      @@mm72213 K.I.T.T was a robot disguised as a car used as a tool for spies. Christine was a car who was run by Satan, and The CAR was a Hellspawn but not specificall Satan like christine. Herbie was powered by the love of a scientist that he had for his deceased mother. The knockoffs are just plain unexplainable

    Never underestimate the power of a sequel or reboot long after the original thing was made, Herbie Fully Loaded when I was 7 got me hooked on Herbie's first movies. In a similar way the 2004 Thunderbirds movie did the same for the original Thunderbirds show!

    I just watched a 1997 Love Bug with Bruce Campbell in it and the original actor from the first Herbie turns up to help rebuild Herbie after he is murdered by another VW built by the guy who made Herbie it’s an insane movie and I loved it. Never heard of it either I grew up with the original ones watching them I’m on video as a kid in the 80’s.

      Yes! That movie is an underrated gem. It does create a continuity issue because after Herbies funeral they say he needs to be rebuilt from all original parts, but in Fully Loaded he's allowed to get new parts... but it's a magical car. I guess continuity isn't that important. ;)
      Thanks for watchinG!

      Just went on a Herbie marathon (including the underrated 1997 TV Movie) and I actually didn't enjoy Fully Loaded much on a rewatch, I remember enjoying it as a kid but compared to the others, not amazing

      Herbie The Love Bug '97

    My friend George owns the Herbie bug that was used in the Lindsay Lohan scene where she's driving in the destruction Derby in the monster trucks going to run her over she couldn't drive a manual transmission so it's a right hand drive car and you can't see the guy driving it because of the black sheet over the top of him and a small steering wheel he got the car back after the movie was done fully restored for the price he sold it to them there is a Herbie movie premiere in Brenden theaters in Modesto in the car got to be inside the theater for the premiere and our VW club got to park our cars in front 😊✌️

    Maybe this is the Mandela effect. I used to have Disney Channel here in Canada back in the 1980s there was a television series where Jim Douglas was a teacher at a driving school and Herbie was the car at the school part of the series was this guy teaching people how to drive and I forget if him and his wife were married or divorced the reason I bring it up is the show had more than five episodes it had like 20 or 25 episodes all together that's why it's weird that the only television series you came across had five episodes I don't know the exact name of the series but it had Herbie and Jim Douglas and it was done by Disney it's bugging me because like you said this series you mentioned only had five episodes but they used to run the thing like three or four episodes a day on the Disney Channel back in the 80s was a syndicated space fillerWatched a lot of it playing with Lego blocks when I was a kid

    • @PointlessNostalgia
      @PointlessNostalgia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting! It's definitely the same plot, in the show Jim works at the Famous Driving School! The episodes were long and put in an hour long block so maybe Disney split them into small episodes for syndication? I'll dig around and see if I can find anything! Thanks so much for watching!

      @@PointlessNostalgia Digging at the back of my brain. Like I said I remember it being a full length series I could have sworn it was like 20 episodes or more because it was something they played quite a bit on the Disney Channel when I was a kid and if it was only six episodes I can't imagine them looping six episodes over several months every week LOL I loved the Bruce Campbell movie by the way and I wish they had at least had him do a cameo in the Herbie movie they did after that. The way that they did it that Jim Douglas was dead in the movie was kind of Twisted because the actor that played Jim Douglas at that point and I'm pretty sure now is still alive and the guy would have gladly been in the movie far as I know he even has one of the cars they used in one of the movies where he hung onto the car. I remember there being an interview a couple years ago and he had a VW any claimed it was from one of the movies he starred in Playing Jim Douglas. I'm trying to remember the name of the actor but my memory sucks. It's kind of funny when you think about Bruce Campbell has been in everything to the point he was in a Herbie movie. About the only thing I think he hasn't done at this point is James Bond or an episode of Doctor Who lol. When you look at how many projects he's been involved in in front or behind the camera you get what I mean. Plus he's also a voice actor for animation.Really would have been nice if they could have had him and the Jim Douglas character do an appearance in the last Herbie movie. Given how popular the character is I'm surprised there hasn't been more movies
