I just about go into withdraw symptoms waiting for your video to post on Friday. If you miss a week I have to be hospitalized in the lockdown ward. Thats okay...at least I get to see my friends.
I'm wondering what that old schrew thinks of you, cuz. You know, that one old video I came across not long ago. It was one of your early episodes 4 or 5yrs back, when she told you to get a real job. Glad you got the truck up and running!
oh second comment, you ever think about hitting garage sales and maybe offer a bulk buy on whatever doesnt sell that might have scrap value? might be a win-win
I say thank YOU. Personally, I wouldn't watch if you made crappy content. Keep up the good work. Great to see the truck back in action. I use an 05 ranger myself. And I do just fine with it.
You're getting Better prices on just about Everything, here in Central Indiana everything is about 10 to 20 cents less compared to your prices. I hope they go up soon! Good vid!
I get so many comments abt bad lighting in the garage 😭 I have all the lights I need, I make it dim on purpose for the cave aesthetic! Do people really want to see the dingy plywood walls so badly?
Nice video, I like the way you make the cuts to shorten it to make some cinematographic effects. Happy you recovered your truck. Frankly, I had forgotten it, lost hope to see it again. Nice pay day. So bad that the extruded AL and SS prices are so low compared to last year.
Thub - 1 - When drills are overheating, obviously try to put them in low range if it has a selector. But also keep a windex bottle of tap water in there, and just squirt 5 or 6 squirts into the intake vents when you're running it once in a while. Until it mists a jetstream out the output. It won't hurt the electrics any if it's hot and being spun for another 10 seconds at least (fans throw all the water aside, heat makes sure the surface dries up in a minute so there's no surface rust. 2 - Need to save some of the lumber you find once in a while and build yourself an A-frame to the garage peak (or a pair with a base beam each, and then a strong beam between), so you can use a $40 princess auto winch to lift heavy stuff in and out of the truck. Even the smallest winch you can buy is rated for 2000lbs. It's a pretty cheap project that significantly improves your ability to load an unload. Truck cranes also aren't that expensive, you can find 'em on sale for $150-200.
I’d love to add the lift to the garage, would’ve made the engine swap easier too! The beams in the roof are exposed so I could use them, as long as I reinforce them. A pair of pine 2x4s probably aren’t rated for 2000lbs lol
30:05 if you heat the tip of the putty knife before you scrape, itll make heck of a difference. Equally a heat gun, way less equally a hair dryer, less less equally, leave the sink in the sun and scrape whilst its out there.
It was fun watching you play tetra with the little red car, but lets be honest in your line of business you need the truck , I'm sure you probably think the same, was enjoyable though
I try to sell everything that works or materials that seem useful for things, I am pretty critical about what I take the time to photograph and list though. Tbh I didn’t even think about it for those housings
I dont keep steel scrap either. I don't have the space to store it and it's not worth going to the scrap yard every day, it would cost too much. I can store the non-ferrous in buckets. I have someone I call whenever if find stuff and take it apart.
Video idea: I'd really like to see you take the wood off the back off the truck, give it a little sand down and a couple of coats of linseed oil ready for winter
YAY little truck! So happy for you. What an ordeal. I love these going through it videos. Makes me feel like I accomplished something. Thanks, Thub . . I've been having an extra lousy day (in no small part due to the entire gallon of milk that hopped out of the fridge and burst from here to Bakersfield) and you cheered me up. "I'm Thor!" "Here - take thethe two athpirin."
Great video, glad you got your truck 🚛 up and running now. And thanks for all the information you give us all, it comes in useful even the little things you tell us about.. 👍😃
Love the video, I am going to sort my own scrap tomorrow.found among other things a cast Iron stowe, what will it bring of cash? Greatings from Denmark😁
As of this vid, my truck has a couple more days in the shop to get a rebuilt transmission😢 I hope two fridges I see dumped behind a building are still there. Kind of going through scrap withdrawals😅 But there’s always other micro scrapping to catch up on!
The window sash balance must be just a replacement for a metal counterweight. Mostly those are cast iron weights. That spring spool with brass tape is pretty cool.
i just enjoy your content :) recently i needed more space at home and loaded my car with 320kg of metalscrap and got 32€ out of it. just not worth it in germany :-( so sad :/
Iam the same as the bike guy I don't bother with steel unless it's a big amount or stainless as it's only worth about £130 per metric ton. I give it away to another scraper
I'm trying to buy scrap metal, and your channel is helping! Any tips on how to find or maybe what kind of companies out there might have scrap/ broken heavy machinery laying around that might be willing to negotiate or collaborate with my company? Thanks again and have a great day!
Glad you got your truck back. Was thinking, if you could do a video on what really happens to plastic and glass bottles after they get put in the recycle bins. That to me would be fascinating to find out.
Oh it’s not in videos, it’s just one of the links on the main page if you go to channel>about. I really don’t bring it up a lot because I struggle to ask for things haha
you gonna do a patreon or activate the super thanks button on youtube? also this episode was great, I am so looking forward to the truck video..please let there be lasers in that one or at least a cat or pizza make it EPIC!
$110 for all that? Thats it? Thats about $80 USD! I feel like gas, wear and tear, and time all added up makes scrapping very difficult to actually turn a profit...
I can appreciate the thoughts of wanting to clean your scrap area. However my shed and basement will never be clean. This is a lifelong hobby, perhaps more organized from time to time but clean it will never be.
Really enjoyed that. Glad you have the truck back and looking forward to you going out on a scrap hunt in it. ps. I also have a collection of keys and was (coincidently) sorting through them this morning. Greetings from Welsh Wales.
I’ve been thinking about that as an option but I’d love to just sell the whole unit at once to someone who wants the transmission/differential/tcase. Gonna keep it listed for a couple weeks and I’ll scrap it if it comes down to that
I may have been unclear, I’m not scrapping the truck, but I do have the donor truck that I need to get out of the yard so the question is how much I can reclaim from it
Thanks Thub!!!😊
The thing with the brass counter balance was for window weight to help open heavy windows
Yeah, for old sash type windows with the vertically sliding panes. The tape would be brass so that it doesn't rust.
Steel is the meal!!
Always a great day when Thub posts!
Of course. They are always on a Friday!
Over 100K subs. Got the old girl back on the road. Lets go.
I just about go into withdraw symptoms waiting for your video to post on Friday. If you miss a week I have to be hospitalized in the lockdown ward. Thats okay...at least I get to see my friends.
Oh no, that’s a lot of pressure! Good thing I have no intention of missing a week haha
thub, my favorite survivor.
I thought I spied the truck in the last video, good to see it back. Time to catch up and Fill 'er Up. 👍
Glad you have the truck back and running.
Best videos in the world!
Cheers on your success M8.
17:54 when you look for your clippers 😅
Glad truck back. Keep up awesome work
Nice to see the truck back 🎉🎉❤
I'm so glad you got your truck fixeed.
those activities sure makes one strong, too bad I still eat too much to lift anyting
Love scrapping out those big parking lot lighting fixtures. Cast ally base with big copper transformers! FTW!
Nice to see your truck back.
That's good news, mate. Truck is a good working horse.
Nice to see you with your pickup
Dude! That truck can handle it. It's basically a FORD EFFIN RANGER!!!!
FORRRRRRRRRRRRRRDRANGER!
Man somebody was doing some serious vacuuming
Nice work mate, so glad to see you e got your truck back fixed.
The sash balance is a doo dad that makes sash style windows slide up and down smoothly.
I'm wondering what that old schrew thinks of you, cuz. You know, that one old video I came across not long ago. It was one of your early episodes 4 or 5yrs back, when she told you to get a real job.

oh second comment, you ever think about hitting garage sales and maybe offer a bulk buy on whatever doesnt sell that might have scrap value? might be a win-win
I know it sucks getting dirty an ruining clothes you look great with our hair down and real clothes.
Got to be honest brother the best episode of the year. Awesome to see the truck up and running. Can't wait for the truck update
Thanks so much! There was quite a bit of stuff waiting on this dumb engine swap haha
there goes the left bearing. Darn!
What do you mean?? Do you know something I don’t?? (It has been making a bit of noise now 😆)
I don't know sometimes God tells me things I know nothing about. How amazing God is!
Congrats, Thub! We're all happy for you on the truck success and reorganizing.
Good to see the truck back in action Bro CheeRs #scraphound
Glad the truck is back out earning 👏
Hey man it was great to run into you today. Thanks for all the vids. Really helped me out over the last few years.
Welcome back truckster ❤
I say thank YOU. Personally, I wouldn't watch if you made crappy content. Keep up the good work. Great to see the truck back in action. I use an 05 ranger myself. And I do just fine with it.
enjoyed thanks

Well remember I’m in Canada so you’d have to convert from CAD$
@@thubprint Oh, that's right!
That was impressive watching that forklift operator.
So happy you finally have your truck back. Looking forward to seeing the video all about it.
Glad to see some better lighting. Also, the truck! 🤣
I get so many comments abt bad lighting in the garage 😭 I have all the lights I need, I make it dim on purpose for the cave aesthetic! Do people really want to see the dingy plywood walls so badly?
Holy cow Thubb that's awesome.
The old Vibe will be sooo jealous 😂
Nice video, I like the way you make the cuts to shorten it to make some cinematographic effects.
Happy you recovered your truck. Frankly, I had forgotten it, lost hope to see it again.
Nice pay day. So bad that the extruded AL and SS prices are so low compared to last year.
Thank you! I enjoy making these ones and doing my best to not have long and visually boring camera angles. Always room for improvement of course!
Glad to see you back. Just wish steel would go up. Just carried off 1200 pounds for $80. Jeez.

Love the content, glad you have your truck back. You need a trailer now!!
Nice, also today i found a stove top in a valley
I got lots of brass and copper to split and get plastic off how do you stay motivated to do it
Great video glad you’re truck is up and running
Heck yeah. Outside in the garage workin on scrap now!! Great video bud!
"Upper Sash" is a system for raising or lowering double windows. My son restores them.
I appreciate all the info and tips im new to scrapping
Dig these vids, gotta go clean up myself in the scrap shack ✌️
Thub Life
Great job on the truck, look forward to seeing you out and about filling it
It was fun watching you play tetra with the little red car, but lets be honest in your line of business you need the truck , I'm sure you probably think the same, was enjoyable though
Great video
So glad to see the truck back in action. Keep up the awesome work Thub
HOLY MOLY!!! Gratz on having the truck back! Great job by you and your buddy
As stated it's time to get back at it. Until the next video
Nice to see the truck employed once again. Very nice video.😃 🏴☠
I could think of some artsy things to do with those big lights. The housing anyway. Do you ever try to sell stuff before you smash it?
I try to sell everything that works or materials that seem useful for things, I am pretty critical about what I take the time to photograph and list though. Tbh I didn’t even think about it for those housings
Sweet that you got the truck up. If the stripmiester was dialed in, could you have pulled the wire through?
so glad the truck is back in service agin it will make your hunting for scrap so much better too thank you for shareing god bless
I dont keep steel scrap either. I don't have the space to store it and it's not worth going to the scrap yard every day, it would cost too much. I can store the non-ferrous in buckets. I have someone I call whenever if find stuff and take it apart.
I'm soooo glad you got the truck back! You've been like half a Thub without it! LOL
Good to see you're back at full tilt.
Always a highlight of the week your scrapping videos 👍
Video idea: I'd really like to see you take the wood off the back off the truck, give it a little sand down and a couple of coats of linseed oil ready for winter

A whole gallon of milk? Wow, that’s a fun twist to an afternoon! 😆
Always glad to see you, happy to be a part of the week 😊
Great video, glad you got your truck 🚛 up and running now. And thanks for all the information you give us all, it comes in useful even the little things you tell us about.. 👍😃
Good luck bro ,need cash back now👍
Love the video, I am going to sort my own scrap tomorrow.found among other things a cast Iron stowe, what will it bring of cash? Greatings from Denmark😁
Good day Sir what are we getting into today
Thank you for the videos thub your amazing and the best scrapper ever. Legacy
I often see cast lead weights, but I only get 70c/kg AUD because they have steel in them
How do you tell the difference between cast aluminum and pot metal?
i just enjoy your content :) recently i needed more space at home and loaded my car with 320kg of metalscrap and got 32€ out of it. just not worth it in germany :-( so sad :/
Oh wow, that is really not great money 🫤 better than paying to drop it off at a landfill I suppose but barely covers the gas at that point
Iam the same as the bike guy I don't bother with steel unless it's a big amount or stainless as it's only worth about £130 per metric ton. I give it away to another scraper
WOW! Nice work. You are always so inspiring to me
If you have something big that you want to keep. Reach out. I have a flat bed tow truck
I'm trying to buy scrap metal, and your channel is helping! Any tips on how to find or maybe what kind of companies out there might have scrap/ broken heavy machinery laying around that might be willing to negotiate or collaborate with my company? Thanks again and have a great day!
I’ve seen some people pry copper tubes out of radiators. Do you not do that or are they all not copper tubing. Great videos.
Glad you got your truck back. Was thinking, if you could do a video on what really happens to plastic and glass bottles after they get put in the recycle bins. That to me would be fascinating to find out.
Why doesn't your tip jar show up on my screen? Is it because I'm located in US?
Oh it’s not in videos, it’s just one of the links on the main page if you go to channel>about. I really don’t bring it up a lot because I struggle to ask for things haha
you gonna do a patreon or activate the super thanks button on youtube? also this episode was great, I am so looking forward to the truck video..please let there be lasers in that one or at least a cat or pizza make it EPIC!
Lasers… cat.. pizza… 📝 got it!

Sorry for bothering You. I love you bro. When you start drinkig crap I know Caos 3dq Works
Really enjoyed that. Glad you have the truck back and looking forward to you going out on a scrap hunt in it. ps. I also have a collection of keys and was (coincidently) sorting through them this morning. Greetings from Welsh Wales.
I'm truly sorry for the loss of your Queen Elizabeth she's touched so many lives. Greetings from the United States of America.
its like Ubering the cost of gas and wear and tear on vehicle makes it not worth doing
god bless thubprint
According to Michael's navy cheaters never prosper!
Why don't you scrap out the parts truck instead of trying to sell it whole?
I’ve been thinking about that as an option but I’d love to just sell the whole unit at once to someone who wants the transmission/differential/tcase. Gonna keep it listed for a couple weeks and I’ll scrap it if it comes down to that
Damn i could have fixed those scales lmao
Hey, 777th like, my lucky day maybe lol
Yi know there was all these fires and you proffit from them rather than helping them nice gye1!
Oh your gonna fubar your truck again? Where is the baby?
I may have been unclear, I’m not scrapping the truck, but I do have the donor truck that I need to get out of the yard so the question is how much I can reclaim from it
Get your beer and screw the rest!
thub give some love to a scrap channel called looking for treasure.
Where is the little pretty girl?
