Here are my government mandated tips: - when you do build the cleanroom it's much easier to expand vertically rather than horizontally, so making a max height cleanroom is likely the way to go when trying to fit more machines. You should also be able to use a machine hull to pass through ae2 cables if it follows the rules of gtceu on 1.12.2 - gregtech loves to reuse the same fluid in 20 different places (hi sulfuric acid) so my personal recommendation is to make a seperate ae2 network dedicated to storing passived fluids using cells, and then use fluid interfaces to move said fluid around - ae2 energy p2p is a really solid alternative to energy consuits for moving power around, especially since it removes the need to swap every conduit when you need more power. I would recommend making a backup power system just in case so your entire base doesn't get sent to the stone age though - since mid-late game gregtech loves having stuff that needs to go everywhere I recommend adopting more of a "blocks" design where you have seperate passive setups connected via an me system to be able to send or recieve from any other block, which can then also be simplified logistically by using even more me systems to move items around. Ae2 is honestly just an incredibly powerful item logistics system and can completely replace item/fluid pipes if you understand it well enough - once you start producting titanium making a second titanium tetrachloride setup (seperate from the first, since processing it to titanium causes a perfect recycling loop) lets you "catalyze" a lot of reactions to produce more of the chemical and may be worthwhile for some things you need a lot of - Large Chemical Reactor, instead of normal overclocking (4x energy for 2x machine speed) does perfect overclocks (4x energy for 4x machine speed) meaning you should try to replace every chemical reactor you have with the large counterpart to allow recipes to run wayyy faster
@@Logini228 on top of what chaotic had said, they're also generally laggy tps wise, which may not be a real problem in singleplayer, but is something that should very well be taken note of. with enough of them, it could destroy the tps of the internal server, and if you rely solely on those as opposed to pipes, or the other ae2 stuff you likely will have enough to affect the tps by reasonably mid-late game

14:56 At least you don't have to aquire blue steel (and if I had to guess, later red steel) the Terrafirmacraft way it's a lot of heating things up and casting and waiting for things to cool, oh and dealing with the expensive (at that stage) fuel devouring mess that is the Terrafirmacraft blast furnace. Terrafirmagreg LV requires 4 blue and 4 red plates which are either 1 to 1 with 20% loss chance, 2 to 1 manually through a mini game type thing after expending 14 ingots of either type on an anvil, or 3 to 2. I know because it's been kicking me in the shins.
Gregtech has a way to make oxygen infinitely, through the cobblestone processing line. If you forge hammer the cobblestone into sand, make glass dust, centrifuge it, and electrolyze it, it will yield you silicon and oxygen very quickly.
You want true realistic chemistry? Try supersymmetry, it is an in-progress modpack that has real chemical and physical processes in its progression. Its only been created up to the HV tier but that alone is many hours of progress. Done +140ish hours myself getting to MV tier.
Ethanol to Ethylene is pretty simple in real life, through catalytic dehydration of bioethanol (you separate the ethyl and alcohol groupings in a catalyzed reaction) polymerize the ethylene to get polyethylene, a very common plastic (stuff like garbage bags, shampoo and water bottles, industrial plastic tubing, etc) what gets complex is tetrafluoroethylene (note the lack of poly on there, thats easy enough later on). how do you get tetrafluoroethylene? one way is the fluorination of chloroform with hydrofluoric acid, this results in the chemical chlorodifluoromethane (it also makes trifluoromethane, which can also be reacted into tetrafluoroethylene), but thats not tetrafluoroethylene, so we arent done. through pyrolysis, chlorodifluoromethane, and trifluoromethane both turn into tetrafluoroethylene. another way to make it is the pyrolysis of the sodium salt of pentafluoropropanoic acid (its safer to do in a lab than pyrolyzing either chlorodifluoromethane or trifluoromethane). Now, you just polymerize your tetrafluoroethylene and bam, polytetrafluoroethylene I promise you, its far more complicated than what I put here, like, substantially, there is so much more that goes into it, but I didnt feel like writing a 2000 word essay in the youtube comments of a minecraft video so, you get this instead. PS: Pyrolysis is the thermal decomposition of chemicals in an inert (non reactive) atmosphere and no access to oxygen
@@octopuszombie8744 Ethylene to Polyethylene: an organic peroxide is added, and the solution is heated, when heated, the peroxide breaks apart into radicals, a radical will react with the Ethylene, opening the double bond of the Ethylene, forming a new radical, allowing more Ethylene chains to bond together, and this continues until the final free radical of one chain meets another, and they join together, this is referred to as termination, and is the end point of the reaction (which doesn't necessarily HAVE to happen, you can stop the reaction before then if you want/need to) Tetrafluoroethylene to Polytetrafluoroethylene: largely the same as Ethylene as polymerization is essentially the same, but instead of an organic peroxide, they use Ammonium Persulfate, the same type of reaction occurs, albeit a bit more complicated due to the difference in chemicals
