are also the judges, and guaranteed they will give the trophies to their own members every time. We do not go to any such show's anymore!

very good point, the group i’m in had a show for a friend of ours that got into a wreck and we raised money for it. we all washed our trucks and i washed my mustang and brought both but we said that our own members could not enter the show and everyone had to be staff helping out and talking to other people. as well as we had people that weren’t affiliated with the group be judges cause other people we were friends with were there.

The judges at car shows can be very discriminative towards 1980's and 1990's cars, trucks. Especially if those judges are baby boomers. They'll only give trophies to 60's, early 70's muscle cars, 2000's, 2010's, 2020's mustangs, corvettes and hot rods. They give themselves and their members trophies. Therefore, I won't take my 1992 OBS Ford f150 to any car show that charges me $20-$30+ to enter unless it's free. I go to cruise-ins which don't have trophies and are all free.

That's because most judges are very discriminative towards 1980's and 1990's cars and trucks. Especially if those judges are all old baby boomers. They don't see any 1980's and 1990's cars as being classics. I have a 1992 OBS Ford F150 and I won't bring it to any car show that will charge me $20-$30+ to enter unless it's free.

Tire shine is trash. Props are trash too. Only allowable prop is a photo album. Toys, dolls, candy, are so bad.

A car can be cool without being expensive. Things like the voxwagan beetle, an amg midget, just something with some personality. Don't try to polish an absolute turd of a grocery getter econobox.
