    Playback displays stuttering throughout on my iPad and tv. After adjusting res from 60, 50, 25 and 24Hz it remains the same.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Holy crap, 900kg is the real deal! Looking forward for the sport model!

    • @therealbajan522
      @therealbajan522 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Less than 900kg
      You are right man, this is the real deal, ( the old one was an elephant for such a small car)

    • @Tonyx.yt.
      @Tonyx.yt. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the turbo version is around 900, 840 for the 1.2 N/A

  • @fundiver198
    @fundiver198 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The old model was great in many ways, but the lack of low to mid range tourque from the engine was a really weak point. You had to trash the engine to at least 4.000 RPM to get any sort of power from it, and then it became quite noisy.
    The 100 kg weight loss will already help on this problem, because it improve the power to weight ratio, and if that’s not enough, the new turbo engine is the solution. So while the design might devide opinions, technically the new model is a big step in the right direction for Suzuki, and I am looking forward to test one.

      fundiver198 and the electric engine is only giving it 3 hp ... but 50 more nm (but not all the time I think)(well if you get the hybrid version) making a total of 112 hp and "170 nm"

    • @Noooo23523
      @Noooo23523 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know if the thing with 50nm more is real , I saw it somewhere on the internet about the car

      I hear rumors about mating It with the 140bhp 1.4 boosterjet from Vitara S.
      Couple that with SHVS and the result? It's anyones guess.

    • @mhh3
      @mhh3 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah i think it is going to be the 1.4 boosterjet with a 6 speed manuel but why does the sport model not have awd?

    • @Tonyx.yt.
      @Tonyx.yt. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      because there's no car in this segment with over 100hp and awd

  • @CarvalhoCaldeira
    @CarvalhoCaldeira 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Still waiting for the sport to see if they go turbo this time.

    • @fundiver198
      @fundiver198 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They have the 1,4 liter turbo engine from the Vitara and S-cross now. So it would make no sense to use anything else for the Swift Sport.

  • @Hamachingo
    @Hamachingo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Are they filling the torque gap from the turbo lag with the electric motor? All the 1l turbos I've tried are very unresponsive if you're driving them economically (cruising at 1500 rpm in town) and suddenly need to accelerate a bit for a safe lane change. I hear 2l Mercedes engines bridge the gap with electric power white well.

    • @insidelane
      @insidelane  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Hamachingo Battery is active between 1,500 and 3,900rpm. Yes it does use it to torque fill between those points.

    • @Noooo23523

      The hybdrid motor gives the engine 3 hp and 50nm

      @Noooo23523 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      alkis mak well having 112hp a little turbo and an electric motor to give it more muscles and economy maybe yes(and I think i3 engines are pairing better with single turbos than i4)

    its like mini cooper

    • @Noooo23523
      @Noooo23523 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      md.sohail more like a cheap bmw i8 ( the i8 also has a turbo inline3 that is hybrid but the i3 has over 200hp and its from a mini and the electric motor gives it another 100 and something topping ~360hp)

    • @Noooo23523
      @Noooo23523 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      md.sohail the swift having 109 hp and 3hp from electric motor(and 50nm more) and costing ~15000$ I think

    I think this car is a bit of a frankinstein in terms of styling. There's a lot of Mini in the over shape. The headlamps and bottom of the bumper looks like either a Jag F-Type or Mercedes SLS mashed up together. As polarising as this car looks I think the interior is where it's going capture their customers.

  • @Zerofightervi
    @Zerofightervi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Suzuki need to find a new designer, all of their new models are not lookers, the previous Swift looked better than this new one.
    This almost reminds me of a Fiat Tipo at the front.

    • @fundiver198
      @fundiver198 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In my opinion the Vitara is one of the best looking small crossovers or SUVs. But as for the rest of the range, you do have a point. I am also not so sure about the design of this new Swift, but maybe it will grow on me.

    • @Zerofightervi
      @Zerofightervi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      fundiver198 Again I think the previous Vitara was a better looking car, it had quite a nice unfussy design, the new one might be a better car but it just looks cheap it my eyes.

    • @deet4895
      @deet4895 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      TheRealBajan I got no problem with change buddy. I recon that the old one is a better looking vehicle and that statement still stands.

  • @roadpsychopath
    @roadpsychopath 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just know that its just a baleno with a ugly swift body design on top, nothing wrong with the old design just the lag of power, swift has had that issue Allways, quess you Can't have both.
    Think this is gonna be the Death of the swift, if you ask me, they really droped the Ball on this one.
