Im glad im serving a God who is able to deliver. Im glad im serving a God who is able to defend. Im glad im serving a God who is able to do abundantly whatever i could ever ask or think.
One day old Elijah had some problems on a mountain, All alone he stood against 400 prophets of Baal. He said "Let the true God answer by fire upon the alter" When he prayed, the fire came down, you could hear Elijah yell: _Chorus:_ (He said) I'm glad I'm serving a God who's able to deliver, I'm glad I'm serving a God, who's able to defend. I'm glad I'm serving a God, who hears me when I pray, I'm glad I'm serving a God, on whom I can depend. Well, when my life is over and I'm standing in the city, Gathered with the saints and the countless throng. I'll be forever telling, just why I am so happy! 'Cause just like Elijah, I can sing that same song. _Chorus × 3_
I'M A GOSPEL SINGER AND IT IS HARD AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO TRAVEL WITH A BAND ON TODAY'S ECONOMY. I ALSO THANK GOD FOR SOUNDTRACKS TO KEEP THE MINISTRY GOING IN TUFF TIMES. GOD GIVES US THE BRAINS AND THE KNOW HOW TO MANAGE IN ADVERSE SITUATIONS.TO GOD BE THE GLORY. JRS
the last few concerts I have been to the tickets were high but with the cost of fuel and travel I don't mind paying more to hear the beautiful spirit filled music. we need to support all the groups that come to our area as much as possible
I saw this combination live in the spring of1993 in Mississippi. Awesome concert! Anthony did a great job with his testimony. He left the group not long after that.
Guys I'm sad to say it's not the groups being cheap. It is a matter of being able to afford to continue to minister. I have personally watched a major groups sing their hearts out at a church and not even get paid enough to fill the bus up with fuel. With costs rising many groups have been hurt badly. Often men have had to take on jobs as well to provide for their families, so they can continue their ministry.
Its been like that my entire life, Christian folks sitting in the pew and being blessed and then not being generous. But I can tell you that if your Ministry is Truly serving the Lord your needs will be provided for.
u are right on! i honestly can say other than the inspirations & maybe the dove brothers i just am not of southern gospel anymore...the groups arent the same like they used to be!
Icould not agree more with all of the above comments. Even if its just a piano and a bass I would rather a group use that than a track. I miss Jim to and I wonder what will happen to the Kingsmen when Ray decides to retire
I don't know about some of these comments, but...... I'm so, so glad that I'm serving a God who's able to deliver!!!
Come on, Amen! Sing it! Glad to serve the God on whom we can depend!

Start charging the prices that the Collingsworth Family does and you'll be just fine... They're not hurting for money at all.
I wish they had a camera on Anthony Burger. He's playing the keys off that piano!

I understand the money when having a band. But doesn't having a band take away from musician serving God in some way
They sound a lot different than they do in Louie Louie.
It's actually a different Kingsmen that recorded Louie Louie.
Dan Couchman and Greg Velosk (Ableman) now getting a Christian Short c109.... Bob Doyle
