Never underestimate the power of a sequel or reboot long after the original thing was made, Herbie Fully Loaded when I was 7 got me hooked on Herbie's first movies. In a similar way the 2004 Thunderbirds movie did the same for the original Thunderbirds show!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Just went on a Herbie marathon (including the underrated 1997 TV Movie) and I actually didn't enjoy Fully Loaded much on a rewatch, I remember enjoying it as a kid but compared to the others, not amazing My list goes as follows, from worst to best Herbie Goes Bananas Herbie Fully Loaded Herbie The Love Bug '97 Herbie Rides Again Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo The Love Bug Still all great films tho
I just watched a 1997 Love Bug with Bruce Campbell in it and the original actor from the first Herbie turns up to help rebuild Herbie after he is murdered by another VW built by the guy who made Herbie it’s an insane movie and I loved it. Never heard of it either I grew up with the original ones watching them I’m on video as a kid in the 80’s.
Yes! That movie is an underrated gem. It does create a continuity issue because after Herbies funeral they say he needs to be rebuilt from all original parts, but in Fully Loaded he's allowed to get new parts... but it's a magical car. I guess continuity isn't that important. ;) Thanks for watchinG!
Dude, I love Herbie! I had all five originals on VHS, then the box set of the first four and the Lindsey Logan one on DVD. Wont lie, The Love Bug was probably my favorite! But ive see goes banana’s 1 million times! Glad I stumbled upon your Bic video then found this one! 5️⃣3️⃣
I tried to find a connection between Gilligan's Island and Herbie and surprisingly, I couldn't find anything. I did find Broadway star E. J. Peaker riding in Herbie in a Disneyland special. She later played Natalie Schafer in Surviving Gilligan's Island.
I'm a fan of your Galaxycon Raleigh panels. These vlogs are very cool, too. Thanks for doing them. I see some Herbies sometimes out on the road. Still a popular car.
Glad i came across your post . I grew up watching herby. I now want to get one of those modified bugs thats been put up on a 4x4 , and paint it like herby!
I saw herbie split in half at Disney world in 2006, good times. We also saw the honey I shrunk the kids attraction complete with super tall blades of grass and a huge thing of play doh. My youngest sister 2 at the time got to meet and hug pooh bear.
Love Herbie.. still do.. love VW’s and Dune Buggies in general.. speaking of that, have you ever tried to find out what happened to “Wonder-Bug and Shlep” from the Kroft Super Show??
My friend George owns the Herbie bug that was used in the Lindsay Lohan scene where she's driving in the destruction Derby in the monster trucks going to run her over she couldn't drive a manual transmission so it's a right hand drive car and you can't see the guy driving it because of the black sheet over the top of him and a small steering wheel he got the car back after the movie was done fully restored for the price he sold it to them there is a Herbie movie premiere in Brenden theaters in Modesto in the car got to be inside the theater for the premiere and our VW club got to park our cars in front 😊✌️

@PointlessNostalgia I'm going to be watching the Dudu movies that I never knew about. I'm a huge Herbie fan. Last weekend, I found a knockoff Herbie sculpture of my own at a flea market for just $1. Not as wild as yours but kind of similar.
